Beautiful location and perfect villa

We had a wonderful time and would recommend the village of Salema and the villa itself to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday with all the amenities. The beach is beautiful and there are so many lovely places to eat just a walk away. It is perfect for families with older children who would enjoy some independence.

Wonderful location

Great communication, great house, pool, and view. Only thing I would add is fans in the bathrooms, a vacuum (sand is inevitable in the house despite leaving shoes outside), and an updated dryer

Fabulous House and Location

The house is fabulous. Great layout with playroom (pool table....) next to the pool. Kitchen has a great layout for cooking. Quick walk into town and the beach. If you want a relaxing place to stay and then drive to go sightseeing this is the place. Loved staying here and would definitely return. The owner really cares about his properties and quickly responds to inquiries.

Great Location; Great Property

The property looked the same as the on-line pictures! Unbelievable view of the water and coastline. Plenty of room for 10 people. Ages of family was 23-59. We all enjoyed the property and the town of Salema. Great walkable area for active people. We would recommend this property and town.

Simply stunning Salema

Wonderful spacious property with beautiful views and comfortable beds! Each room having its own bathroom made it ideal for us as 2 families with adult kids. The kitchen was well equipped for dining in, and the villa was well positioned to access cocktail bars and restaurants in Salema. We could lie by the pool or stroll down to the beach

The house was really beautiful, big enough to accommodate our large party very comfortably. Salema is a lovely town a short walk away, with a good beach. The pool was warm and clean, the small shallow corner pool for children to play in was particularly appreciated. The games room was brilliant. We loved the blackboard wall. Multiple fridges and dining areas were well thought through. We had a very happy time.Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, which we were only notified about when we asked.I have delayed writing this review in the hopes that our damage deposit would be refunded as promised. At the time of writing two weeks after our return, despite promises that we will have the full amount refunded, technical issues are preventing this, which has tainted a brilliant holiday a little

Fantastic house with gorgeous views

We had a lovely two week stay at this property. The host provided us with all the details we needed to grt to the house and about the town and surrounding area, so check in was a breeze. The house is very clean, very well appointed, and modern. The views are gorgeous. There is a beautiful secluded beach a stones throw from the house down an adventurous trail. Salema itself is a great little town as well; not touristy at all- very low key and down to earth. Samantha was there for us every step of the way and made our stay very easy. We’d go again!

Fantastic holiday with old friends

This delightful villa was better than described. Location and sea view is stunning from the terraces, balconies and all rooms in this light and airy villa. The villa is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for a very relaxing holiday. We enjoyed the pool and games room and had several barbecues. The village and beach is within easy walking distance and is quiet and very clean. Although the sea is cold it is exhilarating and great fun when the breakers are rolling in. We would recommend this villa and the surrounding area of the Algarve. Finally the owners and staff of 'Simply Salema' could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic Villa!!

We loved the villa and the description on the website matched all expectations. The property was well maintained and the Manager was very good and attended to any small problems immediately. We have 2 suggestions, viz: Convert the barbecue to gas as this makes cleaning for holidaymakers easier!! Also provide a wire brush for cleaning the grid. We found the wall around the pool area blocked out the sea view; we believe this replaced the fence because walkers on the path intruded on privacy. Surely the latter can be solved by some polite notices?!! We really do think this spoils the pool area and defeats the purpose of a "pool by the sea". Peter Ledger South Africa

Sumer family get together

This property is really lovely. Large communal areas such as the lounge, dining and pool areas. Bedrooms are light and airy in the main villa and very comfortable. We stayed in the self contained annexe and the grown up kids and grandchildren stayed in the main villa. This worked really well for us. Kitchen is well equipped. Villa is in a great spot with amazing views and its a short 10 minute walk in to Salema which we believe is the jewel of the Algarve. It's a perfect little village with friendly and comfortable restaurants serving great food. The beach is amazing and well equipped with sun beds, cabanas and umbrellas. The only downside of the holiday/villa was the fact that in mid July it was still exceptionally windy making it very cold in the evenings. Sunbathing at the villa during the day was fine but we were disappointed that the sun went off the whole pool area by 4.30pm/5pm latest and therefore we had to go inside as it was just too cold outside. It wasnt comfortable using the BBQ as it was really chilly. We felt this was a real shame as it made the days shorter and the evenings longer - we like to sunbathe later than this. Overall we would recommend this villa - it was lovely and clean, the man who met us there was very helpful and it felt really homely. Thank you!

The pool and games room were an added bonus, and were enjoyed by all during the week. the location is idyllic, and it is a short walk to the beach, and local resteraunts. Fantastic....perfect villa and perfect setting!!

We have stayed in many villas over the years and this is by far the best. Not only is it truly luxurious, the location is perfect with direct access onto an unspoiled beach. Simply Salema could not be more helpful and provided a very personalised holiday. We will be returning and would definitely recommend both the villa and Simply Salema to anyone wanting a holiday to remember.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Simply Salema - Luxury Algarve Villas

Image de profil de l’hôte
We're Ben Marshall and family — passionate lovers of Salema and the western Algarve, where we've been holidaying for generations. That passion inspired us to build a unique portfolio of four luxury villas in this special corner of Portugal, all available through our Simply Salema collection.

Casa das Estevas is our pride and joy: a stunning beachfront villa designed for exclusive occupancy by a single group of friends or family. This large luxury villa sits just metres from the sea in a peaceful setting – where you can clearly see and hear the waves from the comfort of the villa. The coastal views are truly picture-postcard and Salema's charming village centre and main beach are just a five-minute stroll away.

Beachfront locations like this are rare on the Algarve, and we're genuinely proud to share it. We look forward to welcoming you to Simply Salema!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Salema chose us, really. After years of family holidays in this beautiful, unspoilt village on the western Algarve, we fell so deeply in love with the place that we decided to put down roots — designing and building Casa das Estevas from the ground up to share that same joy with others.

What makes Salema so special is precisely what makes it rare: it's a genuine, working fishing village with an authenticity that's increasingly hard to find on the Algarve. The beach is quiet and sheltered, the pace of life is slow and the scenery is simply breathtaking. For us, it was the perfect place to create something we're truly proud of.

Casa das Estevas reflects everything we love about being here - a spacious 6 bedroom beachfront home built to the highest standards, with direct beach access and a rooftop terrace that has to be seen to be believed. Add to that a large games room with bar, private swimming pool with a separate children's area, hot tub and a purpose-built BBQ area, and you have a villa designed for making unforgettable memories - just as Salema has always done for the Marshall family and guests for the past 20+ years, many of whom have become firm friends.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

In a word: location. Beachfront villas with direct beach access are exceptionally rare on the Algarve and Casa das Estevas sits just metres from a quiet, sheltered cove that feels almost entirely private. You can hear the waves from your terrace. That alone sets it apart.

But the villa itself matches the setting in every way. Designed and built by our family to the very highest specifications, this spacious 6 bedroom home is as well-equipped as it is beautiful. A large private swimming pool with a separate children's area, a hot tub, a dedicated games room with bar, full air-conditioning throughout and a majestic rooftop terrace with sweeping coastal views - every detail has been considered to ensure your stay is as comfortable and memorable as possible.

Casa das Estevas isn't just a luxury villa. It's a complete holiday experience in one of the most special spots on Portugal's southern coast.
