Située à la périphérie d'Abergynolwyn, un village situé à l'ombre de Cader Idris et située entre la station balnéaire prisée de Tywyn et le bourg de Dolgellau, cette belle grange transformée indépendante offre un hébergement spacieux, idéal pour les familles souhaitant profiter de la paix et de la tranquillité. . Tywyn est entourée par les collines de Tarren et abrite le chemin de fer à vapeur à voie étroite de Talyllyn, long de 11 km, qui relie Tywyn Wharf à Nant Gwernol. Les lacs à proximité de Tal-y-Llyn et le train à vapeur de Talyllyn sont toujours appréciés des visiteurs, tout comme les plages de sable fin de la baie de Cardigan. Parmi les attractions touristiques figurent le Centre des technologies alternatives, le labyrinthe du roi Arthur, l’Animalarium, la forêt de Coed-y-Brenin et le village italien de Portmeirion. Very well designed barn conversion with lots of space and light, especially in its lovely ground flo

Very well designed barn conversion with lots of space and light, especially in its lovely ground floor - very welcome for days when it was raining and the kids played inside. Well appointed kitchen, great water pressure in the bathrooms with lots of hot water, wifi strength was good. We travelled with a 4yo and 1yo, there is a useful dog gate at the bottom of the stairs which also prevents adventurous toddlers from climbing up (although note there is no gate at the top). Generally the property was squeaky clean. Highlight for us was the location- if you sit in the right place you can see the Talyllyn Railway steam trains passing the garden a few times every day, and five minutes’ walk up the track next door takes you to a level crossing to see them close up. The property is within twenty minutes’ drive of Corris craft centre with its shops and playground, and also Tywyn or Aberdyfi which have nice beaches, supermarket etc. We didn’t do much in Abergynolwyn due to lockdown closures but there is a nice looking pub and playground two minutes’ walk from the property. No real negatives - we could have done with blackout blinds in the kids’ room, and the mattress in the master bedroom is weirdly slightly smaller than the bed frame so you have to watch your legs getting out of bed, but nothing that really affected our experience. Fantastic barn. Home from home. So comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s about 50-60 mins from main attractions but the drive is so beautiful it didn’t bother us. We loved it and will go back

Beautiful holiday house, immaculately clean and tidy with everything one would need for a very comfortable holiday. Great attention to detail, with the small things making such a difference: welcome wine, chocolates and biscuits; big fluffy towels; unlimited hot water and central heating; large enclosed dog friendly garden; every conceivable kitchen gadget, with plenty of pots and pans etc; very comfortable beds. By far the best holiday rental I have stayed in. The village makes a great base for exploring Snowdon and surrounding areas, and there are fantastic walks right on the doorstep. There is a bonus of having a great pub within walking distance.

Fabulous cottage with amazing views.

Fabulous cottage with amazing views. There is everything that we needed which made our stay very comfortable. The downstairs wetroom was ideal for my mother-in-law who has difficulty getting in and out of a standard shower. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Local pub The Railway Inn does very good food. Just a shame there is no local shop in the village for milk and other sundries that might be needed.

The cottage was absolutely lovely with beautiful surroundings. Fantastic walks and local people are very friendly. Local pub was reasonably priced serving lovely food. Cannot Fault it, I would definitely recommend it to everyone and come back again!
