Nice location

We enjoyed our stay - though the weather was a bit rainy there’s lots to do within 20-30 minutes of the house. The walk to the beach is a breeze but wear sandals as there are prickly little things on the path that stick in your feet. The house doesn’t have enough toilet paper or paper towels for a week stay with number of people. The rental company wraps bathroom towels and leaves a small welcome pack of trash bags/soaps/etc but we ended up buying our own so we’d have enough. There are some beach chairs and other items like buckets/toys in the front storage room not in great shape but available. You do need to bring beach towels. Overall good space, it’s run by a rental company so we had to buy things like salt/pepper/oil as well for cooking. Loved the views from deck when weather was cooperating!

Fun Getaway

Beautiful house inside. Four couples went for the week. We chose this house because it had 4 bedrooms with king size beds with a bathroom off of, or next to each bedroom. It had an elevator and pool too each room

OBX September Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Acqua! It is the perfect rental for our September group. The location is perfect and it has been very clean and well-kept! Love it!We have a few concerns this year: toilets ran and clogged easily, refrigerator drawer was broken off and not fixed by our arrival, doors to the pool area were very difficult to open and close and came off the track upon opening, kitchen sink faucet sprays water everywhere and we found a few bugs.

This is the first time we didn’t stay at this house for two weeks due to our extended family now excedes the occupancy here. At one time it was either 14 or 16 people. Its now 10. We understand the reason behind it so its no big deal. With that said, we opted for early check in since we had to be out of our other rental in Nags Head at 11. I recieved the text at 1215 that the house ready. A huge bonus even though it was a 1 pm check in. When we arrived. The house was thoroughly cleaned. The pool and hot tub had been serviced. And every thing was up to par with what we have known from years past of this rental. The week was wonderful. The location is superb when you have young kids. Easy beach access. Close proximity to go carts and arcade as well as the Avalon Pier. Unfortunately we won’t be returning next year due to the number of people in our party but I fully anticipate renting again for 2 weeks in 2026. I would highly recommend this house to anyone I know. There are a few cosmetic things that could be addressed but I also know that we come midway maybe closer to the end of peak season so things get damaged through out the season. Again nothing was major enough to even call about. Just a little email to say what i noticed so we wouldn’t be blamed for the damage. The pool guy came twice during the week and was super nice and polite. Especially with the kids.

New pool furniture would be a huge plus there aren’t enough for the amount of guest. The elevator is great for loading in/out and long days:) Air didn’t work on 3rd floor midweek but they had it looked at same day and then it cooled down so we didn’t need. Thank you for a great week and already reserved for next year!

After Christmas Extended Family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was absolutely perfect for our extended family vacation. We had plenty of room with sone to spare! My adult son and his family, my daughter and her family, my sister & husband all joined for a fantastic 10 day getaway from Dec 27 - Jan 6, 2024. We have rented many, many houses in the past 25 years, but this was a first having the bunk room with its own bathroom, plus all other bedrooms were King beds! Loved the elevator, saved our knees and backs! Con: Housekeeping only left 1 bathroom packet on each bed- meaning every couple only received one towel and one wash cloth EACH. That simply isn’t enough...but Target was just two minutes away, luckily! House was in a great location, plenty of places open even the off season, but we enjoyed just being able to connect with our Va family. Hurricane Moe’s never disappoints and this trip, we really loved Max’s Italian restaurant! They were fantastic! Would love to see this property install grab bars in the tile showers as a safety measure.

Wonderful Thanksgiving

Had a fabulous time here. My 85yo mother used the elevator daily and the other five members of my family had so much space. The bath in each bedroom was perfect and the king beds super comfy. The views were amazing from the living room since it was so windy we couldn’t really sit outside due to weather. Great location. Definitely bookmarking this house for future visits.

We had a family reunion to pay respects for my wife Helen who passed away. My brother Joe (Cindy) Delaware, Ohio, my sister Mary (joe) Garrettsville, Ohio, my sister Caroline (Don) Jacksonville, Fl. & myself, Sterling,Va. The Ocean views were fantastic and the weather was perfect no rain. It was 2 weeks of great food lots of small talk and just a great mental health time.Kudos to all

Perfect location!

The house easily accommodated 5 couples, and we had an awesome week. We enjoyed sitting on the front balcony and watching the waves, and the house is just steps away from Awful Arthur's, which has a great gift shop, and the Avalon Pier.

Perfect location & beautiful house

The views from the top deck are beautiful & the location of this house is perfect! It’s walking distance to the pier and beach! And not to mention, Target is right around the corner 😊. Realty company was very prompt in fixing any issues we had (nothing major) & the pool guy was very friendly when he came by to check levels of the pool & hot tub. Definitely recommend this house!

This was a great home for our family trip. Plenty of space and comfortable rooms for everyone. Great view and easy walk/access to the beach. Close to a number of great resteraunts as well as the Wright Brothers Memorial and fun activities for the kids.

Lovely and spacious cottage with great ocean view

Reviewer Comments: The house was very clean and having the linen package is extremely helpful; we would never stay anywhere without it.The pool and hot tub were clean and monitored while we were there.The Wright Memorial, Millers Seafood, and most importantly Kill Devil Hills Custard were all close by.

Acqua august 2022 vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As we found minor issues with the property we reported them. Jets in master bath not working, bunk room bath fixtures loose, broken, knob on kitchen cabinet off, hot tub cover handle torn off, door knob on 2nd floor not attached correctly, screw sticking out of light fixture, pieces missing from gate to pool, privacy fence pieces missing, spindle on railing detached and the dryer was not drying efficiently, We just did not want held accountable for these issues so it seemed like he first couple of days I was contacting the rental company constantly. There was no mop which was supplied to us the 2nd week and it would have been helpful to have glass cleaner to effectively clean the dining table and counter tops. None of these issues dented our great two weeks but when the amount of money we put out I did not expect these minor problems. I’m hoping these issues have been corrected and we will not encounter any more on our return in 2023. Staff were very attentive in acknowledging the problems and had one addressed before we left. The location is exceptional and the house is well equipped to accommodate our family.
