The house was exactly as listed and a great alternative to the local hotels. We stayed for the Cooperstown tournament week, with the house being about a half hour away from the All Star Village. This house was the perfect option to have a private space, laundry, room for our pet, and a clean bathroom for our son during the week.

Jane left the place very clean and impeccable. Her family stayed for 2 weeks and it felt like they had stayed for 1 weekend. We highly recommend them.

Loved the old house with new updates! Sitting on the back porch sipping your coffee and watching the deer and groundhogs in the backyard was the best! The Host was very quick with communication and was actually in town while we were there and came by to show us around. You do need to know that you will lose service about 20 mins from the house, but the host has amazing WIFI and will give you the password before you get there so you can pull up, connect, and message him if need be. His door mat says "come as strangers, leave as friends" we feel that was 100% accurate!

Just what we needed!

The property was clean and spacious! Beautiful drive to Cooperstown. The host was very attentive and gave great recommendations for local restaurants and grocery stores.

Had a great stay

House is well stocked with all essentials needs. A 45 min drive to Cooperstown and a half hour drive to Howe Caverns. Right in the middle of both. Also some good local restaurants in the area. Great for a pet also

Enjoyable Vacation

The dwelling was well-designed and well-furnished. The yard was great sized for a pet. The host was communicative and very gracious and we enjoyed speaking with him and walking his well-kept property. The countryside is very scenic and there is ample opportunity for out-of-doors activity.

Great house

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this house! We loved the simple yet chic decor and found the house very comfortable and easy to relax in. It was well stocked and friendly-seeming. The host was super responsive and helpful. I really recommend it. I hope to stay there again one day.

A beautiful house & yard

We loved our long weekend at Isobella & Pierre's house. It has a big, peaceful yard that we, especially our dog, enjoyed! The house has a lot of different living spaces which is nice especially if you're sharing the house with another couple or family. Isobella gave us recommendations for places to eat which was helpful and I wanted to pass them on as they were all fantastic: Mill Pond Inn, Bull and Garland (we ate outside in their beautiful beer garden), and Buck Hill Farms (for breakfast on the weekends).

Great stay

Everything was great. Check in was simple and went as expected. Clean and neat, plenty of room, everything we needed, very comfortable beds in the house. There was a winter storm coming, so the property owner reached out to help us be prepared and to let us know he was nearby if we needed anything. Many beautiful views of the snow to enjoy from in the house, but we were also able to get out to visit our family nearby. We will be back.

Jefferson fun

We came to this home for a winter weekend away. The home is very charming and comfortable! We enjoyed the sauna and back yard for our two dogs! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Millspond Restaurant is good for dinner. Oneonta is 25 minutes away. We took our daughter roller skating there! The host was very kind and communication was great. Highly recommend!

Tracy and her family were a joy to host . Very nicely behaved kids who left fabulous art on the blackboard. The dogs were super nice and had space to run. We hope they return when more activities can be done during the other seasons.

Great Charming home. Very clean.

Beautiful home. Very clean. Great host and owner. Home only has 1.5 bathrooms but other than that it’s great. Kitchen is very nice and has every amenity you will need. The Master bedroom is very cozy and nice. Only has Room ACs in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. My son was playing baseball at All star village and the drive was 30 minutes but it was a nice drive. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the home. Wish we could have used more of it. We didn’t use the yard or Sauna. Definitely recommend.

Thank you for your review. Sorry you had no time to enjoy it more since the sauna is such a relaxing perk. The 3 rd bedroom has an AC in the closet and can be setup easily on demand. WE prefer to keep it there as the necessity of this AC is rare as we enjoy fabulous dry weather. We prefer to keep the mosquito net on and the ability to open the window. Thank you for recommending the house for the baseball venues during the spring and summer season.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was adorable, cozy, and very clean. We loved the beautiful surrounding property, and it was such a peaceful place to come back to after long days at Cooperstown.We especially appreciated how dog-friendly the home was. We brought our service dog, and it was clear that Pierre had thoughtfully made the house welcoming for guests traveling with dogs. The house had everything we needed, and Pierre was an excellent host—friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.A few of our favorite local finds: Mill Pond was our favorite restaurant. We sat on the patio overlooking the lake, and the atmosphere was incredible. The food was outstanding, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I ordered a mango mojito, and even the mango was freshly muddled. The attention to detail made it one of the best meals of our trip.For breakfast, we loved Buck Hill. Everything was delicious, and their homemade maple syrup was so good that we brought bottles home for friends and family. We had also planned to try The Breakfast Club, but they declined to allow our trained service dog because of an employee allergy, so we chose to dine elsewhere.We also enjoyed exploring the area, seeing deer and other wildlife, and taking a short drive to Mine Kill Falls for an easy, scenic waterfall hike.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Pierre’s home to anyone visiting Cooperstown. It truly felt like a home away from home!

Wonderful house in the peaceful quiet

This property is wonderfully furnished and well equipped. The house is very cozy, and the space is terrific. The sauna was a nice plus to have as well and kids enjoyed it. We love the area and it is a short walk to a beautiful farm land with paths to walk on or bike. Owner was great about communication and we would love to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay!

We’ve enjoyed our stay! House has everything you need and even more. It has plenty of room, kitchen has lots of appliances and all rooms are clean. We loved territory around - perfect for getaway from the city. Host was really nice and always was there for us if we had any questions. We will be back!

Very pleasant house in a quiet location

Very nice house. Probably the best stocked kitchen I have seen in a rental. Every pot, pan, dish, glass, appliance you could possibly want is provided. The house is situated on a large, spacious yard which was perfect for our dogs. Also, has a nice deck overlooking the yard. This is an ideal place for a quiet getaway. It is very likely I will look to rent it again next year.

nature at its best! Nestled between Jefferson and Stamford , Harpersfield is a quiet historical hamlet where nature has a prime space. The farm lifestyle is prevalent and follows the rythm of the seasons. Each time of the years bring a different feel and activities. Summer is the busiest: All the animals are in the pastures and the fields are full of tractors and crops to prepare for the winter. Farm to table restaurants are thriving and you will taste the freshest vegetables . Fall is magnificent with the foliage and the animals preparing for winter and gathering food. Winter sees skiing at Hunter or Wyndham and snowshoeing activities and cross country skiing and snowmobiling , the sights are spectacular and the snow remains white for weeks (not in NYC!). Spring sees the return of birds and migrating species looking for food and getting ready to start their families. the flowers and green trees come back to life and rejuvenate the air. The properties have land and bonfires and picnics are just fantastic!
The animals roam free in the backyards and add to the picturesque settings.

This house has a wonderful backyard and very few NICE neighbors.
Great feeling in the house with lots of art on the walls and warmth in the winter with a fabulous wood stove. The open layout makes it very convivial and relaxing, you can rest and read in the library or just enjoy a fabulous cooking butcher block.
