Great rental near Stanford

Our family went down to Palo Alto to watch our daughter’s senior recital. So we had parents, aunt and uncles and grandparents, also including our three-year-old niece. Great house for the family together, Cook, and generally hang out. The gardens were spectacular and delightful to walk through into the house.Very good communication from the management. The only issue we had was the barbecue grill was not clean and ready to be grilled on. But they apologized and said they would get it fixed up for the next guest. About a 25 minute walk to campus, but a very quick drive. We also loved all the books on the shelves that you could pick up and read through if you woke up early or stayed up late!

Gorgeous cottage a short walk from Stanford's campus

The house is lovely, comfortable, well furnished, and perfectly situated in a neighborhood of bungalows just a few blocks from Stanford. The host has provisioned the place generously, including a well stocked kitchen and many books and children's games.

Arrival messed up

Great property. Unfortunate beginning to our stay. I had requested (and manager confirmed)an early arrival (a couple of hours early). When we arrived (the door was not locked) residence was trashed--garbage everywhere. Nothing cleaned. No one in site. VRBO did send a cleaning squad as soon as they could and paid for our dinner out while the home was cleaned. But the arrival left a bad impression.

Such a Lovely home the ants moved in


Beautiful , charming property in a nice location but little black ants constantly in kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, everywhere. A real problem. If you set a spoon on the counter while transferring a pot, they came for it. In the morning you would wake up to make coffee and ants would be all over counter and in sink. They were on the carpet and on wood floors too. It had been raining incessantly so may have been the cause. I let manager know so he could remedy for next guests. Beautiful furnishings, well equipped, cozy. We just had to settle in with the ants.

Beautiful classy home

This home is beautiful. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The home had everything we needed to prepare part of Thanksgiving dinner including a KitchenAid mixer and sharp knives (a real rarity in VRBO houses). There was a whole cabinet of kid’s games and books. Highly recommend this home for a peaceful and beautiful stay near Stanford.

Lovely home away from home

We've enjoyed several stays at this wonderful home - very comfortable with plenty of space for working, relaxing, cooking, sleeping. Great location and responsive communication with the property manager. We look forward to a return visit.

Great cozy place

This house was in a great location with a lot of character. Very quiet neighbor and near enough to a variety of shops. It was maintained very well.

Great home, location, and support

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! We were impressed with the attention to detail in the home and with the marvelous library. The location is superb; fun to meet some of the neighbors, too. The team at Arrive and Thrive was very responsive to any requests we had. This was certainly the best VRBO we have ever stayed in.
