Cycling/Beaches/Dining: Best of Costa Brava. Chic Stone "Castle" in Village A/C

The area does have beautiful views and charming medieval villages,a great get-away in winter and summer. But this review underscores some of the unique qualities of the house. In winter, the house is very warm and cozy since it's made of stone, so nice for the cold months. (It stays cool in the summer because of the stone also.) There is a lot of room in the house! It easily accommodates groups and families, but fine for couples, too.

"We loved our stay at Can Torre, not only the house is beautiful, large, and fully equipped but also Cruilles turned out to be quite a surprisingly beautiful town and towns nearby (Monells and San Miguel de Cruilles). It's an ideal place to stay if you are looking for a family-friendly and quiet(ish) break. It can easily accommodate 10 people comfortably." And another 5 star from August. "Magnifique maison médiévale très bien restaurée . Beaux volumes et nombreuses pièces ! Il ne faut pas avoir peur des escaliers car la maison et le jardin sont sur de nombreux niveaux différents . La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de gout . Les murs épais dispensent de la climatisation en été . Les villages environnants sont magnifiques . C'est dans une partie non touristique , mais à 30 minutes de voitures de la plupart des stations balnéaires ." Our home is a medieval, stone house with a tower from the 13th century. It is in the heart of a medieval village in the Baix Empordan. I think Frederic would have been much happier with more conventional lodgings, though I regret that the cleanliness was not up to par!! Obviously, we can always do better. He had access to our website that has all the up-to-date information. Too bad he didn't reach out to me. I've rented out the house for over 20 years and was quite surprised at his review.

I encourage prospective guests to look at the photos of our house and the descriptions carefully! The photos are absolutely accurate and the description of the layout of the house also. The house's big appeal, which most guests love, is its size and location. The house is very spacious with many areas for gathering, so it's great for family, friends and fun. This is our vacation home, so we like it no fuss so we don't have to worry about it. There are a few types of coffee makers at the house. Perhaps she wasn't familiar with them.
