Our perfect holiday house. The house is just beautiful- very comfortable well equipped and so much space. We loved the peace and quiet and watching the flocks of Carnaby cockatoos and the little splendid wrens Doreen was so welcoming and helpful. We are so glad that we found this gem.

The retreat is a complete house with wooden floor boards and full kitchen and laundry.It is set on a farm at the back of a small avocado orchard and fresh eggs and avocados were provided.The host also provides almost everything you can imagine including cereal in the pantry.Due to the location you wake up with lowing cow noises and birds chirping in the morning and the wrens trying to get in the windows :-)

A wonderful place to stay

Willyung was everything we had hoped and Doreen was a wonderfully hospitable host. The house was spotless and ideal for us. The farm was lovely to walk around or simply to sit and admire. The property is convenient to Albany city and all its attractions.

Relaxing Stay

The house and setting is beautiful. The owners have thought of absolutely everything from a well stocked pantry to toiletries and games for the children. Our dogs were very welcome and we enjoyed walking in the avocado orchard. We will definitely be back.

Perfect family holiday

Wonderful accommodation for a family holiday. The well equipped games room was a highlight for the kids, and for the grown ups, the views were spectacular sitting out the back with a drink in the evenings. Plenty of warm bedding, and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Doreen communicated really well with us and ensured we were having a great time. 10/10 - thank you!

Incredible house on picturesque farmland property

Fantastic farm stay

Perfect home away home!

Mt Willyung Retreat definitely live up to its name, it is indeed family friendly and a perfect home away from home for the 9 of us. The house was spacious, clean, tidy and it has all the amenities, toys, games and entertainment you need for your holiday. Doreen was an excellent host who welcomed us with open arms and a big smile on her face and we appreciate all her suggestions and recommendations of places to go and visit. We definitely be coming back and we'll be recommending this accommodation to our friends and family.

Perfect home away from home

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. This house has everything you could possibly need. A fully stocked pantry, a wonderful games room for kids and adults. Family Holiday

We had a fabulous family holiday, with both the property and the host (Doreen) exceeding our expectations. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and the property had plenty of space for us all and Doreen provided everything we could possibly need, including a regular supply of fresh eggs. Beutiful House in a great location

We enjoyed our stayed as a family.The place is beautiful in a nice quite location.The house was very clean and tidy. The weather was a bit cold but plenty of electric blankets were provided. The mulitple kids toys & play equipment were marvellous. The gardens are beautiful. The fire pit was well enjoyed, along with the marshmellows. The stocked pantry & the eggs were great.

A lovely bucolic stay

We loved staying at Mt Willyung for a couple of weeks over summer. Doreen was welcoming and helpful, even providing us with lovely farm-fresh eggs from her hens. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Lots of lovely bed linens, extra blankets, and towels etc. A very spacious, well designed kitchen with all the tools needed. Great to stay with the children, plenty of space for them to play and relax. So glad we stayed, and hope to stay again in the future!

Lovely family home

Beautiful home in a peaceful rural setting, but not too far out of town. Well equipped with everything, including fresh eggs and lemons! Lots of space inside and out. We had a fabulous time together with our adult children, catching up and just being together. Doreen was very helpful and made sure we didn't get lost! Thanks for everything!

Perfect for extended families

Our family of grandparents, parents and children stayed at Doreen’s house and found it to be extremely clean and well stocked with all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable and warm on even the chilliest of nights. The farm fresh eggs were delicious and we weren’t expecting such a well-stocked pantry. The views of the farm are gorgeous to wake up to, just like a painting. We highly recommend a stay at your beautiful house, so close to Albany yet still secluded. Thanks so much Doreen!

5 star pet friendly accomodation

Mt Willyung is a great place to stay. The accommodation is very well equipped and to a high standard. The owners have thought of everything to make a stay as comfortable as possible, with comfortable beds, big fluffy towels, high quality products and a kitchen to die for. The location is also very good. The sense of peace and tranquillity away from city life is great ( you get used to the noise of the local bulls bellowing very quickly), yet is only 10 minutes to Albany CBD or 30 minutes to Mount Barker. Best of all, it's very dog friendly with lots of open, but safe spaces for a dog (or children) to run around. We've stayed a couple of times and have never been disappointed. Can't wait to go back.

One of the best holiday accommodations we stayed!

This is one of the best holiday accommodations we had stayed. The place and owner were awesome! We stayed for three nights at Mt. Willyung Retreat with my family last 4 to 7 April 2024. The place and owner exceeded our expectations. Doreen was a very hospitable host who made sure that her guests have a wonderful stay. She was so nice, friendly, accommodating and thorough with the orientation and instructions during the check in. So we know exactly what to do during our stay. The house was tidy, clean and comfortable with a lot of space for the entire family of 9. It was fully equipped with a lot of amenities. There's also plenty of sport activities that the kids enjoyed. But what we liked most, was the peaceful serenity of the country side, the amazing sunrise and sunset with scenic view of the farm, lake and surrounding hills with cattles grazing on them , and awesome star gazing at night, which we're not able to do often in the city. Finally, the location, which was only 10 minutes to Albany CBD, was very central to the tourists attractions we had visited. Thank you so much again Doreen. For sure, we'll be back!
