This Beach Front Cottage is so close to the water you can throw a rock in it. Come relax in our home on the water.
Park directly in front of your door and be on the sandy dunes within a few steps. This large sprawling home is fantastic for multi-families or smaller groups.

This is a large roomy home. A bit rustic, but pet friendly and WATERFRONT!!

We offer 4 bedrooms, 1 Living Room for the adults and one for the kids! Both with Large Smart TV's for your binging!

The kitchen, family room and dining area are arranged in an open room concept on the main floor.

This home features 4 bedrooms, the master with a Queen and a single and an attached full bathroom (with a stand up shower), the second bedroom has a queen and the 3rd upstairs bedroom has two twin beds. The Fourth bedroom, downstairs, has two twin beds and a Queen bed. This unit can sleep up to 12 guests if you are a close-knit group!

We have a deck on the back from which you can watch the sunrise and sunset.

Even with a bit of modernizing, the property is a historical home that is now over 85 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its charm as an older beach cottage. But even so, we hope that you will love our older and charming home.

We are pet friendly with appropriate fees.

• There are NO PARTIES ALLOWED! We are in a quiet, tight-knit, residential community. Our neighbors will not hesitate to report any excessive noise to the Police and to us! Immediate eviction with **NO REFUND** will result if there is a party on the property.

Quiet hours begin at 9 PM.

This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No loud music or noise.

Cute beach house

Perfect little spot right there on the water. It’s tucked away right off the main street so you really have to keep your eyes open for the driveway.

Based on reviews, I wasn’t expecting anything fancy and it wasn’t. I was hoping it would be better than I expected, but ended up being a bit worse than expected due to cleanliness and needing updates. Overall, I felt the house was dirty, many lights out/missing bulbs, had cockroaches. However, the location was awesome! Fantastic view of the ocean and walk to the beach, so close! There were plenty of beds and they were all comfortable. Kitchen was decently stocked and functional. Bathrooms were fine, based on age of house, plenty of hot water! This house has so much potential, just needs some TLC.

Beach Front

This location is perfect beach access! It is a nice quiet location with not a crowded beach. The property manager was in contact and very helpful. Our biggest disappointment was the sand/growth in the way of the view from the deck. When sitting on the deck, couldn’t easily see the beach like the picture shows, from yearly buildup and weathering.

there was plenty of room, even though we could'nt use the basement bedroom. kids were able to use upstairs livingroom to sleep. inside home was clean. outside could use a little picking up. ocean view and beach was real nice.it is pretty much as described. overall,we enjoyed our stay.

Property needs work

There is a constant leak in one bathroom, no hot water in the sink of one bathroom, a broken picture on the wall. We are older women and the beach access is a tough walk we actually had to use the access from the neighbors due to the condition of ours. This property definitely needs some work.

Overall 3 stars out of 5 experience. Location was ideal - right on the beach in easy walking distance. The owner was also very communicative, which made checkin/checkout easy. The house is in need of repairs. Our biggest issue during our stay was the weak plumbing -- 10 people sharing a bathroom where the toilet does not properly flush (and then the cheap plunger broke requiring an emergency trip to the store), put a damper on the trip. Additionally, cleaning in between visits could be improved. We noticed a smell in the kitchen and found rotten potatoes in one of the cupboards. Given the price point and location, we were not expecting anything fancy. Overall we had a good experience, and the house itself could be improved with some quick fixes and improvements by the owner.

Most disgusting property we ever stayed in. The place is infested with roaches mainly in the kitchen. As we enter the property the roaches met you at the kitchen doorway. The home owners or cleaners knew they had roaches because there were RAID roach sprays under the sink. Unfortunately, moving to a hotel or another house was not possible because they were sold out due to many events happening during the weekend. I contacted the owners George and Kathleen and George responded by saying; "Carrie, I’m so sorry to hear about that. Yes of course please do whatever you need to and allow me to reimburse you for it." We got 2 Home Defense gallon sprays and also a grill since there was no grill. They reimburse for those items. We sprayed from day one till our departure and the roaches kept coming out. It was so bad that my cousin and his dog left after the second day due to a roach was crawling in his bed. I sent pictures/videos, I contacted the owners asking for half of our money back to compensate for our horrible experience and they would not compensate due to the 4 out of 5 people stayed. I reached out to Vrbo Customer Service Support (what a joke) and they were no help. Sayam was the first rep that I spoke with and he promised to contact me after 24-48 hours. Sayam never responded. I called after three days and spoke with Vincent and again he never responded and he claimed the case was being escalated to the "Relevant Team." They never responded. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE RUN!!

What a pitiful guest. As we delivered the grill to this guest, we saw the three dogs. As we are pet friendly and we do allow this, we informed the scheming guest that pet fees needed to be paid. Her embarrassment at having been caught attempting to defraud the host is what has caused this false and fake review!

Beachfront Home

First off, if you want to be on the beach, you cannot be any closer! Walk out the door, turn left and you are almost on the beach. The downside - this is an older house that has not had much in the way of updates. Good things - great parking. The living area is great. It is open with good seating, new TV. There are only 2 small bathrooms, not updated, one without electric outlets. The master has a great view of the beach, but it and the bedroom next to it are very cool compared to the living area (we visited in winter). There are other minor issues - the light fixture in the dining room had only 1 of 3 bulbs working with none in the house to replace them (the property manager did offer to come over and replace them very quickly when we mentioned it). The dishwasher doesn’t fit well in the cabinet space in the kitchen. It requires some manipulation to open or close the door. In short, great location for beach access in a nice, quiet area. Great gathering area. But an outdated home with minor annoyances throughout.

Thank you for your comments. I wish you had informed us in detail of the "minor annoyances" that you mentioned here. We would have loved to have cured them for you or the next guest. We did replace the burned out bulbs, and will address the dishwasher. The home is rustic and as we mention in the listing, it was built in the 50's. We are so glad that you enjoyed being so close to the beach!!

Rustic, comfortable bay getaway

We had an enjoyable stay for a long weekend. While listed as rustic, we felt dated would be a better description. As well as noting that there were many cosmetic repairs to be done. Broken windows fixed with duct tape, broken fridge drawers fixed with various kinds of tape. Trim pieces falling off the baseboard heaters. In general the house was clean (floors, surfaces, baths and kitchen) however we did notice dust/dirt covering light bulbs and fixtures. We did have some trouble keeping the master bedroom warm on a cold windy night because of the air coming in around the window a/c unit but some towels shoved around it helped some. Beautiful deck off the back with a wonderful view. Just disappointed that there was no seating out there to really enjoy it. While listed as family friendly - I would have felt uncomfortable having my toddlers with us due to the number of "broken" things they could get into and damage further. Overall we had a lovely time, the owner gave excellent check in instructions via a message, and had excellent instructions printed at the house for amenities and checking out. The house fit us all very well - no shortage of bed space, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Water was lovely but home needs repairs! Home is not safe- fire in basement from faulty electrical

We rented this property for 2 weeks. We plan a summer trip every year, after looking at numerous properties and units we decided on this one as the reviews seemed pretty positive. Mind you we also paid in full a year in advance. We arrived saturday afternoon and upon first inspection we realized the home desperately needed repairs. It was listed as a handicapped friendly home but the door has no railing, and there was also a small flight of stairs to use the bathroom and showers. The showers were dirty and black mold was visable in both showers. The toilet in one bathroom shook when sitting on it. It was very unstable. The sink had no hot water - which was later resolved but it constantly ran and the sink also had a mold mildew issue. The kitchen although outdated was decent with plenty of room to cook and eat. There was not enough silverware for 12- and we had 10. Also pots and pans were minimal we actually went to walmart and purchased pots, pans and silverware. We also used paper plates as there were not enough plates for all of us. Air conditioning units worked well but filters were nasty and not clean as well as the units all had mold and mildew.

Thank you so much for letting us know about these issues. Often times, especially during the busiest time of the year, we are unaware of some of these issues. We will certainly restock the kitchen and make repairs to the sink. And of course we will direct the cleaning crew to handle any such issues concerning the shower and AC's. However, you are completely mistaken as we have never advertised this home as handicapped accessible. Nor did you make any such inquiry concerning this.

Great size and location but keep your suitcase shut

The house is quite roomy and in a great location. Literally steps from a great, quiet beach. The description is quite accurate and it's a nice functional space. Definitely could use a handyman and a weekend to get it into a much better shape but you should already know that from the descriptions and photos. Now for the downside: I had an issue with the house which pushed us to cut our trip short and leave a day early. I messaged the host and they did not reply. I didn't ask for a refund or different accommodation but I am surprised that an issue serious enough for a guest to leave your house didn't warrant a follow up from this host. But until that disappointing end we had a great trip to the beach.

Lovely place for a family vacation

The property is waterfront, but also has a plot a sand the kiddos have to cross before the ocean, which was a huge piece of mind for safety. The property manager is also awesome! Highly recommend for any family looking for a beach vacation!

Loved the home and location!

We loved our stay at the home! Easy access, great location and wonderful home with lots of space! We loved the back deck as well. Nothing fancy, but still a great home! Would recommend :) I would recommend the property manager repair the wooden landing to the beach.

Rustic beach house

Roomy and accommodating

Plenty of room and very comfortable. Family members came to visit us on Christmas Day and enjoyed their visit. They lived in Norfolk so they didn’t stay at the house but easily could have. The house can easily handle 10 plus overnight guests.

Beautiful beach

My family really enjoyed this property. The house was clean. It is not the Hilton. It is a simple, older style house with a lot of room. You could sleep ten in here easily. There was a bassinette which was very helpful for our two year old son. The ocean is only 100 feet away, and it was not crowded. My wife was worried reading a few of the ratings. We found them to be very inaccurate. You can't please everyone. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We are so pleased to be able to offer our beach front property to our fellow travelers. This unit was built in the 1950's and still contains some of the rustic charm of old. We love our older property and hope you will too! Come enjoy and make some wonderful lifelong memories with the family.

• There are NO PARTIES ALLOWED! We are in a quiet, tight-knit, residential community. Our neighbors will not hesitate to report any excessive noise to the Police and to us! Immediate eviction with **NO REFUND** will result if there is a party on the property.
