Propriété Cadre:
Hidden Valley Retreat Cottages est idéalement situé près de Sydney mais on ne pouvait pas se sentir plus éloigné de l'agitation de la vie quotidienne une fois que vous arrivez. Situé sur 40 acres de terres vierges près de Kurrajong, dans la région de Hawkesbury, nous sommes niché dans les contreforts des Montagnes Bleues. Ceci est l'endroit idéal pour ceux qui cherchent à se détendre dans la paix et la tranquillité de la forêt tropicale, en écoutant les oiseaux et l'eau courante du ruisseau. Faites une promenade pour profiter de la beauté naturelle de la nature, la brousse qui abonde, sirotez vin ramassé sur le Voyage de la journée dans la vallée ou assis au coin du feu en écoutant votre musique préférée; faire autant ou aussi peu que vous le souhaitez.

LE CHALET:
Cabbage Tree Cottage, nommé d'après la paume imposante à côté d'elle, est une cabane en rondins colon style traditionnel avec deux chambres (une reine et un double). Draps et serviettes sont fournis et les lits ont des couvertures électriques. Il y a une kitchenette de base et barbecue privé pour répondre à des repas simples. Le chalet dispose feu ouvert et de la climatisation / chauffage, ainsi que d'une double salle de bain avec jets. Partez à la découverte en aval du ruisseau derrière le chalet, ou tout simplement regarder à partir de votre véranda à travers la pelouse pittoresque en profitant de la beauté de la nature sauvage.

LA PROPRIÉTÉ:
Cabbage Tree Cottage est l'un des cinq isolées, cabanes rustiques, privées autonomes, chacun dans leur propre zone séparée de la forêt sur la propriété. Ils sont disponibles individuellement ou en groupe jusqu'à 24 personnes. Un court de tennis est disponible pour utiliser jusqu'à la colline à la maison principale.

MONUMENTS:
Les attractions voisines incluent les beaux jardins botaniques de Mt Tomah, village pittoresque Kurrajong, les marchés de Richmond et Windsor historique tout en 10 à 30 minutes en voiture et vaut bien une visite. Sur notre porte sont deux parcs nationaux du patrimoine mondial, les Blue Mountains et la Wollomi, sans parler de la rivière Grose idéal pour une baignade rapide, ou le puissant fleuve Hawkesbury pour plus.

The location and cottage itself is worthy of 5 stars, but the host Fiona is a wonderful bonus! We were so warmly greeted upon arrival, the place was spotless, and we were given the privacy that we were after. Fiona provided great information about local attractions too. We had torrential rain for a good part of our stay, but it didn't disrupt anything. It was awesome to have a warm spa bath to come back to after a walk. Highly recommend!

We had such a relaxing weekend and felt at home the moment we arrived. The setting is gorgeous, with a lovely little river to stroll along, and we really enjoyed gathering around the campfire in the evenings. The cabin itself is cozy and very comfortable, the beds are super comfy, and we treasured the family time by the fire. We’d happily come back!Thanks for having us.

Very cute cottage

We had 2 couples and dogs, staying during new years to escape the noise offireworks for our doggo friends who are terrified. This is our second time doing the same thing, and would happily stay again.

Beautiful Cottage!

This place is a tranquil haven and one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed! Fiona and Mike were incredible hosts and gave us lots of lovely recommendations for activities in the area. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need to switch off, relax and enjoy yourself in a natural paradise with all the modern facilities. Perfect getaway

This was our second stay at Hidden Valley & we enjoyed the stay just as much as the first time. It’s the perfect getaway from the city. No phones, a good book, radio & some dvds. Also a great pet friendly spot. Fiona our host was lovely & came by to welcome us. Highly recommend a weekend getaway here or even a bit longer.

A perfect city escape

We had a beautiful weekend in the Cabbage Tree Cottage. Lots of time was spent on the front porch, reading and birdwatching and just enjoying the beautiful green surroundings. The open fire and lounges were cosy and perfect for the Winter nights. The beds are also super comfy. We also enjoyed the walk along the creek, which is beautiful. Fiona is an excellent host. Great communication and very helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Relaxing Weekend Away

Myself and two mates arrived Friday afternoon and had a very relaxing evening by the fire. The following day we went for a short hike down toward the Grose Vale River from the nearest lookout. The remainder of the day was for relaxing in the sun by the cabin, exploring the small river running through the property and having a BBQ dinner beside the fire. The host was accommodating prior to arrival and we had our privacy whilst staying there. I will go back.

Quietude. Solace. Peace.

It was exactly what I needed. Clean, comfortable in a deep gorge, with a eucalypt forest up one side and a rainforest up the other. Went bush bashing down that creek for a few hours the first day and spent the rest of my time with my feet up in the sunshine, or next to that huge fireplace with a pile of books. Loved it! I’ll be back next year. Thanks guys!

Perfect getaway

I loved every bit of our stay at Cabbage Tree Cottage. If you are after some time away to rest, switch off, digital detox and spend time with nature this is the place. The Cottage was cosy and delightful with everything you need, the bed was so comfortable, the indoor fire of a night was a treat while playing cards and board games and the outdoor fire pit was nice to watch the stars. The sound of the birds, the visiting ducks, the stream running alongside the cottage, the sound of the wind in the trees was very relaxing. Cabbage Tree Cottage was very secluded. Fiona is a terrific host. We didn't need to leave the Cottage because we just enjoyed being in such a beautiful place. Highly recommend a visit to Cabbage Treet Cottage and we will definitely be back!

Lovely, quiet location, surrounded by bush.

We loved this property for its old-fashioned charm, quiet surroundings and serene outlook. We would like to see an update to some of the furnishings though. Whilst the cottage is charming, some of the furnishings are damaged or worn out. For example, the jet bath is very old and cracked all through; a modern shower and/or bath is essential. Apart from needing a freshen up, the cottage is a wonderful place to get away from the city. It is very quiet, comfortable and serene; the beds are conducive to a good nights' sleep, and there is plenty of room for pets to run. A breakfast hamper would be a nice touch.

Relax and Recharge

We absolutely loved this place, we relaxed and recharged. Pet friendly which was an absolute plus!! The hosts Fiona and Mike are amazing!!! Our furbaby Bailey loved the change of scenery!! If your looking for an ideal place to relax and unwind then then this is the place to stay!! So much to do locally without feeling overwhelmed!! Clean and tidy and as per description, Highly recommend!!! We Thank You for having us and will definitely be back!!!

Just what the doctor ordered!

My partner and I had a such amazing and peaceful experience. It was just so nice to get back to basics, have some technology downtime and enjoy the surroundings. The property had all we needed. We did a couple of lovely hikes over the weekend and enjoyed an afternoon at Hillbilly Cider. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking to get out of the city!!

Tranquil!

This property was set in a large garden with lots of trees around! Bird song everywhere. Everything you need is in the cottage and the open fire was very cosy!!
