Laissez votre stress derrière vous et profitez du temps passé avec votre famille et vos amis dans cette nouvelle cabine familiale de 5 chambres. Facilement accessible par tous les véhicules, cette escapade en montagne incroyablement calme et relaxante est entourée de l'éclat de Mère Nature, avec des visites régulières de nos «voisins» comme les wapitis, les cerfs, les orignaux et une multitude d'oiseaux et de tamias. Cette cabine nouvellement construite de 5 chambres et 2 salles de bain se trouve sur 20 acres entourée de terres publiques du Service forestier, avec un accès direct à de nombreuses activités. La cabane a été construite autour de la cabane minière d'origine de la propriété, qui sert désormais de l'une des 5 chambres à thème.

Les activités sont infinies; fers à cheval, pétanque, folfing, lasso golf, baignade dans l'étang, pêche sur la propriété, VTT, détendez-vous sur l'un des 4 ponts, trempez-vous dans le bain à remous pour 7 personnes, ou même faites une sieste dans l'un des hamacs placé dans toute la propriété. Profitez de la beauté que la forêt de Selway-Bitterroot environnante a à offrir avec des randonnées d'une journée vers les lacs de montagne ou la pêche sur la rivière West Fork. Visitez l'un des nombreux guetteurs d'incendie de la région pour des vues spectaculaires et infinies, ou faites des excursions d'une journée pour visiter des endroits comme Big Hole National Battlefield, Bannack Ghost Town, Historic Virginia City ou Lost Trail Ski Area. Terminez votre journée en vous asseyant à côté d'un feu de camp, en faisant des smores, en partageant des histoires de la journée et en regardant le magnifique ciel étoilé. Faites tout ou partie de ces actions, ou choisissez simplement de ne rien faire du tout.

Wonderful retreat

This was our second year staying here, and it was just as great as we remembered. The kids ages 3&5, really loved playing in the stream that goes by the house as well as the playground. The adults loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. We plan on seeing you next year as well!

We looked for a place we could bring our 3 adult children, their spouses and our 5 grand children. What a great choice. The owners were exceptional communicators, and super hosts. Relaxing and comfortable getaway

Our family had a great stay. It was a very hot week, so we enjoyed the creek and pond by day, and the hot tub by night! Everything we needed to prepare meals was available to us. Our hosts were very sweet and helpful and made us feel very welcomed. They were there if we needed anything, and even though close by, it offered privacy and a great place to gather!

Perfect Cabin for Family

The owners are wonderful people and have thought of everything you could possibly need. The pond was fun and we all enjoyed it very much on these warm days with plenty of toys for the grandkids. The cabin is spacious, clean and well stocked. Hopefully, we can make it back next year.

Delightfully remote and relaxing

We had a wonderful week in the woods courtesy of this spacious cabin. The just-a-step-away forest access was perfect for our crew and the cabin was so well stocked with everything from baking supplies to blankets! Our only (minor) issue was some reactivity to the scented detergents/cleaning products, which had one of the group member's asthma acting up. From babies to adults to dogs, everyone still had a blast running around and exploring the area.

Perfect house for 3 generation family

We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs over the last 15 years and this was either the family favorite or the second favorite of all the houses we have stayed in. The house is nicely designed to allow family time and alone time. It was rainy and cold for much of our stay so we didn't take advantage of the pond and some of the games but we still had a very good time. We very well might come back in 2 or 3 years. We are hikers and there were trails for every level from the casual walker to the hard core mountaineer.

Dawn and Jerry helped us get all of our gear out of the truck in the 5 minute period where the skies opened up and poured rain and hail! Haha, it actually was pretty funny. Incredible!!

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful property. It is a hidden gem, tucked away in Montana. We loved the hot tub, the pond, walking trails, wildlife, and nearby Painted Rock State park for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. We saw elk, deer, chipmunks, buffalo, etc. The kitchen is so well stocked. We kept thinking there must be something they would be missing, but each time, we found what we needed. It was amazing. So green and beautiful. The beds were comfy along with the couches. So nice to have the wi-fi, lots of dining space, a lovely kitchen, etc. Hope to be back soon.

Great for a family outing

If you are looking for a mountain getaway, this property offers everything you could ask for. The cabin is nestled in the pine trees, great mountain views, abundance of wildlife in the area, mountain streams, and the Painted Rock Lake is spectacular! The cabin was very comfy for the 7 of us and it is true to the listing. We enjoyed being able to use the fire pit, hot tub (a big hit), and the outdoor games that were available.We did make a few trips into Darby (easy 45 minute drive) to check out the town and surrounding areas. Most of the time though was spent around the cabin or driving some of the mountain roads nearby in search of wildlife. The charcoal bbq grill was put to use nearly everyday.Dawn & Jerry were super hosts, meeting us at the cabin upon our arrival and answering any questions that we had. We were amazed by all the extras that were provided for our stay. You will definitely not be disappointed if you choose to plan to stay in this very spacious cabin!!

Wonderful cabin for family

We loved everything about the cabin, we especially enjoyed the hot tub and the little stream running in front of the cabin. Also getting to see elk and deer out the dining room window was great! Hôte : Jerry & Dawn Schreiber

Jerry & Dawn Schreiber are the owners of the property. They built their original log cabin on the property to be a family vacation spot as their four kids were growing up. They have since retired and now spend the majority of their time at this place. With their kids now grown with families of their own, the original place would get crowded whenever the whole family could get together. So, they decided it was time to expand and build a new cabin on the property that could accommodate everyone. They also realized that they had an incredible location for other families, like their own, to gather and make memories that would last a lifetime. It is because of this that they decided to share this new property with others, through VRBO, looking to create the same type special family memories that they have enjoyed for decades.

This property was originally purchased in 1965 by Jerry Schreiber's parents, who had visited the area for years prior to their purchase. The property has been host to numerous family reunions since then and is now being enjoyed by the fourth generation of the family.
