This is a rustic property offering a week away from the digital pull! Authentically decorated and homely in feel. Great BBQ and internal fireplace - lots of marshmallow toasting. We had a 4 night stay and it came with 2 nights worth of firewood. The stay was awesome and the resident alpaca was a happy camper. Local and native roos visited us too! Take the family and enjoy.

Brontë Manor was all that we wanted, generous rooms, trees and birds and kangaroos to watch and relax with. The grounds were great for walks and ‘forest breathing’. The breakfast provisions were delicious and eagerly enjoyed and the property had all that we needed. It was the perfect getaway for our group

It was lovely little house in middle of nowhere. Loved the quiet nature around us. We would have preferred to be closer to town so could go to restaurants but in the end we enjoyed just staying in and cook there. Upstairs bedroom was bit too scary for our age ladies. Luckily enough beds downstairs. Hosts have been wonderful to contact with.

Brontë Manor is a delightful place to stay. Loved reading about how it was built. Daily walks to visit the alpacas and watching sunset were highlights

Peaceful, quaint and quirky

Cottage was cozy, kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surrounds around the cottage great not having others close by.

Location is lovely. The property is incredibly neglected and falling apart. The bread provided was stale and mouldy by the second day. The provisions were minimal. Just some bacon, eggs and tomato plus an open jug of milk. Kitchen appliances were dirty. Dead flies and dust on window sills. When I wiped a little water that dripped on the floor the paper towel was filthy. Dog run was overgrown with weeds and out in the open so useless if hot or raining. Bathtub wobbled as you turned in the shower , so I feared it tipping over. I wrote to them about a few of these things , very moderately , and not even tge courtesy of a response. Overall a ripoff for the ’s. Much nicer places to stay in Clare.

Perfect location for a peaceful break

The location just out of Clare and on a beautiful tree covered property was just perfect for a weekend escape. We lived walking around the property and meeting the Alpacas who were very happy to be given snacks of lettuce. Sitting out on the back terrace in the morning with coffee enjoying the birds was a lovely way to start the day.

Wonderful escape full of history and character.

Myself and the family all loved our stay at Bronte manor. We live in the suburbs so getting out into nature is always exciting for the kids and relaxing for us adults. The property is exactly how it looks in the photos and has a wonderful ambience. We had everything we needed and all the little things had been thought of. Being so secluded but also a short drive to the village really was perfect.

A getaway for family and friends to celebrate a 60th

Housing nine adults, the property suited our needs very well. The hosts were amazing in an emergency (misplaced dog and temporary loss of power) and quickly assisted to put things right. The manor itself is quirky and comfortable, having everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Thanks Tanika and Beverley!!

Loved the old English feel to the property and appreciated the breakfast supplies cooked on the new BBQ. The road could be levelled out as we didn’t all drive 4 wheel drives. The shower over the bath was a bit dangerous so liked the second shower option, but had to go through a bedroom to get there. Really loved the tranquil setting and the fire pit. Peaceful quiet location.

Don’t worry about the road. The destination is worth it. Quiet, peaceful , well equiped. Patrick and Tamika responded promptly with any issues that arose. The walk to see the alpacas was a daily ritual. Close enough to Clare township and wineries.

Enjoyed a short stay

Overall I enjoyed my stay. It’s a great location to take dogs, lots of birds and bushland, and the manor is full of character. It was well supplied with breakfast ingredients. There is still room for improvement- a good clean, and some general maintenance. I had the loft bedroom and hit my head on the ceiling beams a couple of times because the bed is so high while the ceiling is so low. I would have liked to have some bottled water provided or a warning to bring our own (had to drive back to town on arrival). But overall it was still a great experience.

Family holiday

My family really enjoyed our long weekend at Brontë Manor. It was an ‘experience’ Christmas gift for my family - 2 daughters, sons in law and grandchildren. Lovely walks on the property, visits to the alpacas, roasting marshmallows on the fires, inside and out, preparing meals together, and the chance to sit around and read and play some games together. The house is definitely quirky, and the warmth from the fires was needed, despite the reverse cycle air conditioner, but the beds are warm and comfortable, the kitchen is very well provisioned, the breakfast offering was very generous and it is lovely to be surrounded by trees and birds in quiet privacy. The attic room, offers very little soundproofing, so earplugs might be useful. It was also lovely to have our dog come along- she had a wonderful time accompanying us on our walks and hanging out with all her pack. Definitely recommend Brontë Manor for a rejuvenating break.
