it was a very quaint well supplied, clean house out in the woods down dirt roads. It was a perfect getaway house for a group.

The firepit and direct heat smoker were great! We enjoyed the hot tub and fooseball table. Plenty of room for everyone to relax. The location was prefect for enjoying elk country but unfortunately we didn't really see any elk.

A great place out in the woods

We had the entire family in two cabins close by … it was an excellent place to gather after the memorial services … clean, neat, quiet, handicap accessible with ground floor bedrooms … nice washer & dryer … lovely, open kitchen with lots of seating and ample kitchen cooking utensils… thanks!

Property was beautiful. We enjoyed Pickleball a cozy fire outside & the hot tub was amazing. We had everything we needed, and it was a perfect location to hear the elk bugling in the distance. Loved it

Gorgeous well stocked home

The home is in impeccable condition, very clean and in an amazing location for viewing elk and other wildlife. We hope to book this home again next year .

Lazy days at Lazy Bear

We have enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bear. Everything about the facility is fantastic. The elk were in view at all the viewing places. This is a very well thought out property. It was an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful cabin in a quiet woodsy location. Has all the amenities you would want and lots of space inside and out. Everyone loved this place near the elk.

Nice place to stay

House was great including location there was on issue. The split unit in master bedroom sounded like a diesel truck running all night long. All in all beautiful place.

2024 Labor Day Trip

The property is beautiful! The pictures and descriptions were very accurate and we had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay with our kids and grandkids. A new pavillion was just added and it is also beautiful. The location is private nestled in a wooded area. Great experience.

We were extremely fortunate on this trip. This was my second trip to the area and I wanted my friends to see elk. We saw at least 30 elk on this trip in 3 different locations. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic long weekend

Lazy Bear Lodge was everything we were looking for and more! It was absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy! It is in a great location in Benezette. The lodge is off the main trail so you still get to enjoy peace and privacy, but still be close to the visitor center and viewing areas. It was also nice to have the hot tub, grill, and fire pit available. We. Loved every minute of being there and can’t wait to go back!

This is a great place to stay. The place is awesome. So many little touches that just made it perfect. The fire pit was perfect. We built a fire every night. The pavilion is wonderful. This is a place that actually looks better than the pics. It is close to anything you would want to do in Benezette. Very quiet and private. Maybe just buy a new toaster!. People will love it there.

Beautiful Home

We are a group of 5 women who have been friends for 50+ years. Go away together annually. Didn’t have much time this year so we stayed close. Beautiful home, awesome location, quiet, and clean. Had an amazing time!!! Unfortunately, didn’t see an Elk, but heard lots bugling.

Elk County Family Experience

Our family of 4 grandsons, sisters, brother, son, friend, & grandparents enjoyed the trip tremendously. For some it was their first time to see elk, others our 6th &, 7th trip. This was by far our favorite lodge. Sleeping accommodations were good, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The outside fire pit and pavilion was close-by and very comfortable. Secluded property was easy to access. Lots of great memories, thanks for sharing your property with our family. Hope for a return visit in the future.

MEMORIES MADE

Had a wonderful stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge. We had a full house with 16 people from ages 14 - 80. House was fully equipped and at a great location for Elk viewing. We will definitely return to this beautiful house again in the future.
