Fantastic stay. Wonderfully well equipped cottage in a handy location even though it felt like we were in the middle of the forest. Highly recommend, especially with dogs - ours loved the location and walks

The cabin was amazing, nestled amongst the trees and surrounded by the sounds of the bush. So many feathered visitors that made us feel at home. Tranquility at its finest. Short peaceful walk to the waters edge. Locals were friendly and the amount of off the leash doggies to say hello to was so welcoming. Inside the cabin, there was plenty to keep us occupied between the rain showers. Great selection of DVD's some titles created some nostalgia and recreated moments with my kids. All in all a pleasant short stay with almost everything we needed, anything we did need was a short drive away.

At first glance, the house looks a bit worn and in need of maintenance, but it turned out to be a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The patio with the wild birds is beautiful and we spend quite a few hours sitting there and in the lounge area watching them. The wood oven is another winner on a chilly evening. One must just chop some wood from the shed and follow the instructions to light a cosy fire. I would recommend this house for a family (sleeps up to 6), for a couple it is nice if you could afford to pay a bit more for thenextra rooms.you don't actually need.

Enjoyed our winter stay in the bush style retreat, nice views and the birds were friendly. Good location.There was a person cleaning when we arrived but it was still very unclean, we needed to sweep and remove cobwebs from the bedroom and the oven had never been cleaned. The host provided some firewood but it was stored on the ground in the wet so not useful.

Our cleaner spent approximately four hours preparing the property for your arrival, which is why she was still finishing when you arrived. We strive to have the property presented to a high standard for every guest, and we're sorry if it did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Regarding the firewood, dry firewood is always provided in the wood box for guests to use. Additional firewood is stored in the shed, where guests can replenish the wood box as needed during their stay. We appreciate your comments and will also discuss your concerns about the cobwebs and oven with our cleaner to ensure our standards continue to be maintained. Moonwaters

Denmark is a fantastic area to stay in with lots to see and do. This property has a great edge of town rural location with wonderful bird life on the veranda everyday and a nice view down to the water. Easy drive to the shops. It is certainly not "modernised" and clearly maintenance is not a main priority. The kitchen was fine and very functional though and sports a large new fridge, good cooktop and working oven. However, the wardrobe doors were non-sliding and falling off their rails, all the mats outside were in dire need of replacement, laundry tap drips, exterior wood needs attention, definitely time for a bathroom update and its pretty dark inside even with all lights on. The firewood was mostly very wet and despite being raised on open fires I only managed to get it going two out of three evenings using two whole boxes of firelighters and some sticks gathered from elsewhere. Luckily it was not very cold. Would say that for 6 people with a dog would be quite good value, for a couple less so. Prompt communication prior to arrival although owner (?manager) warned us he would be out of communication driving to Perth on our arrival afternoon with no back up so it the ancient lock box had not worked could have been problematic.

It really is one of the best parts of the place, isn’t it? There’s something about sitting out on the decking, especially in the late afternoon, that just slows everything down a notch. So glad you enjoyed it. That space was meant for exactly that, a quiet coffee, a glass of wine, or just doing absolutely nothing for a while. This is exactly why Moonwaters exists. Peace, quiet, that little glimpse of the inlet through the trees that makes you stop mid-sentence and just stare for a minute. This was the second time we stayed at Moonwaters and we love it. We particularly love the view over the forest from the porch and the Little River walk trail right below the cottage that goes along the inlet shoreline.

We found the rooms very clean. The host was informative before our visit and let us know that he would be in Perth and to expect some delay in responding to queries. From a pet point of view, the whole place is quite good. We made a lot of use of the kitchen and were able to prepare our meals easily with the facilities provided.
