Excellent Stay!

This lovely house, close to the beach, was perfect for our 5 person, family vacation! A clean house with comfortable beds and couches. So close to the beach with cooler, chairs and sand toys provided. Nice patio area with beautiful garden! Ed is a gracious host who left flowers and treats for our stay.

Giving Thanks

Our multiage family was very happy and comfortable during our week long Thanksgiving break. The distance to and accessibility of the beach was great. We enjoyed the area and found plenty of things to see and do with the kids.

Beach weekend

We had a lovely long weekend at the beach staying in this oasis by the sea. Close to beach, shopping, restaurants. Pretty back yard with citrus trees and monarch butterflies. Ed is a great host.

Family Celebration

We loved our time at this great property. Location was ideal. Lots of great and much appreciated extras: a welcome bouquet, an incredibly well stocked fridge and pantry-including July 4th paper goods!, great ease of check-in and check-out, we were a full house of 8 and the quantity of linens and towels were welcome and well used.We'd love to stay at the property again.

This is an old school beach community. The home decor was basically newish! Kitchen was organized well. Appliances were in excellent condition. The manager, had a lovely fresh floral arrangement on center island. Many treats were stocked in refrigerator. Beds were comfortable. Lovely patio table and nice green yard! A couple of TV's for those not at the beach! Great place for family!

Certainly an Oasis

Comfortable, well appointed property. Situated within easy walking distance to the beach. Loved the fireplace on the rainy Saturday. Refrigerator was stocked with bottled water and other unexpected goodies. Highly recommend.

4th Fun!

The location was ideal! The layout of the home was perfect for our family, the backyard was great: from the BBQ to the outside dining table, to the chaise lounges. When we weren't at the beach we were gathered in the back. There were plenty of beach amenities too including sand toys and beach chairs. This was my/our 2nd stay this property and we will happily come again.

Great stay, highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this property. It was very clean and very well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed and the host was so kind as to leave flowers and snacks for us upon arrival. Communication with the host was very easy. The house is within walking distance to the beach. Our group consisted of three adults (all moms) and our kids. The kids loved walking to the beach to play in the sand and swim. We would definitely come back! Thank you!

We loved this house

The pictures online underrepresent this house very much. We walked in the front door and immediately loved it. Very nice kitchen and back yard. Comfortable bedrooms. It was well-stocked with anything we needed and so many thoughtful extras. It is a two-minute walk from the sand and a five-minute walk from restaurants. It worked perfectly and was very comfortable for our family of five. On any future trip to Ventura we will be staying here again.

The BEST experience 10/10 recommend!

Three words come to mind when I think of my stay at Oasis by the Sea.. Peace of Mind. Ed was an attentive host and had provided everything that we could have possibly needed. The house was stocked with paper plates, waters, baggies, trash bags, napkins, plastic cutlery, condiments, linens, and even some special added extras provided by Ed as a gift to us. It was so nice to be able to sit back, relax and not have to be running back and forth to the store constantly to grab necessities. I really got to really enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones. Not to mention, I got ENGAGED on the beach during my visit in front of all of my family and friends. So, Oasis by the Sea will always hold a special place in my heart. We will be back next year! Ed - Cannot thank you enough for the hospitality and care that you showed me and my family. You are a gem, my friend!

Wonderful Oasis by the Sea

I don’t know where to start on my review of this property. It was amazing from start to finish. Our host Ed started communicating a few days in advance of our stay to make sure we had all questions answered and all info we needed. His communication through the duration of our trip was top notch. We were welcomed with beautiful roses and a personalized card, stocked fridge with water, cheesecake, veggie tray, fruit, breads, ice cream, breakfast items, etc. The kitchen had everything you could ever need-ziplock bags, disposable cups/plates/silverware, coffee, sugar, flour, oil, etc. We never had one thing come up that we couldn’t find. Every sheet, towel, blanket smelled like fresh laundry—you didn’t have to wonder about cleanliness at all. The location was amazing. Just a short walk (2-3 mins) to the beach. Grocery store very close by. Comfortable furniture and beds. Ed was by far the best host we’ve ever had, and we would 100% stay here again. This place is a true hidden gem!

Home away from home

This rental is totally undersold online! The photos make it look dark and dingy but it’s such a great little place! There was plenty of room for my family of 5 to spread out. Our beds were comfortable and the owner even left us snacks (and paper plates!!). We cooked a couple of simple meals and found everything that we needed in the kitchen. There are plenty of bath towels plus beach towels and toys. The backyard is so cute and secluded and the walk to the beach takes about 5 minutes (or less). When we had a problem with the toilet, the owner got maintenance out an hour later and fixed it. The owner is very attentive and seems to be available if you need anything. Next time, I’ll ask if he does airport shuttles! 😃 Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous Host!!

Upon arrival we were welcomed with some fun surprises in the fridge - shows how thoughtful Ed is!! Felt like an old friend was welcoming us. Place was very clean and had everything as listed. About 10 houses from the beach!! Easy location for hanging in Ventura- we loved it all.

Lovely small home by the sea! Lovely welcome by the host!

The vrbo listing needs to be improved, but the stay was lovely. The Oasis is a small, nicely appointed home of 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It easily accommodated 6 adults, and we really enjoyed the welcoming flowers and food treats our host provided. Thank you!
