Charmante maison de ville traditionnelle rénovée 4 chambres "Aunty Mary's", familles, groupes

La propriété a été récemment rénovée exclusivement pour une location de vacances, il y a un salon assez petit mais confortable, une salle à manger arrière pouvant accueillir huit autour de la table et de la cuisine, 4 chambres avec 2 lits de voyage supplémentaires. Étant situé à la périphérie de la ville, en retrait de la route principale, un magasin Morrisons est situé en face, à gauche de celui-ci est la galerie d'art qui contient également un cinéma. Château de Caernarfon, Welsh highland Railway, centre-ville à quelques pas. Chaînes de montagnes Snowdon ou Carneddau à proximité, centre de loisirs de plein air Plas Menai et plus encore. Les lits se composent de 2 lits king-size en fer forgé dans la plus grande chambre avant, de lits superposés dans la chambre arrière au premier étage et d'un lit double dans la chambre arrière au dernier étage. tout le linge est de qualité hôtelière et beaucoup commentent le confort des lits, ce que nous pensons est très important lorsque vous allez et restez quelque part. il y a un téléviseur intelligent dans le salon et qui peut être utilisé pour netflix, etc. sur le téléviseur, bien que vous deviez utiliser votre propre abonnement pour ceux-ci. la location est pour toute la maison mais une fois que les rafales choisissent leurs lits, nous vous demandons de les garder car il y aurait des frais (15 £ par nuit du séjour) pour tous les lits supplémentaires utilisés, comme vous pouvez le comprendre, tous les lits supplémentaires utilisés signifierait un nettoyage complet de l'aspirateur et de la buanderie pour les chambres car la maison est maintenue propre et immaculée possible pour les prochains clients. Pas de fêtes ou d'animaux désolés.

Des barres de sécurité sont installées sur les fenêtres inférieures des chambres arrière et des verrous de sécurité sur toutes les fenêtres à l'étage pour les empêcher de s'ouvrir complètement, une clé est en place sur le côté droit de chaque fenêtre derrière le rideau hors de portée des jeunes enfants.

Great hosts who you can tell truly care about the property. They were easy to communicate with and understanding of our chaotic travel during our time in Wales.Our trip was a whirlwind of chaos. And upon arriving at 1am, we were relieved the check in was so easy.Plenty of beds, and room to spread out. Key for a family who’s been crammed together in small hotel rooms previously!Easy walk to everything in town. Only issue was the toilet being tricky to flush & the shower not being tall enuf for my son. But he is 6’2”. Would stay here, or in any property by these hosts, again

The house is in the perfect location close to all amenities and central to the places we set out to visit and is kept beautifully. The hosts were a pleasure to communicate with. One of our party left an item at the house and Rod posted it back to us within a couple of days without charge.... now that's going the extra mile.

What a wonderful location for walking to the castle and town. Many restaurants available and close. Grocery walking distance also. The four bedroom unit was very spacious. Excellent value for the rental price

Lovely stay

We had a lovely time, everything we needed was there and we enjoyed a few nice days as a family. The lounge was a little small for film nights with teenage kids but frequent rotation of the use of the bean bag did the job 😊. We would be happy to come back!

We loved the how traditional the unit is. Very cozy. While small ,it met all our need except there was no laundry in the unit. The laundry is across the street at Morrisons. A big was the host communicated with us very promptly and cleary. Thank Rod. Cheers.

Nice stay in Caernarfon

Aunty Mary's is an older property that is well located & full of charm. We enjoyed our stay, though the fridge is very small for the number of beds (4 of the 6 used in our case), the stairs are steep (we suspect that's typical of local terrace houses of the era) & the shower is a hand-held device that is awkward to use. If you can live with the shower, we'd recommend it. The hosts were very welcoming & have agreed to mail back an item of jewelry we unfortunately left behind, which was very kind of them.

A comfortable and convenient base to explore the area

Overall we had a really positive experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the town centre and supermarkets.The area is generally quiet, aside from traffic noise during the morning commute, but this was only an issue in the front bedrooms. Check-in was smooth, there was good communication with the host beforehand and thoughtful touches like a welcome gift plus milk and biscuits were much appreciated.The property was clean, there was a good supply of towels and basic toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The kitchen had store cupboard basics and was well-equipped for preparing meals. There were information leaflets for local attractions to help plan days out. The beds were very comfy and there was adequate drawer storage.However, there were a few drawbacks. The kitchen had an awkward layout and we had trouble reaching one of the cupboards. The WiFi was intermittent and the overall signal strength poor. Using the hand-held shower was an ordeal, being very tricky to manage especially when hairwashing, and we also had problems flushing the toilet which also took a long time to refill. There were hooks on the bedroom doors but no wardrobes, so nowhere to hang up clothes. The bunk bed room also lacked a bedside lamp which would have been useful.Despite these few issues, the positives far outway the negatives and we'd both recommend the place and return for another visit. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Merci à Rod et Erica qui nous ont accueilli chaleureusement. La maison est idéalement placée, à 5 minutes du centre ville touristique et en face d'un magasin d'alimentation. Les randonnées sont nombreuses dans la région.

A really interesting house close to the centre of Caernarfon. Convenient for the castle , restaurants and pubs. We really loved the story of Aunty Mary and the extremely comfortable beds.Really great communication and lots of little welcome extras like tea, coffee milk and biscuits. We loved the dragon fridge magnet which is proudly on display on our fridge at home as a reminder of a really fabulous weekend. Thanks so much Rod and Erica x

Lovely and convenient

Friendly, helpful and communicative hosts, Erica and Rod also left such a warm welcome package! A lot of thought went into the decorating of the house which gives it a very quaint and authentic feel. Everything was great but the beds are an absolute dream!

Excellent hosts, Comfortable place to stay

Pleasant place to stay with a real feel for the Edwardian era. The beds were so comfy, it was hard to get up. Excellent location for exploring the town, visiting the superb Caernarfon Castle, Zipworld and The Great Orme. Excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful before the visit and left a much appreciated welcome pack.

Great Location

It's very conveniently located. Parking is available on the road outside. Walking distance from the castle and great location for Snowdonia attractions and everything else. Highly recommended. Very clean and well decorated.

WHAT A GEM

Everything about the house was fantastic, from cleanliness, comfort & location of the property through to the prompt replies to any query we had. The tea/coffee and fresh milk with the biccies on arrival were especially appreciated. Oh how I would love to own this house, so olde world in keeping with its age , keeping so many of the original features but yet updating it enough for 2021. Having the castle a mere 10 minute stroll was wonderful, the views of the Menai Strait at sunset from the bedroom windows was breathtaking. Although we had pre-booked a delivery from Asda, Morrisons was straight across the road had we forgotten anything. An absolutely wonderful, comfortable stay

Such a gorgeous property and amazing for the money! Lovely location just across from the harbour and Morrison’s! The hosts were friendly and communicative and were eager to help if needed. We were greeted with a bottle of milk and some biscuits as-well as a few personal touches which made the whole experience even nicer! Would 100% recommend.

August Bank Holiday to North Wales

The property was exceptionally clean, which is reassuring in these unusual times. The facilities offered were ideal, even the adjacent take away was handy for the evening we arrived. It is centrally located, from where we could easily travel to our chosen destinations. We would certainly use HomeAway again, should such an arrangement suit any future requirements.

Beautiful house in a perfect situation.

Welcomed with tea,coffee and biscuits. 4 beautiful rooms . Perfect for families. Our children ranged from 5 to 20 and there was something to do for everybody. Highly recommended .

the house number had to be obtained separately, that was not our place to send it it was VRBO as they send the details yet knocked us down a star for that ? seems a bit harsh

This property has been in the family for five generations but unfortunately was empty for 12 years. We renovated it ourselves during 2017 doing all the work, apart from the plumbing ourselves and while doing so, trying to keep the original charm of the house with a traditional look but with a few mod con's including wi-fi, smart tv etc. A number of the old portraits in the house are of family members.

The benefits of the property is it's location in regards to a multitude of tourist attractions, Zip world, welsh mountain railway, the castle where the investiture of Prince Charles was performed. within 5 minutes of Morrison's / Asda for your needs, 5 mins to the castle and of course Snowdon which is approximately 10-15 minutes by car. Many good cafe's restaurants and public houses close by including the very popular Black Boy in. That is just a few of the attractions in the area or within half an hour, there are just too many to mention, lots of brochures for local attractions in the the house.
