Situé dans un bel endroit boisé surplombant l'étang de canards de la ferme, cet établissement est un lieu de carte postale. Le chalet confortablement meublé est sur un seul niveau, avec un jardin avec pelouse et un paddock pour les repas en plein air. Il y a de nombreuses promenades à faire depuis la porte et une multitude de sites historiques à portée de main: les abbayes de Rievaulx et de Byland, le Nunnington Hall and Gardens et le parc Duncombe. Les charmantes villes de marché de Helmsley et Thirsk proposent des magasins, des pubs, des restaurants et des salons de thé tous les jours. Les stations balnéaires pittoresques de Whitby et Scarborough sur la cÎte est sont facilement accessibles en voiture. Pour les amateurs de vapeur, une balade sur la ligne de préservation des North York Moors est un must.

We absoloutely loved our time at the cottage.

We absoloutely loved our time at the cottage. Extremely peaceful, well kept and so much better than expected. The area is stunning too. Really comfortable bed. The cottage is warm and well managed. We hadn't realised that there wasn't any wifi on the property and its worth noting that there is also very limited phone signal (none for me and my partner could pick up some in the farm yard) Overall better than expected. We won't hesitate to go back and explore further

The cottage is lovely. It's very quiet, being set in a rural area, but had almost everything we needed, in the way of equipment. The only thing we found the kitchen lacked was a sieve for straining rice. There are even storage containers for leftovers, or picnics. The lounge was large and comfortable, with a large screen TV, but there is no phone signal or WiFi within the property. This was not a problem for us, as we were happy to take a break from the rest of the world! The bedroom was also quite spacious, with plenty of storage space and the bed was really comfortable, with a foam topped mattress. No problem with noisy bedsprings as some people have previously mentioned. The outside of the property is pretty and well maintained and is set within the farm. A few animals can be seen from the windows. The owner and their family, are very friendly and helpful too.
