Located minutes from Hawera, McArthur Park is a lovely place to find rejuvenation, in a colorful peaceful location with inspiring views of Mt Taranaki amidst bird song. Enjoy a clean, spacious main bedroom with views of Mt Taranaki or a 2nd bedroom with rural views both accessing a kitchen area to enjoy a light breakfast with views of our famous mountain and sheep in the paddock below. Also enjoy your private entrance, guest lounge, sky tv, unlimited internet and a baby grand piano for you to play. For use of the 2nd bedroom there is an extra charge per person of $30.00 per night. Please note this property is not suitable for very young children. Please check our house rules of ages permitted......

We visited NZ for the first time and staying at this cottage was truly the highlight of our entire trip. We had the best sleep in the comfortable, quiet, and spacious bedroom. The windows open to different views, including the host’s beautiful rose garden and the majestic Mount Taranaki. Kelly and Christina were warm, thoughtful, and made us feel completely at home. Highly recommended!

WOW! 5 Stars on everything!

This place was amazing. We loved the view of the volcano and the cleanliness of the accommodations. The host was spectacular. We needed to wash some of our clothes and the host offered to wash them for us. I would definitely recommend this place and wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Outstanding Hospitality

We had a whirlwind trip to Hawera for the Garden Festival. Kelly and Christina’s home was a not only in the perfect location, but it could have been an entrant in the garden festival, a beautiful setting, stunning home. Clean and welcoming! The attention to detail was next level with little treats available to top it off ! Can’t recommend highly enough !

MacArthur Park

Our decision to get away to Hawera was made late, but we booked and were confirmed in just minutes. I thought the House seemed a very good deal on paper, but upon arrival it just got even better. Christina and Kelly were very welcoming and friendly, they showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is beautiful and very well kept, very clean, quiet, comfortable and warm. Easy parking as well. The super king size bed is very comfortable. Plenty of snacks and food available if you need it. Ten out of ten experience and a very comfortable couple of nights.

Lovely country feel stay

This is a lovely quaint property. My cousin and I loved its beautiful views. Not far from the main town. Felt very welcomed from Christina on arrival.

Perfect stay - wish we'd stayed longer

Everything about this stay was lovely. The beds were comfortable, it was easy to find, location was convenient for us, property was gorgeous, views were stunning, quiet area, and PHENOMENAL (can't underscore that enough) hosts. They were so welcoming, kind, and respectful. They shared their property and sheep with us and let us feed them bread, but gave us privacy as well. It was perfect. We truly wish we didn't have somewhere else to be the next night so we could stay longer.

Mountain views

Nice rural aspect of Hawera,yet easy to access town, had beautiful view of the mountain, very comfortable property, continental breakfast supplied, good selection of breakfast foods to choose from, perfect for us visiting family in Hawera, hosts had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, would recommend.

Great location, great house, great hosts

We stayed in Hawera on our way to Wellington. The hosts were great, the house clean and fully accommodated for us to have a great rest. It was such a great, classic farm house that lifted our spirits after staying in motels.
