I had a great time with my family. Oakdene Cottage was a great getaway for our Thanksgiving long weekend. Aside from the amazing amenities which included skewers for marshmallows , shampoo, conditioners, a foosball machine, countless board games, literally dozens of towels on hand and the seven seat jacuzzi - what really blew me away was that this is the cleanliest cottage I've ever visited. By the way, canoes and life jackets were on site and the amazing sunrise and sunsets were breathtaking. Shane and Alan were truly great hosts and we will surely book again.

We had a great stay at this cottage. Everything was as described and the house and outdoor areas are very spacious. The beds were comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. No complaints! Thanks for the wonderful and relaxing time.

Everything was amazing. The view and sunsets were incredible and everything we needed was onsite and clearly labelled. Enjoyed the week immensely with our family - very child friendly! We’ll be back!

The place was fantastic! It was perfect for our needs. We loved, as parents of small children, the fact that there were gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, high chair and a crib! It really helped reduce what we needed to pack. The host is SO quick to respond when you need them!

Great weekend getaway for the family. Shane made the check-in process easy, and was very quick to respond to messages. The house is very clean and well-appointed. Kids loved the foosball table and the swimming mat for the lake when they weren’t fishing off the dock. Hot tub was in very good condition and clean. Everything is quite updated and well maintained. Would visit again when in the area!

Cottage is beautiful and very clean, and well kept. Communication with the host was straightforward and quick. Checkout at 10am was a bit too early given the cost of the cottage. But otherwise it’s a nice place.

Cottage was absolutely fantastic. Never a dull moment, cottage was presented exactly as advertised. Hosts were very communicative. Will definitely be visiting again! Kids had an absolute blast with the paddle board and kayaks - great quiet area of the lake gave them lots of open space to work with. Tons of fish to catch. Grounds were well tended. All wonderful things. 10/10 experience.

This was a great place to stay with two families, kids and dogs. The cottage is very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Lovely and easily accessible neighbourhood. Hot tub and view of the water are excellent. Highly recommend!

The host was great with communicating outside of the generate messages. The space was perfect for 4 adults and 8 kids under 9. We had lots of fun playing outside in the snow, enjoying the fire pit and of course the hot tub.

Loved the cottage, it was extremely clean and had all the extras. The hot tub was a bonus and the family enjoyed the evening soaks! The lake was great for kayaking and canoeing. Lots of amnesties close by. Excellent communication and seamless check in/check out process. We would stay here again.

Well equipped family cottage

We really enjoyed our long weekend; the cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. I was very impressed by the kitchen gear, linens and the new, clean hot tub. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Serenity on the lake

Nice property on the lake, very private (down a deadend road), 10 mins to the nearest town and 20 mins to bigger town/shops. Great sunset view from the hot tub. Our kids really loved the games inside and the campfire.

The whole trip was fantastic. The rooms were incredibly clean and the beds were very comfortable. All of the amenities were well maintained and the kitchen was perfect for our cooking needs. The Jacuzzi was great too! This being my first experience with Vrbo, I was worried about the possibility that my group and I would be at the mercy of overtly vigilant owners but that wasn't the case at all! We all felt incredibly free to enjoy the beautiful property without interruption and the mutual trust between ourselves and the owners was evident. Communication with the owners was seamless and they were quick to provide aid if I needed it. I would strongly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience a worry-free serene, and comfortable cottage getaway and I will definitely be returning in the summer!

Thanksgiving weekend

We had a lovely stay at Oakdene Cottage. We had everything we needed. The cottage was fully equipped and the listing is accurate. Lots of room for our family of 7. The hot tub was wonderful and it was great to wake up to a beautiful view of the lake!

Outstanding cottage!

It is our second time renting this property for an extra long weekend! We enjoyed ourselves immensely at the Oakdene cottage. The cottage is clean and spacious and has many indoor and outdoor amenities to keep our group of 8 entertained. The sunsets were amazing and the tranquility of the lake can't be beaten. Family Getaway

Beautiful cottage right on the water! Three sisters and their small families stayed the weekend to re-connect. Highchair, diaper genie and baby gates were available!! Spent the days on peddle boats, hot tubbing, lovely walks, and playing board games indoors. Would HIGHLIY recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with friends or family.
