Cabine paisible avec vĂ©randa, grande terrasse, cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e. Asseyez-vous sur la balançoire et regardez la riviĂšre. Ou prenez un flotteur dans votre kayak ou votre tube, il y a de nombreux points de lancement publics Ă  proximitĂ©. Un accĂšs Ă©troit Ă  la riviĂšre vous permet de nager ou de pĂȘcher Ă  votre guise.
Un paradis pour les ornithologues! Nous avons vu des balbuzards, des aigles, des hérons et d'autres oiseaux aquatiques, ainsi que d'innombrables oiseaux chanteurs. Ajoutez vos spottings à notre liste!
Visitez des sites historiques comme Old Bedford Village ou le Coverlet Museum, ou achetez des antiquitĂ©s Ă  proximitĂ©. La cabine est proche de Bedford et d’Everett, mais sur une voie rurale tranquille sans trafic de transit.
Profitez de l'anneau de feu et de la table de pique-nique dans la cour ou dĂźnez Ă  l'intĂ©rieur avec une vue sur les mangeoires d'oiseaux. The cottage is situated beautifully on the Juniata River. Quiet area with few cars. We were disappointed that the river access to the river was not accessible since the river was so low...the access by the owners left a gap of 4' between their last step and the river so we were not able to use that at all.(I specifically asked about river access before booking) Also, they must have had a limb fall on their back screened in porch and are in the process of rebuilding it so while there was a roof, it was not quite finished being built as the part of the porch that was hit was not screened in. Cabin itself was as listed, except floors are very creaky. Shower stall was narrow in bathroom and my friend felt very unstable in it. We had a nice time together and were glad to get away; this is a very peaceful location otherwise. Our belongings, even after we left, smell like the cabin.

Peaceful place along the river with all the comforts of home. This delightful cottage brought to mind so many great memories of days gone by. It was only the two of us this trip, myself and my husband, but I think this would be a fantastic little getaway for our whole family.

We love coming here

We come to this cabin every year-- five years in a row now-- and we love it. It's clean, comfortable, the bird watching is excellent, and it's so quiet and relaxing.If this property ever went up for sale I'd buy it so fast.

Perfect getaway

Perfect getaway. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The house was completely stocked and clean. The river is a few steps out the door. It rained the entire time so we didnt fish much. The host susan went above and beyond. If you're looking to be off grid this is the place for you. We are already planning our next trip(we plan to stay a lot longer next time.

We look forward to this trip every year.

This cabin is clean, comfortable, and offers great views of the Juniata River. My partner and I come every June and we absolutely love it. It's quiet, secluded, and a great spot for fishing or bird watching. Can't recommend it enough-- we're already planning our stay for next year. Honestly, if the owners are ever looking to sell... I'd buy it!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

Perfect location on the Juniata River. We saw deer, chipmunks, fish (BIG FISH), turtles and a Baltimore Oriole bird, yellow finch, blue heron. Peaceful - kids stayed on the river all day kayaking, swimming & fishing. Beds were comfortable and A/C was a blessing. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

Memorial Day Weekend

This was our third visit. It is a perfect spot right on the banks of the Juniata. It is not a far drive for biking the local HB&T Trail, Abandoned PA Turnpike and a little further away is the Lower Trail. Also several shops and restaurants in Everett and Bedford. This is a cozy, rustic getaway that we have come to very much like. Susan is the perfect host!

Great little getaway

This was a great spot cute little cabin on the river Mothball smell was a bit intense but they did say we were the first guest of the season we just opened some windows and aired it out then it was fine for the rest of our stay. Beds were really comfortable we all slept great!

Peaceful Vacation

The property was clean, quiet and very pleasant. Susan was very accommodative and easy to communicate with. She was very prompt at responding for the queries. We had a great time and enjoyed the surroundings. The heater and extra blankets were very helpful as the weather is clod. I would highly recommend this house for vacation . The Kayaks were a good bonus. Our kids enjoyed it a lot.

Hello! My husband and I live in a small town between Lancaster and Philadelphia. My husband Tony works in the Tree Care industry (following in his father's footsteps!) I'm a self-employed instructional designer. I love being a host because it lets me share the beautiful area around the cabin with lots of people. I feel like I'm making the world a better place by sharing a quiet, relaxing area where you can rest and re-energize in nature.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The cabin has been in my husband's family for three generations! His parents lived there full time after they retired. The cabin is full of fond memories for us. My Father-in-Law was an Arborist. He was active in the Boy Scouts and was fascinated by Native American history and lore. My Mother-in-Law was an avid bird watcher. You'll find the upstairs library is full of titles related to their varied interests, along with some classics and popular fiction. We have tried to keep the vintage feel of the cabin while upgrading it with modern conveniences. I hope you enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our cabin!
