This neat waterfront cottage gets filled with natural light, and the south-facing windows along the length of the house frame the spectacular views down to Millon Bay. Pohutukawa Cottage is furnished with relaxation and comfort in mind, offering the ideal set-up for easy holiday living.

Wake up each morning in the master bedroom, open up the bi-folding doors out onto the sundeck, and soak up the fresh morning air. Spend your summer days wandering down to the water just at the bottom of the garden.

Equipped with everything you might need, including WIFI, this is the ideal spot for a getaway any time of year. In summer, the sundeck and BBQ are ready to host classic kiwi dinners fresh off the grill. Then come winter, you and family will be able to keep toasty warm inside with the heat pump set to the ideal temperature.

Take the kids down along the water to the local playground; there's no need to pack a picnic when you are this close to home when lunchtime rolls around. The surf beach at Tawharanui is an easy 15-minute drive away, as is the Matakana Village with its weekend markets, shops, and nearby vineyards. There certainly is plenty to explore and enjoy close by!

Guests should be aware that while there is mobile coverage for 2 Degrees and Spark users, it can often be patchy.

There are life-jackets available to use with the kayak(s) but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.

Please note, Bathroom 2 has a toilet and basin located in the utility area inside; there is a seperate outdoor shower.
