Bel appartement indépendant dans une ancienne ferme toscane récemment restaurée. Les chambres ont toutes des toits traditionnels avec poutres et tuiles. Jardin et piscine à l'usage des clients et parking sur place.
Stonehouse constitue un pied-à-terre idéal pour visiter les villes historiques de Lucca, Pise, Florence et Sienne. Pour une journée plus reposante, les plages de Viareggio et Marina di Vecchiano sont à une demi-heure de route. Vous pouvez aussi prendre un vélo pour explorer le marais de Bientina ou les collines de Pisan.
Les Alpes Apuanes, avec leurs paysages raffinés et leurs carrières de marbre historiques sont également à proximité, tout comme les Apennins plus doux.

traumhaft schönes Ambiente
Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen in der hübschen Wohnung im ersten Stock. Der Garten ist sehr groß, schön und liebevoll gepflegt mit vielen schattigen Sitzplätzen und auch der Pool ist spitze. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Man sollte aber wissen, dass man auf ein Auto angewiesen ist, da sich weder Restaurants noch Läden in Laufnähe befinden. Mit dem Auto erreicht man aber schon in 6 Minuten einen Supermarkt und in ca. 10 Minuten diverse Lokale. Ich kann das Stonehouse nur weiterempfehlen!

A beautiful oasis!
We spent several evenings at this quaint farm in Tuscany. It was the absolute highlight of our trip to Italy!! The farm was in the perfect location for our day trips throughout the area. David even helped us pay our local parking ticket. The perfect hosts!

Lovely house near Lucca
We stayed with our two daughters (4yr and 1yr) at Paola and David's place and had a lovely time. The swimming pool and air conditioning were very welcome as we stayed in probably the hottest week of the year. The apartment is spacious but cozy and the garden is lovely. Recommended!

Just what we hoped for!
Loved our stay at this beautiful old stone house. The owners live on site and were so helpful with directions, suggestions for shopping, etc. The grounds are gorgeous! Food and wine, and homemade jam, were provided for our first night which was appreciated. Aside from the couches needing replacing, the entire apartment was spacious and delightful. It had lovely little decorative touches to make it homey. The beds were comfortable and we had two full bathrooms for the four of us (2 retired couples). The house is in the country but only minutes from a grocery store and other shops. We made dinner most evenings after touring all day. The location, near the walled city of Lucca, it is central to so many towns - we spent a week exploring Tuscany (including Pisa, Siena, Cinque Terre) and absolutely loved it. The roads were narrow and curvy but quite safe if driven appropriately. Would highly recommend it.

Sauber und gut ausgestattet
Wir waren 12 Tage in der Unterkunft. Es war super ordentlich und sauber. Die Anbindung zu den Städten war gut. Leider konnte man keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit oder ein Restaurant ohne Auto erreichen.

Spacious apartment in Stonehouse
We stayed, with a family of 5, in the Stonehouse of Paola and David for 1 week. It was a very pleasant stay. We had an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a spacious living. When we arrived there was a welcome package in our apartment with a homemade pie, wine, jam and some other things. this was so nice! They have a little pool and a lovely garden where they grow tomato's, courgettes, plumes, lemons, cucumbers etc. Thanks Paola and David! Frank, Mieneke, Isa, Olaf en Fiene

wunderschöne Ferienwohnung
Wir waren vom 22.7 bis 29.7 im Steinhaus und waren restlos glücklich. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und hatten immer ein offenes Ohr bei Fragen. Wir können dass Angebot nur weiterempfehlen.

Quaint farmhouse - great location!
We spent three evenings at the Old Stone Farmhouse this past week. We loved the location and found it to be near many of the places we wanted to visit such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We liked that it was tucked out of the way an truly in the country. The inside of the rental was plenty large for all 5 of us (2 parents and 3 adult children). We enjoyed that it had wi-fi as well. The only drawback was that it was cool in the evenings and we were actually cold in the house. We didn't know how to work anything and we got in too late each night to want to bother Paula or David. So just a heads up on that if you are from America.

Quiet, clean, spacious, and friendly. Definitely a 5 star accommodation.
We were very glad to have found this place. Paola and David were wonderful hosts and very helpful, as this was our first time visiting Italy. We were greeted with a delicious fruit torte and bottle of wine upon arriving. We drove to many of the places they recommend and were not disappointed. I was given a bottle of wine from a local winery from Paola for a birthday present. How thoughtful! We highly recommend the Stonehouse for a very relaxing and quiet stay. Relaxing stay
We greatly enjoyed our time at this lovely farmhouse. Paola and David greeted up upon our arrival and provided some welcome treats in our apartment. The property was lovely. I enjoyed looking at the flowers and soaking up some quite time. (I found travelling in Italy to be a bit overwhelming with the so many tourists in the cities. You will not find this to be an issue here!) Thank you for your hospitality!

Old stone farmhouse (StoneHouse) near Lucca, Tuscany
The property itself was stunning, surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery, and included several outdoor seating/dining areas. Every morning when we got up David and Paola were out grooming the grounds, and always so friendly and cordial. We shared the 1st floor apartment with our daughter and husband and found the accommodations to be very clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. It was very quiet and peaceful. Paola and David went far and above the call of duty in helping us make the most of our visit to this beautiful area. They were outstanding hosts and gave us great recommendations! This location was a good starting point for day trips in the area. We explored Lucca, Pisa, the Garfagnana region/Barga, wine country from Chianti to Siena (and the winery at Castello Vicchiomaggio at Greve in Chianti is worthy of a visit - call ahead for a tour and lunch), the beach at Viarreggio, and of course, Florence. Even though we had a rental car, we took the train into Florence City Center, which I would recommend over driving and trying to park. A rental car with GPS to help navigate the area roads is a necessity. Within walking distance of StoneHouse is a restaurant, Paolo & Paola, which had excellent food - best pizza ever! Another restaurant I would highly recommend is Pizza Man in Florence, which was near our airport hotel on our last night. Very friendly staff and they specialize in home made pasta - delicious! HomeAway is aptly named, as every evening when we returned to StoneHouse we felt like we were going home. Thank you Paola and David!

EXACTLY as advertised! Beautiful farm house in the heart of Tuscany
Paola and David were the consummate hosts. They were there to welcome us in person along with homemade goodies (fresh fruit tart and wine and juice). Their recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing were spot on. Their responsiveness to our queries and willingness to help was the key to our wonderful time in Tuscany. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this charming place!!

Perfect in Lucca
The stonehouse was perfect and the hosts Paola and David were awesome. From a homemade dessert and a bottle of wine to greet us to recommendations on where to eat and what to visit, everything was spot on. Will definitely be at the top of my list if I make ot back to italy. Can't say enough good things about our stay in lucca.

Wonderful Stay!
Staying at the farmhouse was wonderful! The apartment was spacious, well equipped and the garden was beautiful! Our hosts Paola and David were wonderful to meet, friendly and helpful with suggestions for the area. The Apartment was close to Lucca, Tuscany wine tasting, the beaches and we traveled by train for the day from La Spezzia to Cinque Terra! Montecarlo was a charming village to visit and recommended by Paola. Stop at the little pottery shop there all was handmade and beautiful. Pisa was also close and a day trip from the house. Restaurants were recommended in the village but sadly our stay ran out and we were off to another area. The couple that we met while staying there did mention that the restaurants were very good. Thank you Paola and David for sharing a bit of your world with us ... It was an amazing experience!

A little piece of heaven
The seven days we (a family of four with teenage children) recently spent at the Stonehouse was the 'holiday' highlight of our overseas holiday. The apartment is very spacious and has everything that is listed. What makes this a particularly superb place is the combination of it being in a charming location in the Tuscan countryside, perfect for relaxing, but still within easy reach for day trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the beach. Paola and David are great hosts, helpful and attentive to details. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for holiday accommodation in countryside Tuscany. We were there in July and there were even fireflies...you will be charmed

Wunderschönes Ambiente,Wohnung sehr sauber,gut eingerichtet.Vermieter sehr gastfreundlich,hilfsbereit,sehr gute Kommunikation.Ideal um die wundervollen Städte der Toscana zubesichtigen,einschließlich Strand,was bei dem schönen Pool am Haus völlig zur Nebensache werden kann.Das Steinhaus und das Grundstück mit der Pflanzenvielfalt ist ein Traum.Hier bekommt man Erholung pur. Four of us really enjoyed two weeks at Stonehouse in early October. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, the facilities good and the owners extremely helpful and friendly. We could walk to the village for fresh breakfast brioche and a supermarket and two excellent restaurants were within a fifteen minute drive. The weather was warm enough to use the pool a couple of times and we found a glorious empty beach south of Viareggio near Torre del Lago where we had wonderful swim in the ocean. We went to Cinque Terre overnight and recommend Hotel La Spiagga in Monterosso and of course we did Pisa, Lucca and Florence! Thank you Paola and David!

Calm Hidden Place to relax
Very close to Lucca, a beautiful, typical tuscan town and top located to visite all hot spots around the toscana (firenze, pisa, volterra, san gimignano) . The owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, big and well temperated. Nights are calm and the sunset is wonderful. It's an advantage to have a small car with GPS. You also should like cats and dogs - which are very friendly and funny We always would recommend this location to our friends. Thanks Paola and David

Wunderschönes Ambiente
Wir haben die eine Woche (leider nur) in diesem sehr gepflegtem Haus mit Grundstück sehr genossen. Das ganze lebt auch von der Herzlichkeit der beiden Vermieter David + Paola. Die unmittelbare Nähe zu Lucca macht das ganze noch perfekt.

This house was the property of Agostino, the old farmer who lived here a long time ago, with his animals and his vegetable garden. We renovated this building to preserve the character of a farm house.
Our guests say: 'home away from home'. This is our goal.

When we were looking for a farm house, we saw this property and we thought: 'this is it!'.
We saw the mountains around, the churches on the hills, and the sunflowers. The colours around helped us to decide.
