Gabriola Small Suite with Hot Tub

Small suite with private entrance, large screen tv, bathroom and porch within minutes to our village and ferry in a residential neighbourhood. Basic dishes, coffee and tea provided. This is the smaller of two suites available. Shared 5 seater outdoor hot tub available. Register any pets before booking and please and message host if bringing a pet before booking. There are three units total in the house and there may be sounds from other units at times.

This is a terrific option for a short stay on Gabriola. The room is smalm (as the listing clearly indicates) but has everything you need. Close the the village but secluded at the end of a cul de sac, with great views of sunsets over Strathcone Park if you stand on tiptoes! Very satisfied!

Unit very small ,do not think it would pass an electrical inspection, has a number of power bars.Can not use the bathroom sink without closing the door. Remote location.

Thank you for your review. To explain the power bars are there for your convenience and also to aid with power surges as Gabriola experiences more power outages than most other places due to the many trees as we live in a forest and the power lines are above ground. It is a 2 minute drive to our village centre and 3 minute drive to our ferry. Gabriola is indeed a rural community which is why most people visit here. The room is equipped with many day to day amenities for your convenience and with that comes limitations for power as each small appliance would require its own breaker and plug as actual kitchens do hence the precautions of using one small appliance at a time as this is a bedroom and not a full home with a kitchen. This is a bedroom with added amenities and luxuries at a lower price point due to its smaller size. Perhaps as advertised my bigger suite would be better suited for you as it has a kitchenette with all the amenities including dishwasher.

The room was clean; the owner was quick to communicate and easy to work with. This space was exactly what we needed for a quick visit. Our only hang up was there was no airflow in the room with the door closed so we had to turn on the heat/fans to make the sheets not feel moist. Minor inconvenience all things considered. Coffee and mini fridge were a welcome perk for sure!

Great little get-away place

I stayed here on a weekend get-away with a girlfriend and it was lovely! The breakfast provided was delicious, and Chrissy was very prompt with her communication. The deck for morning coffee and the hot tub for nightly relaxation was the cherry on top. I would definitely stay here again!

I have lived on beautiful Gabriola Island since 2013. I enjoy the community and getting out into nature on the trails and beaches here. My two children live with me in the home that we built and guests. I am a artist who enjoys working with many mediums.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This property is a small gem. Close to amenities yet the trees give it a private feeling and it is very quiet at night as it is on a no thru road. You will hear birds and possibly see deer. Lots of dog walkers on this road as it is quiet with little traffic.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

You will hear more birds than cars in this neighbourhood, you may even see deer or wild turkeys.
