Situé sur les contreforts de la magnifique montagne Binevenagh (une "zone de beauté naturelle exceptionnelle" et le lieu de tournage de Game of Thrones), ce cottage irlandais traditionnel du XVIIIe siècle a été restauré avec soin et confort moderne. vie courante. Seulement 4 miles d'une plage de sable doré primé sur l'océan Atlantique. Un court trajet en voiture de parcours de golf de classe mondiale, la Chaussée des Géants et à quelques pas de la gare de Bellarena

Le chalet de Cissy est un gîte rural du XVIIIe siècle. Il a été restauré pour garder le caractère et des pièces originales peuvent être vues partout. Avec le chauffage au gaz et l'eau chaude instantanée, vous pouvez vivre la paix et la tranquillité avec toutes les commodités modernes.

Autres choses à noter

En raison de la nature du chalet, les encadrements des portes sont très bas et il faut être prudent en entrant et en sortant pour éviter de se cogner la tête.

Le chalet de Cissy est l'un des trois bâtiments de ferme convertis et partage l'espace extérieur avec la grange.

We had a lovely stay in Cissy’s Cottage and it was as described. We appreciated the effort gone in to keeping the cottage as close to its original state but with modern conveniences. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was clean. We didn’t do much cooking in the cottage as there are so many eateries within around 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed the log burner especially and there were so many places to discover close by. We’ll have to return for some more adventures.

Thatched bliss

This was our most comfortable stay yet. The coziest, too! The location was convenient to all the regional sites/sights. We really enjoyed our two nights here.

Great location

We appreciated all the little things provided and Gillian was so helpful in explaining heating etc. We so enjoyed time on this part of the coast , Downhill, Benone, portstewart etc.

Lovely spot

Property was tastefully decorated, and lovely to see a thatch up the north coast that you can stay in. Surrounding landscape really is pretty, Binevenagh looks like a geat mountain for hikes. Bed was comfy!

Lovely location and great thing being pet friendly. Gillian super host and even left a welcome basket with lovely goodies. A big bonus too was the weather, but Cissies cottage was a wee dream. Hopefully return next year. Really enjoyed our time and Bella loved it.

Gillian was a perfect host and the accomodation was wonderful. Everything was really considered and we felt spoilt the moment we stepped inside. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking to unwind and explore. Amazing beaches in all directions and tonnes to keep you busy. I wish we stayed longer!

This cottage was amazing. Everything was perfect and was very homely and gave a real feel of how it would have been to live in a traditional thatched roofed cottage but with some 21st century comforts. The owner was great with communication as well. Was delighted with the delicious and thoughtful treats left on arrival too.

Quaint period thatched cottage. Clean with all the mod cons. En suite shower and toilet. Outside seating area with views of Binevenagh. 10 min walk to Bellarena station where trains run regularly. Would definitely like a return visit.

Cissys Cottage

Lovely , little cottage , but plenty of space for us and ozzy our little jack russell . Well equiped , with all we needed for a quiet break away. Big comfy bed with shower and toilet off the room. Wifi was good heating was fabulous. Warmed up very quick . Would recommend . Very clean and tidy. Thanks Gillian.

Amazing

Thank you too Gillian a wonderful host. The property is so cosy and comfortable. Lovely character and equipped with everything you need. We arrived in snow and woke to a lot more, so the views were amazing. The log burner kept us cosy. And one of the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfortable. We hope to come back soon. Thank you

Quaint little cottage cosy & warm 🥰 Gillian the host was extremely welcoming & had the cottage heated & cosy upon our arrival ☺️ It was a bit further out than we first thought so definitely need a car for sightseeing but overall a lovely place to stay for a short stay 😊

This place is adorable. Just the place for a relaxing refreshing break. Quiet and peaceful. The cottage is finished beautifully, is spotless and Gillian is a very accommodating host. Highly recommended. Chloe, the jack russell, loved it too!

Cissy's cottage has been in our family for as long as I can remember. Myself, my husband and two boys (Ross & Harry) live up the lane from Cissy's , The Garden and The Barn and we do all the work and maintenance ourselves. We are at hand all the time to help with anything needed.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I travelled the world but cannot think of anywhere I'd rather live than here. We are blessed to be surrounded by green fields with grazing cows and and I never grow tired of the mountain views. We are only 4 miles from golden sandy beaches where I love to walk and the salmon fishing in the local river is great from July to October according to my husband. We are also lucky to be within a short drive of world renowned golf courses.

Cissy's cottage is so unique to this part of Ireland as so many thatched cottages have been destroyed here in the north.
