Situé dans les contreforts des belles Dandenong Ranges entourées de 400 ac de brousse vierge et un 7 ac jardin anglais.

Kar-Din-Yaa Cottage, ce qui signifie «face au soleil» est un paradis pour les birdlover et une retraite romantique
 
Construit il y a 100 ans de planches de cèdre conçu comme un chalet de ski en Europe, il se trouve dans son environnement comme il est cultivé de manière homogène là.

L'air pur de son altitude (350 m) a déjà été apprécié comme une station de santé il y a 100 ans.

Les vents froids de la mer en été et les brumes de l'hiver et parfois même la neige ajoute à ses propriétés de santé donnant
 
A chaque période de l'année il y a des fleurs dans le jardin et les oiseaux, perroquets, perruches et kookaburras ainsi que les étrangers comme les merles enchantent avec leur chant matinal.

Kangourous et wallabies viennent près de la porte (et de manger les roses). Echidnas et Wombats traversent la voie qui mène à la maison.

Réconfortant à regarder de l'extérieur, il est très confortable à l'intérieur. Une grande baie vitrée inonde la 4 surface carrée pièce de lumière. Un piano vous invite à essayer de votre mieux. planches de cèdre recouvert de tapis persans et chinois ajoutent à l'ambiance cosmopolite au sein.

La chambre principale avec des fenêtres ouvertes au soleil du matin a amplement d'espace de rangement.

La deuxième chambre avec un lit queen size peut accueillir le reste de la famille. Les deux chambres sont recouvertes de moquette.

La cuisine, vêtue de vieilles planches de cèdre d'origine 100 ans détiennent néanmoins tout le confort moderne.

Prenez votre tasse de café sur le porche couvert, où un banc balinais invite à vous asseoir et inspirez entoure le paisible. Ou prendre votre petit déjeuner sur la table antique.

La salle de bain a des montagnes de serviettes et des peignoirs blancs moelleux. Un bain à tremper dans, des bougies et de la musique pour vous faire sentir que l'agitation de votre monde - est miles.

La grande terrasse construite à partir d'arbres australiens en dehors de la invitesyou de cuisine pour un barbecue en plein air et donne sur un étang où les grenouilles et les canards sont à la maison
 
A proximité des commerces et des restaurants dans le village de Upper Beaconsfield (2 km), il est également à seulement 11 km de Berwick et à 45 km de Melbourne CBD.

Pretty log cabin

Lovely log cabin on a beautiful property. Owners went to great lengths to make us feel welcome, including a special treats pack (for both the humans and the dogs!) Felt very special to stay here, especially being such a dog friendly place - our mini groodle absolutely loved it!

Charming and beautiful escape

I had a lovely getaway at Kardinyaa. Viktoria was an absolute pleasure to communicate with, a warm and friendly host. She even provided new toys and treats for my dog, which was a really nice touch. The cabin is quaint and lovingly decorated, and the property itself is secluded with gorgeous established gardens. Not too far away from groceries and amenities, but the bush surroundings give the place a feel of serenity. Thanks for having us, we will be back!

Such a lovely quiet escape, that is an easy drive from local shops etc. It was lovely to be able to share our time their with our dog as well. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. Lots of beautiful walks. We didn't want to go home.

Just Glorious - 'Kar-Din-Yaa Cottage' Dandenongs

If you can get-away to 'Kar-Din-Yaa Cottage' Dandenongs, I very highly recommend you do so. Location, accommodation, scenery, host(s) are absolutely wonderful. Less than an hour from Melbourne but surrounded by nature and all its beauty. Very well worth the visit - you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful little cottage house amongst the trees

My friends and I had an amazing stay here. It's private, secluded, and surrounded by nature. The location is perfect for a stay away from suburbia, whilst still being so close to shops and restaurants. It was better than we could have imagined. We loved every moment! Viktoria was very responsive before our stay, and easy to contact whilst we were there :)

A relaxing place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Upper Beaconsfield. The cottage was very clean, cosy and well presented. It is totally surrounded by trees and bushes and has lovely surroundings to explore, especially for dogs! The house was stocked with goodies for the humans and dogs and the owner Viktoria was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning to stay, Lynne and John Vasiliadis.

Home away from home

Ask my dog if he had wonderful stay at Kar-Din-Yaa Cottage and you’ll get a resounding woof of approval. As for the humans, this was a most welcome weekend retreat. So close to Melbourne, yet so far. The property was on the edge of suburbia, but a few turns and a short drive down a gravel road revealed a little garden oasis and a charming cedar cottage imbued with a bohemian spirit and adorned with Balinese-style décor. Just being in amongst such tall trees was good for the soul. Whether it was sitting on the comfy couch reading a book, soaking in the humble ’70s tub with flicking candles creating moody shadows on the wall or having a glass of wine and canapes in the yard, the place was conducive with relaxation. If you have children, there are boardgames and lovely open spaces in which to play. The dog had to be on lead outside, but he didn’t mind. He took him a good 15 minutes to walk around the property because there were many smells to investigate. We also explored the area, with the highlight being the discovery of the dog-friendly Mathias Track, which took us past RJ Hamer Arboretum, resplendent with exotic trees, and through native bushland. It was the short break we both needed, with our much-loved canine by our side, and the comfortable bed ensured we both slept well.

This place is in a beautiful location in what feels like a place far away from civilisation. Views and walks around the cottage are amazing and the place itself has everything you could need. Thoroughly recommended.

Magical historic cottage

This was a beautifully done up cottage. So much attention to detail visually, absolutely amazing. Al mod cons though it is around 100 years old, so good to hear that in mind with the changes in temperature in the back of the house where bathrooms and toilet are. Plenty of portable heaters though, so all good! Comfy good quality bed and breakfast provisions. Missed cooking oil and butter but fresh eggs from the property were much appreciated and quickly devoured. Dinner was in Berwick at the Lava Lounge. Wasn’t our first choice but we were so pleasant surprised! Amazing seafood dishes, really excellent cooking. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property

The house is very cosy and had and incredible backyard to wander off and take in some fresh air. Viktoria was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend it.

A Quiet Retreat

This lovely rustic cottage was a peaceful place to bring my children. Kangaroos came into the garden to graze and we went for long walks in the area.

Heavier curtains needed in the lounge. Very comfy bed and very clean and spacious bathroom with plenty of homely touches to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Enjoyed our overnight stay in this lovely place
