This beautiful three-bedroom cottage is built from old sandstone from the original settlers to Kangaroo Island. It combines the gorgeous views of Snellings Beach and the surrounding bush. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom which is very handy for larger groups. Two king bedrooms and one twin single bedroom, plenty of space for the family. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs and located so you don't miss what's going on in the rest of the house.
With views of native bush gardens, rolling hills, and the ocean only 150 meters away, you’re sure to start to unwind. Afternoon drinks on your own private deck or a good brandy by the open fire? The choice is yours.

Sleeps a maximum of six guests: 2 x king-bed rooms, 1 room with 2 singles, all rooms with ensuite bathrooms.

Best place on the Island

Quiet, unsurpassed views, 3 bedrooms all with ensuite- luxurious. Would recommend anybody looking for a relaxed holiday.

We loved our time at Settler’s Cottage.The views were absolutely beautiful, over looking the beach and bay. We loved the ambiance and layout of the house, with its cosy fire, the artwork and photos on the walls, and the spacious kitchen that had everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave!

This is a perfect house for families with a beautiful view and a short walk to one of the best beaches on KI. My grandsons were super excited to discover a koala in the tree in the backyard!

Beautiful house and location

A lovely place to stay and the house is very well equipped for home cooking and very comfortable. The view is spectacular and home just up the hill from the beach - comfy couches and beds. Will be back !

Great Location

The cottage, the views, the passing parade of animal and bird life made our stay a very interesting and satisfying experience. The proximity to the Fig Tree Restaurant was an added bonus for us. The cottage has great character balanced with modern facilities. We would not hesitate in booking again!

This renovated house was lovely and in an ideal location with a view towards Snelling Beach and only a short walk to the beach. Quiet, remote spot which we loved, kangaroos around. Very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. For me the main thing that detracted from an otherwise nearly perfect house was the lack of doors on the ensuite bathrooms - the bedroom doors could be locked for privacy but not the ensuites themselves - one had swing doors, the others no doors at all. This means lights and noise can disturb others when in the same bedroom at night. Also I was not comfortable with the fully transparent windows (no blinds) of the two ensuite bathrooms without doors, even though they faced the back of the house where nobody was likely to be. If staying again I might bring something to block them!

Settlers Cottage

A lovely historic house with all the modern comforts and space for a great holiday stay. And in a stunning peaceful setting with wonderful views over Snelling Beach, just afew minutes walk away. Quite idyllic. We had an issue with the new dishwasher which was attended to pronto! Great communication and service. Thank you.
