Location was fantastic, an easy walk into the town. Everything suited our needs, shower was great pressure, heating good, overall comfortable.

Good nights sleep which is all we needed.

Close to town and comfortable beds, if you are looking for modern then this will not meet your needs.

Good value however the linen and towels need a good clean!

Great location and value for money. Some basic maintenance of facilities and thorough cleaning of linen would enhance this listing greatly.

Good base for activities

Served us well as a home base. It's just a short walk to town we could do our shop, ride bikes then return to chillout in the garden space infront of property whilst listening to the creek.

Nice place but confusion about sleeping arrangements

Four adults required separate beds. There were no sheets for the couch settee and I couldn’t contact the owner to give us some bedding.

I would not choose to stay at this property

Musty, small, cobwebbed, and poorly sited. My experience: After arrival we were uncomfortable and didn't unpack, we booked elsewhere and didn't stay any longer than necessary in this property. Agent: The agent was communicative and said the property was budget and needed renovation. She kindly refunded the second night.

Very disappointed with your review, we went beyond what we needed to do in giving you a refund. We have never stated anywhere in our property description that the property is anything other than budget accommodation and believe your expectations for the property were unrealistic. We have had many reviews of people loving our retro family friendly unit and amazing location. We hope you do much more research into properties you book in the future because this type of situation makes stress for a host as much as a guest, as we put lots of time in to making our guests stay comfortable.

Not what was advertised

Just disappointed that it wasn't the same place as what was advertised. Advertised unit was modenised, with nicer furniture. The lounge suite was torn stained and sagged in places. Carpet was stained in lounge area, heater was full of dust. It wasn't expensive, but at least be true to advertising

Good budget accomodation

A comfortable unit with the essentials for chilly Bright- hot shower, fast working heater, electric blankets. The unit is very retro, so don’t expect anything too flash. But considering the price comparable to other accomodation more expensive motels or BnBs in Bright, Baker’s Gully ticks all the boxes.Will mention that one of the couches felt lumpy and unstable. Note wifi isn’t included - my fault for not reading the listing properly so can’t blame on the hosts. I just assumed it would be included since every other bnb I’ve been at included wifi. But mobile data worked just fine.

Basic is right, but it has everything you need

She ain't fancy. Only gave it 5 stars because the water pressure in the shower covers all wrong. Needs another heater ideally.

Substandard cleanliness

Fantastic location. I understand it was budget accommodation but cleanliness was definitely substandard. Can overlook certain things as it is listed as a budget accommodation but don’t feel that we should have to clean before and after we stay.

We never come back again

It's very old building and smelled mould. We had most uncomfortable bed ever. The beds were narrow, short and no mattress as well as sofa in living room. I'm 163cm height but can touch the bottom of beds. My friends actually left after they stayed 1 night because the beds were hard, uncomfortable and wasnt clean properly. There is a big backyard however, no one did mowing so, we couldn't go there. The unit was not inviting us at all. I hope the host makes good holiday accommodation for travellers.

Your review is very disappointing, considering may guests before you have had no issues with the unit. We where disappointed with how dirty you left the unit and that you were late to leave so don't mind your choice to never stay again. Hope you can find something else that meets your high standards, as our description does not claim to be anything other than budget accommodation.

Fun Retro

We would definitely here again. Short walk to shops and the weekend market that was on at the footy oval. The unit is retro fun and reminded me of my childhood home. It is very clean and very warm. We enjoyed lunch by the creek at the bottom of the garden and Michelle has added fun features.

Bakers Gully Retreat

Stayed over at this property over 3 nights and was well worth the stay. The accommodation was clean and accessible and the owner was easy to communicate with. Close to centre of town and to walking & MTB trails.The area where the property was situated was very nice & quiet.
