Quietly situated Villa with panoramic views, and private pool, free wifi

The issue really was around smoking - it’s a no smoking property, but we did allow (reluctantly) on the terrace. Having said that we were not able to smell any smoke inside We are concerned due to the fire risk having had no rain to speak of since last September

We are very sad that these guests do not appear to have had the same experience as the majority of our guests - as seen in previous reviews. Prior to arrival they were very aware that we live on the property, and they stated this was not an issue. Particularly as we are well aware of the need for privacy, so we normally leave the villa by 1000 (and usually closer to 0800) and do not return until after 2300. We were actually away from the Villa for two nights while these guests were on holiday. We run a meet and greet service to pass on tips and tricks for getting the most out of the property - they did not like this but had they engaged they would have had a better understanding of the villa The air conditioners are very efficient and so we recommend that they only need to be put on 15 mins prior to bed to cool the rooms - we do not state that they cannot be used for longer. We also advise to keep the blinds drawn on one side of the Villa to keep it cool, as the sun is very strong on that side. Again this advice was not taken. The pool lights were on from the 2nd night, and the other light which they refer to is actually 8 lights, and they are are around the outside of the villa and so not required when sitting inside or no the Naya. I am sure in today's day of global warming they would not leave their outside lights on unnecessarily. The property is advertised with a double bed so if they feel this is to small they need to look at properties advertising King or Queen size The comments about our attitude are also odd as John was invited into the Villa for a drink! We responded quickly to all of their requests. We explained that we invest the rental money to improve the property for our guests - and they appeared to be quite interested. This years income we plan to use to build a summer kitchen so that our guests can BBQ safely in this hot, very dry weather. This family chose to leave a day early. They have received their full deposit back. Up until the night before they left they had appeared to be having a good holiday and had not voiced any issues to us which we had not responded to.
