Perfect place to stay for our quick visit up to see our grandson race at 10 Pines Ranch. Clean and cozy, set back in the woods with a nice view out back. Vince is very good with communication. Thank you and we hope to stay again next year!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Cabin is beautiful. All amenities were provided as listed. Anything lacking was attributed to lack of planning and poor preparation on our part. i would recommend this rental to anyone just looking to get away at any time. I can only imagine the winter scene.

This is a convenient and comfortable cabin in the woods.. our group are sportsman, so trail riding and trout opener were on our agenda.. excellent accommodations.. we will certainly be going back.

Family Snowmobile Trip

Brought up 2 family's with kids for a 4 day snowmobile trip This place is perfect for groups with kids.The roads around the cabin are so easy for little kids to ride their own sleds along with the adults.Great location and easy to get to the trails.

Great home base for skiing

Our family of 13 stayed at this lovely cabin for a weekend of skiing. It worked out perfectly for us.

Nice cabin

Nice cabin, so many beds, basement was perfect for our teenagers! Loved that we could bring our dogs. We brought bikes thinking we could ride to clubhouse and beach, but you’ll definitely want to drive. It’s about a mile and half one way. Would definitely stay again!

Very Quiet and Peacful Stay

Plenty of space for the family and dogs. Home was well stocked. Kids loved the game room in the basement, and the pool at the clubhouse. Heed the owners warning and print out some maps of the neighborhood, both ATT and VZW service was spotty while driving around.

Mid-week Summer Stay

Owner was easy to communicate with and responsive. We had a group of 6 and the space was adequate. Beds are small and I recommend bringing your own pillows. Everything was in working order and well maintained. We did not want for anything. This is a very nice cabin with a great lot. The deck has a beautiful and private view of the woods. We enjoyed our stay.

Spring break

We stayed here for two nights for a short spring staycation. The house had more than enough room for our family and had games and books for the kids. We really enjoyed the pool area at the clubhouse too. The house was very clean and well maintained and communication was great.

Home away from home

I normally dont write reviews, and was hesitant to write one on this vacation home. However, my hesitancy was due to wanting to keep this awesome house a secret in case we want to book again! We went hiking, sledding, had bonfires outside roasting smores, and then warmed up inside by the fire without having to leave the property. Kids had ping ping, pool table, video games and board games to keep them busy when the adults wanted some down time. A great place to get away and remind us of family, friends and the simple life. Also had access to the clubhouse with pool and hot tub, but think we could have just stayed at the house. Seems like the owner truly cares about this rental and the people who stay in his home. Hope to go back soon!

Family snowmobile trip

Brought a group of families up for a long weekend of Snowmobiling. The house and property was great for entertaining kids There is a hill to sled down out back. The games in the basement were wonderful. Cabin is only a few minutes away from the clubhouse to go swimming. The loft area works out great for all the kids to sleep at as well. We all loved our stay

Vince built this cabin with a friend approximately 20 years ago. He used it originally as a snowmobiling cabin when he was single. Vince married Liz 10 years ago and now enjoys this cabin with his wife and children. The kids love coming here for long weekends because there is so much to do in the area!! The Lakes of the North pool is the kids' favorite activity, especially since the new clubhouse opened this past year! In the summer we love to visit all of the nearby lakes!! In the winter we all love to ski at Boyne Mountain Resort!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Lakes of the North is a 5 mile long wooded community with large lots. You can get away Up North into the woods, yet have all modern amenities nearby. Our chalet has two bedrooms on the main floor, a bedroom in the walkout level, and a large loft with 4 full-sized beds!
We pride ourselves on our cleanliness!! We use this chalet ourselves and have very high standards.

You will not run out of things to do! We love how the the chalet is only 15 minutes away from Gaylord and 30 minutes away from Boyne and Charlevoix, approx 45 minutes away from Traverse City, 90 minutes away from Mackinac Island. Otsego Lake State Park is only about 20 minutes away.
