Absolutely loved our family getaway at Pambula beach. The house was perfect - really enjoyed how the kids had their own space on the ground floor and the pocket doors add privacy upstairs as well. The views are exactly as pictured - whale watching from your bedroom or the deck! Adorable kangaroos and wallabies right in the backyard enjoying the fruit trees. The beach was gorgeous and so was the river - we couldn’t decide which spot we enjoyed more! Will absolutely be coming back!

Great property and location! The view of the ocean from the balcony, living room and main bedroom is beautiful and relaxing. All four of us slept comfortably (2 people in master, 1 in second bedroom, and 1 in the single), and the fact there were three bathrooms was also very handy for getting ready in the morning for days out. BBQ works well, and nice to have a large inside and outside dining table. We would definitely recommend the place, and would be happy to book again if the opportunity comes up!

This house was gorgeous. It had everything we needed to be comfortable and it all felt a bit special and luxurious. The view was amazing day or night and it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. We were very sad to leave.

Great place to get away

Great views and very clean little beach shack. Helpful property manager. Only downside was the mattress in the master bedroom could do with replacing. It is very average.

Great location with fantastic views

Note there is no wifi and no basic provisions except salt and pepper. Lots of tableware and cooking utensils available but frypan needs replacing. Bathrooms tired but very clean.

View was wonderful and great deck to sit on. Large place on two levels. Didn’t use the lower level but would be very cold as we were upstairs but we had a very good gas heater in the lounge area that saved our lives. The bedroom was very cold but was acceptable with a small space heater supplied. My wife is 80 and very susceptible to cold. At our age the advertised closeness to the beach is misleading. We had to drive as the hills are very steep and the path to the river mouth was simply too challenging for us. Perhaps younger visitors may cope. Before leaving my wife rang the most phone number to ask about heating and the phone rang out; no message bank response. Overall though we did have a good stay. With a car the location is excellent and it was really the cold in the house in Winter that spoiled it somewhat. I imagine it would be a great summer house. Pambula River was a brilliant location for my bird photography so I was happy. The toilet smell was also a problem. Despite scrubbing and cleaning it every day twice there was an embedded urine smell the bathroom and toilet coming from somewhere we could not remove. Thank you

WE LOVED IT

Absolutely loved it. The photos are exactly how it is! Location fantastic and really enjoyed it being a little bit off the track. Saw the echindna which was a highlight! Our two families had enough space from each other and great communal areas to come together in. The deck was amazing as covered so even though it was a rainy week it was very usable. Just a super relaxing holiday with everything we needed in the house!

Pambula Beach Escape

We originally booked for 4 adults but 2 cancelled due to illness. Therefore, the lower floor was superfluous to our needs and not used. The upstairs and deck views were spectacular with whale watching and the top floor comfortably suited our needs. The bathroom was a bit dated and the driveway turn into and out of carport a bit tricky but overall no complaints.

Fantastic View

Stayed for a week with three young children. Plenty of space for them to play upstairs or downstairs with a games room. The view from the deck of the Pambula River mouth and across to Merimbula is amazing and better than what the photos show. Beds were very comfortable with good quality linen and towels provided. The property was spotless and maintained very well and there is plenty of cutlery crockery etc. The location is only a short walk, or 2 minute drive (downhill) to either the river mouth or the main beach. Communication with the host was excellent with easy to follow instructions. Would definitely recommend this property

Awesome place with an even better view...

The house was nice, well-maintained and well equipped. While an AC would have made the hot day a bit more bearable, the lower parts of the house were still cool. No wifi means you rely on a spotty mobile connection - but you're supposed to be on vacation, right? So, who cares? The view and location are an absolute dream! We had kangaroos and parrots visit us in the backyard constantly. Of course that means, you've got to be careful where you step in the backyard - but you've got such a lovely house and porch, so why not leave the backyard to the local wildlife. We'd love to come back soon!

Perfection at Viewpoint, Pambula Beach

Quite honestly the pictures on the webpage do not do this property justice! As we all walked through the door to be greeted by the view was breathtaking. The beds offer you the best nights sleep with top quality linen and towels, so much space and storage on hand and fully equipped kitchen area. The deck outside offers an unforgettable view, the sounds of waves and at night a magnificent view of the stars! No alarm clocks needed as the native birds are more than happy to serenade you into a new day…look down onto the well maintained and enjoy all the visiting kangaroos simply relaxing on the grass…a sight to behold! The beach/river mouth is a 5 minute walk down the footpath and is simply stunning. There is a coastal walking track to take you away from the main road down to the caravan park where you meet the open ocean and can walk to your hearts content on the sand with National park to your left it is all the peace and quiet you’ll need! Did we want to leave? No! Will we be back? In a heartbeat! Megan is a wonderful host full of local information and advice if you can even tear yourself away from the house! It was an absolutely awesome find for us to relax and spend time with family from overseas, there is a wealth of books, DVDs, games and space for younger family members to enjoy. Thank you Megan!

Waking up with the kangaroos!

Is there anything more Australian than a summer holiday where you wake up with kangaroos in the backyard? This property is clearly a much loved family holiday house, now on the rental market. I feel like more attention could be spent on the small details – perhaps it needs “renters eye” cast over it rather than an owner‘s eye? attention needs to be paid in the cupboards as what family is used to isn’t quite up to scratch at this price point although overall the property is great and I rate it highly - but not yet a 5 for me. There’s no excuse for wire coat hangers and mismatched coffee cups or chipped plates now that both are so easily and inexpensively available. A bit more dusting is also needed on blinds and higher surfaces. Air spray and hand wash in the master bathroom were both empty on arrival, and although I could raid the other bathrooms this should not have had to have occurred. Also, there were no provisions left in the laundry which is unusual for properties of this calibre and this an unexpected hassle. However the upstairs (ground level) is a winner with close to 180° views from every room except for the kitchen and easy parking. The property is only a few minutes drive from Pambula, and about 10 minutes into Merimbula with local oysters available a quick 5 minute drive away. Even with its current shortfalls, I would rent this property again and will recommend it to friends.

Amazing view

The house was perfect for us. We were 4 adults and 2 children. Very comfortable and very well supplied with anything you would need. The view was amazing with a bonus of kangaroos in the yard every day. Would highly recommend this property.
