Curacao winter stay

Property was lovely but aging. It was under new management since we originally booked. We stayed 8 weeks and while the location and views were lovely they had an ant (as in bug) problem. They addressed the issue with pest control, and while it improved they were still there. We kept all edibles in the fridge regardless if they needed to be refrigerated or not to keep the ants at bay. The owner also had renovations ongoing that were supposed to only disturb us for a day, it took seven and as we were leaving, before our luggage was ready he had us move our rental car to the street as he had a dumpster being delivered for more renovations so we had to manhandle all our luggage out to the street. The pool was lovely and we used it for the first month we were there. Then a child defecated in the upper child pool and they then baled it all into the main pool which then became cloudy and green. They just added more chemicals and never emptied it and only ran the skimmer/ filter a few hours a day. We did not swim in it again. That being said, as a pied de terre to explore the island it was well situated.
