Great stay!

The house is well stocked with everything you could need for a family or group. One of the nicest we've stayed at, easy check in and plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed walking the road, everyone we met on our walks were welcoming and friendly.

Great house in an awesome area. If you have not been to Western NN, you have to go.

The house was every thing as advertised. We had a great stay. A bigger TV would be nice.

Wonderful house, great location, excellent host

We stayed with a group of five adults for a trip to Deal’s Gap and just loved this house! The place is beautifully renovated and decorated with lovely landscaping. We were particularly pleased with the paved parking available for our five Honda S2000s. The location is about five miles to Robbinsville and about a 15 minute drive to Deal’s Gap (a.k.a. Tail of the Dragon).The house is well-stocked with many upgraded items and had everything we needed to cook some meals and grill some steaks. There were really nice personal touches throughout (some fresh flowers, water bottles in the fridge, etc.) and the beds were very comfortable. The host/owner (Aura) was very communicative and immediately responsive to any questions that we had. You can tell she takes great pride in the house and in making us feel welcome and comfortable. The view from the deck and lakeside bedroom is gorgeous. There isn’t direct lake access, but there is a stairway down to the road below where you can go to the public access or make friends with a neighbor with a dock, but we weren’t there to swim or boat. Highly recommended; we plan to stay there again.

Beautiful Santeetlah home

We have stayed at this property every year for the last four years and absolutely love this place. The neighborhood and setting is fantastic. House has great bedrooms and bathrooms, beautiful porch to hang out on, etc.

Great house fully equipped.

The beds were comfortable, the house had everything you need including the kitchen very well stocked. Normally you have to purchase a lot of small things for a vacation house but this one had everything we needed.

This was a beautiful home for our family to stay in for 5 days over July 4th holiday. Perfectly stocked with everything needed for your stay! Very spacious bedrooms and baths. Plenty of parking and i must say the landscaping is absolutely stunning. Certainly created with an artists eye! Aura is a gracious host!

Beautiful, large, clean home.

Great house. Three bathrooms for three bedrooms, plus 2 pullouts. Great location near the lake, but not ON the lake. For lake access, you’ll need to go to the public access spot a short drive down the road, or make friends with a neighbor with a dock! Quiet neighborhood. Comfy bedrooms. The pullout couch in the loft is not comfortable, unfortunately. Otherwise, great property.

Fantastic lake house

We just stayed at this house for the second time in a year and loved it just as much the second time around. It appeared that the house acquired some nice additions since the last time as well, such as an additional bed and optional air mattress in one of the bedrooms. The driveway being paved is a huge plus for those who come to the area for car/motorcycle events. Porches are great, and the location is fantastic too.

One of our favorites

We've stayed at a lot of different houses in the area, and this one has become our favorite. It's always well-kept, well-prepared, and well-stocked for most anything you'd need as a rental in the area. We appreciate the lakeside location, but also being close to town in the event that you need supplies of any kind. We also enjoy the nice gestures from the owner, like stocking the fridge with fresh eggs to work with for breakfasts. Definitely recommend.

The Best

We have never stayed anywhere that was so well equipped. We grilled and there was an extra full propane tank, so no worry about running out. The house was spotless, and the owner put out fresh cut flowers. I was just like being at home except better because it is perfectly kept.. Gorgeous secluded house with tons of space and lake views

The home was perfect for 6 adults on a recent trip the Deal's Gap. The driveway was huge and we could fit all our cars (very low S2000, boxster, C6) and a truck and trailer. The driveway is a little steep at first but levels out. The road getting to the house is a windy, one way, single lane road. But we were able to get a truck and trailer with a car on it through there just fine. The house is the perfect spot between Robbinsville and Deal's Gap. We could see the sunset through the trees over the water from the deck. Very quiet and relaxing area. We had a blast! The host was very communicative. 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful, Spacious Home with Lots of Amenities

We were a group of 7 adults plus our dog and we had PLENTY of room for everyone to spread-out. The kitchen was stocked with lots of spices and oils for cooking our meals. The grill on the deck was ready-to-go with a full propane tank. There was more than enough firewood for us to have a great evening at the fire pit. The house was immaculately clean and we didn't lack for anything. Our host was very responsive when we had questions prior-to and during our stay. The house is located in an extremely quiet community and the roads leading in and out are very steep and curvy. There is a beautiful winter view of the lake from the back decks but no actual lake access. Just a short drive if you want to be at the marina or fishing on the nearby river.

Peaceful retreat

We came across this lovely place when looking for a place to stop for a couple days in the Smokey Mountains. Aura’s home is the perfect place to rest while enjoying the beautiful Lake Santeetlah. The home had plenty of space for our family of 6. Three bedrooms and bathrooms on three different levels. The kitchen was well equipped to cook meals and the grill was used too. We enjoyed making S’Mores on the fire pit and having morning coffee on the back porch. The gardens at the home were stunning and the first thing we noticed when we first pulled up. Flowers and lush trees all over the grounds. So Peaceful and tranquil! Aura was a delight to work with when there was a problem with the washer. She takes pride in her home and it shows.

Family Getaway

The cabin was very nice but lacked in a couple of areas. The kitchen could use some serious cooking utensils (pots/pans, measuring spoons, etc). There were 3 TVs and we could never get any to connect to a major network. This could have been our lack of knowledge, however there were no instructions available. The hot water seemed to run cold to the kitchen sink but very hot to the downstairs bath. You had to run the water for a long time before getting hot in the main bathroom. All 3 bedrooms need to have the mattress replaced with queen or king size beds. Ice machine in the refrig did not produce ice unless we didn't know how to operate it properly. The location is perfect. Very quiet, beautiful surroundings and people were friendly that we met on the road.

Don't work with Evolve management

I am regular and long time user of VBRO and honestly never had a bad experience. Unfortunately this time we had a accident on way to our property. I reached to the designated property manager by email and phone to advise and NEVER got a response. I then attempted to contact the Management at Evolve and NEVER got a response. We chose to abandon our trip and plans. I will not book any property again that Evolve handles and suggest you do the same. Really disappointed. EVERY other property manager I have dealt with has been responsive and helpful but Evolve must not care. Jim Boerigter

Motorcycle friendly

fantastic, clean house in a perfect location for any motorcycle or car enthusiast. just minutes away from Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Moonshiner 28 and Foothills Parkway. The driveway is smoothly paved with plenty of room to park your bikes, trailers and trucks.

Perfect getaway!

Our stay was perfect. Loved the privacy that this house has to offer 💕The house was so clean and really stocked with plenty of kitchen supplies. Our emails were answered promptly and owner offered plenty of things to do and places to eat.
