Such a nice and comfortable place to stay! We're spent an amazing week in August 2025 at the house, there's everything you need. So close to Kiptopeke State Park or Cape Charles beaches. Beautiful location, want to come back once again. Happy with this choice! The house's owner is very friendly and kind person, easy to contact.

I stayed here alone to fish at the Kiptopeke State Park and at nearby Wise Point. Had a great time at the cottage. The host Rufus was excellent, providing clear and accurate check in instructions and helpful information. The cottage was very clean and adequately equipped. I will return again. Tom Faisant.

Beautiful cozy cottage at Kiptopeke

Lovely cozy cottage with ideal location near Kiptopeke State Park. This was our second stay and we enjoyed ourselves as much this year as last year! Very peaceful, clean, and convenient 15 minute drive to town of Cape Charles. Highly recommend!

We selected this house for its approximately 15 minute drive to Cape Charles beach. It served us well. The inside was clean and comfortable.

September boating at Kiptopeake

We enjoy the area and boating in the bay and on the ocean side. The restaurants are good and we generally take a day down at Virginia Beach/Back Bay and a day up at Chincoteague/Assateague. They week we managed four solid days on the water.

Easy access to Kiptopeke

We had a very nice stay. Peaceful but a little road noice if you sit on the deck. Very easy access to the boat ramp at Kiptopeke. So it’s an excellent place to stay if you’re going to fish the eastern shore.

A Solid Stay with Just a Few Things to Improve On

We really enjoyed our stay here with the proximity to the beach and cozy quarters. A couple of things could be done to make it a five-star for me. The WiFi was not working for us. Some trash was scattered through the yard and black mold was on the porch. We were missing soaps and shampoos for the shower. Lastly, I would wrap the back left leg of the single recliner chair as it claimed our toes three times this week. While there were some negatives as mentioned above, I believe there is still solid value in renting this vacation home.

It was perfectly convenient for my stay. Park was 5 minutes if you walked slow, to smell the roses. Only a couple of minor issues with the hot water..might need to flush it. And the coffee maker..But, still loved your proerty. I would definitely stay again!! Thank you very much for letting me stay. v/r, DD oses.

Great Location


Walking distance to State Park , which had nice trails, boat launch and beach. Cottage was cute inside, water was hot for showers . Need new mattresses on beds. Could use more cooking utensils. Screen on screen door needs to be replaced ripped in a few spots . Porch needs to be screened in , can’t enjoy sitting out for morning coffee or in the evening for hanging out and meals , and steps going up to the porch needs hand railings. No fire ring to enjoy at night . Outside of cottage needs a make over. Infested with fruit flies, got worse the last two days, hiding in the sinks , refrigerator , freezer , and closets, had to cover drinks and food plates while eating. and stink bugs were bad. Needs pest control more often. Air conditioning worked great ! Very close to route 13 , can hear trucks all hours of the night . Furniture was very comfortable and everything reclined with electric push buttons , which was awesome ! Nice Island Bar with stools, that we enjoyed hanging out at eating and drinking coffee. Had tons of k-cups and creamers and different other supplies. Property owner had great communication and easy check in and out . Didn’t like taking garbage and recycling a mile down the road to the deposit area . Should be part of the cleaning fee.

Vacay at Kiptopeke

The house is nice , renovated inside has a nice sofa, kitchen with basic tools that you need for cooking. Bedrooms has new linens and pillows are comfy. It’s would be nice to stay at the back porch if it’s screened! Nevertheless it’s good to leave your wet stuff there after swimming. Front door should have a cover or railings at least it’s dangerous if you have children. The wifi is a pain! Overall our stay is good we are all adults so we managed just fine,
