Great Time and Private

We had such a great time. We had a party of 12 people. The rooms are spacious and we all had private areas. We loved eating on the patio. We loved our time here.

Incredible!

The property is amazing. The X factor is the staff. Jorge and his wife Jaime live onsite in a guesthouse. Jaime manages to keep the place clean while somehow going almost unnoticed. Jorge is delightful and amazing and serves as a sort of onsite concierge..want firewood, just ask. Want fresh coconuts cut down from the trees to make fresh coconut water? Just ask. Bugs getting to be a bit much? He’ll spray the grounds. I mentioned we were celebrating mom’s 80th birthday. We got a birthday cake and amazing decorations (think dozens of arranged balloons) for her. In addition, the food prepared by chefs was incredible. And they clean up after and package the leftovers. This stay overshot expectations by a mile!

We were very impressed with our rental at Mission Bay on April 17 thru the 29 th, 2026. Everything went so smoothly due to the help from our concierge Erika, from arranging our shuttle from Belize City to Placencia to arranging our chef Danzel (who by the way served phenomenal dishes). Gorge is the care taker that keeps everything running smoothly and efficiently. Everyone was friendly and very personable. Would stay there again.

Christmas 2025 Family Reunion

From the first contact to the final wave goodbye, the staff at Gecko Vacation Rentals was knowledgeable, professional, welcoming and accommodating. Great Place!

We enjoyed our time at Mission Bay chef. Anthony was awesome and we had the best meals on the days he cooked for us. Beautiful sunrise. We were a group of 8 adults and the house was perfect for us.

Perfect family vacation

This was a perfect vacation spot for our family-9 adults and one infant. From booking and communicating info on tours, to housekeeping, to the chef. Relaxing, safe, beautiful! We're all ready to go back.

Belizean Vacay

Mission Bay Villa was Awesome. Namir was the best hostess and housekeeper. Chef Anthony's food was amazing. Olvin the caretaker keeps the grounds in immaculate condition. We loved the pier and spent a lot of time there and in the pool. It was a fantastic trip.

Wonderful Villa

We rented the villa for a family reunion. Three generations with three children 4,8 and 12. The Villa was perfect for a large group. Plenty of space for everyone to have privacy and plenty of space to be together. The house and grounds are perfectly maintained. The staff is exceedingly attentive and helpful. We all enjoyed the lovely meals prepared by the chef. The paddle boards and kayaks allowed us to view the manatees off the dock. Would happily rent from Gecko again

Fun at Mission Bay

11 of us stayed and visited Belize as a big family vacation. The staff (Anthony, Namir, Olvin and Maverick) were super friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of things to do at the house which we took part in like paddle boarding, kayaking and just sitting on the dock. It was great.

Birthday Getaway

We had 11 people attend a birthday celebration. The house was perfect as each couple got their own room and the staff (Chef and House Manager) was fantastic....They were very helpful with everything - never had a worry about anything.

Love the property care takers!

Yayme and Jorge were wonderful. I don't think I've had better. They were friendly and took great care of us. I had some communication problem with our concierge, Erica. Mission Villa is in a perfect location. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Wonderful Villa

We had a large family of 12. Namir and Anthony took very good care of us and the Villa. They were so accommodating in everyone’s wants and needs. They both made our stay very enjoyable. We had never experienced chef services and housekeeping with VRBO. Highly recommended 😎
