- I always welcome feedback, that constructive and helpful. - Strange, there are other reviews - a few of them, on Airbnb too, that say the pictures of this unit are true, you get what you see. - This family of guests arrived around 5.00pm and seemed to be in a bad mood after travelling all day in the car. The weather that day was overcast, very, very windy, and drizzly and one of their first comments, in a negative way, was that they had left sunshine that morning to come to this. I acknowledged that the weather wasn’t great and that the outlook for the next 24 hrs unfortunately was similar, and that hopefully it would lift for the last part of their stay. After asking how their trip was and how they had been enjoying their holiday, I immediately informed them that the indoor pool was in use as was the sauna and spa but that the outdoor pools were still being renovated and were behind schedule due to constant rain and serious flooding over several months, exacerbated by the shortage of materials post COVID. I apologised for that and acknowledged it was unfortunate, that I couldn’t change that and the rate had been adjusted earlier in consideration. that I did comment that while the weather was as windy as it was the outdoor pools may have been closed in any case. I reiterated the indoor pool was in use. I escorted to the unit, gave them time to examine everything and ask questions, comment, or change their mind. The next day I received a complaint about the moth ball odour, I explained I do use them several times a year as back up to the yearly pest control, as in Qld we have a lot of insects. I said they were welcome to remove them if they wanted to and also offered to refund the last night of their stay if they were inconvenienced or unhappy as their comfort was important. I received no acknowledgement or reply even after asking again about how they were going. - After departing they sent a message complaining about the pools and asking for a discount. I declined the request and reiterated my points above. - I'm grateful to all my guests who have stayed and been wonderful guests, enjoyed their stay, appreciated the apartment, written about their experience and all the little extra touches we try to provide . A sincere thank you.
