Située dans un cadre paisible à 6 km de la plage et offrant une vue imprenable, cette ravissante chaumière était autrefois l’atelier d’un artiste local bien connu. Entouré de pelouses et d'eau privée qui mène à Hickling Broad, il est confortablement meublé et bien équipé. La plage de Waxham, profonde et douce, est à seulement 4 miles. Wroxham 10 miles. Bonne pêche, planche à voile et location de bateaux à proximité. Boutiques, pub et restaurant à Hickling (1 mile).

Il y a deux marches à l'entrée. Il y a un lac à proximité.

If you like peace and quit and you like watching wild life then this could be the perfect place for you. We were lucky enough to see the otter on grass beside the boat house and the kingfisher 2 or 3 times and plenty of other birds.

It's peaceful, with great sunsets and wildlife on the doorstep.

It's peaceful, with great sunsets and wildlife on the doorstep. It's like having your own private wildlife hide with tea and drinks on hand. The main bedroom has a triple aspect overlooking the Broad. We slept with the blinds open, looking at the stars, and in the morning, the mallards landed in front of the boat house. It's well-equipped and extremely comfortable. We will return.

Could do with a bit of an update in side, but that said with the weather we had on our week we spent hardly anytime inside. fly screens would be good as on hot days it gets very got inside.

Unwind

Excellent place to relax and unwind away from the hectic life working in a city. Second time here and we love it and will be returning soon!!

The studio is such a beautiful cottage in lovely peaceful surroundings. The view and the wildlife was amazing. It was very clean and comfortable. I rated it 7 for value for money because electricity was not included, I had to use my own WiFi which cost me extra, and it would have been lovely to have been able to borrow a boat or canoe from the the cottage. Good location for wildlife and access to the water.Good village community. An interesting place but getting a bit tired now. Starter pack for log burner ?.... A wet and cold autumn holiday made the studio feel cold so used alot of electricity adding extra costs

Beautiful Hickling

The cottage and setting were delightful with a good amount of space. But, we had difficulty getting the place warm to begin with (it was November) and the electric bill added to our costs. as heating was via night storage (not very efficient) and electric oil heaters -very expensive. In winter windows could have done with curtains rather than blinds to keep out cold and draughts. Lounge windows not double glazed - hence very cold as all windows were very large - great for watching wildlife of which we saw a good deal; swans, ducks, marsh harrier, Chinese water deer and some small birds. We would go back but in a warmer month!

Hard to say how wonderful the Studio is or it may get so popular we’ll find we can’t book again!

Hard to say how wonderful the Studio is or it may get so popular we’ll find we can’t book again! The peace of this location is very special with abundance of wild life on the doorstep. Watching the local sailing club weekly races, sitting on the terrace, or later in the year murmerations of birds overhead and then settling in the reeds have enhanced our visits over the years. Proximity to the nearby wildlife centre with electric boat trips on Hickling Broad, and the wonderful Roos’s wildlife boat trips on Horsey, add to the experience if you can stir from the Studio!
