This holiday home is the perfect secluded spot for a long weekend or an extended stay. 400 metres of private lakefront access, surrounded by a beautiful Olive Grove within the 18 acre property, with stunning lake views and rolling hills. Relax with friends, or extended family in the peaceful surroundings of Bonnie Doon and Lake Eildon.
The Olive Grove, Lake Eildon, consists of a lovely 4 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home, with a bungalow adjacent to the main property that includes a bathroom and shower. The property sleeps up to 12 guests. Feel free to view the floor plan within the listings photos.
The Olive Grove, Lake Eildon's bedding configurations include: Main property: - Bedroom 1: Queen bed (sleeps 2) - Bedroom 2: Queen bed (sleeps 2) - Bedroom 3: 1 Bunk bed (sleeps 2) - Bedroom 4: 2 Bunk beds (sleeps 4) - 1.5 bathrooms (2 toilets & shower)
The property has roughly 400m of lake frontage, accessible via two access points (aka two private roads). To determine which private road is suitable for you if you are to bring a boat, it will depend on the following variables: your car type; boat type; and the water levels at the time of your stay. In addition, there is a public boat ramp available roughly 2.5km - 3km from the property, which you can use anytime.
Please note some additional information to consider before your stay.. - MINIMUM STAYS: We have a minimum stay between 3 - 7 nights over the Victorian Public Holidays, otherwise all other dates is a minimum of 2 night stays. (3 night minimum: Australia Day, Labour weekend, Kings Birthday, AFL Grand Final weekend // 4 night minimum: Easter, Anzac, Melb Cup weekends // 7 night minimum: Christmas & New Year period)).
- STRICT NOISE RULES: Please read our house rules before you decide to book!
We have a limit of 12 guests max, no extra visitors without prior permission by the host/owner.
- CCTV: We have CCTV set up to external entrances, which comply with all privacy regulations.
- WIFI: Now available. Log in information will be provided just before check in.
- CELLPHONE RECEPTION: Is extremely limited at the property depending on what provider you are with.
- RUBBISH: A rubbish bin & recycling bin are provided empty for your stay. If you have excess rubbish and recycling and cannot be stored in the bins, please either take with you, or you will be charged an additional fee for rubbish disposal.
- CAMPING/TENTS: We do not allow camping or tents at the property.
- OUTDOOR SHOWER: The outdoor shower runs off the bore water.
- HIGH CHAIR: Available on request.
- ACTIVITIES: Table tennis is available.
- CLEANING NOTES: Please return the property to the way it was when you first arrived, otherwise we may be required to take an additional cleaning fee from the security bond. If the BBQ has to be cleaned by the cleaners, $50 will be deducted from your security bond.
- OUTDOOR SPA: The outdoor spa is available on request at an additional cost. The outdoor spa instructions/rules will be provided before check in and are available within the welcome booklet and next to the spa. By paying the additional cost for the outdoor spa before check in, it is understood that you agree to the outdoor spa rules for your duration of stay. We suggest reviewing the temperature of the spa on arrival to ensure it's at the right temperature as per the instructions of use. If you are staying for a long duration, there may be an external service cost to keep the spa clean & usable. If there are any damages due to non adherence to the outdoor spa rules, repair costs will be adequately charged to the guests after check out.
- FIREWOOD: Sufficient firewood is provided at the property for your booked duration. If additional firewood is required for your stay, you can purchase it at an additional cost to you from the local service station within Bonnie Doon or Mansfield.
- DOG POLICY: Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please check in with us before you book to ensure the property is suitable for your dog and to discuss the specifics for your stay (i.e. the property fencing, wildlife, where your dog will sleep, cleaning up after your dog etc etc). If your dog is a bed/bedroom sleeper, then unfortunately this property is not right for you. Please note, there may be additional cleaning fees charged post stay if extra cleaning is required. Maximum of 2 dogs per booking.
- EV CHARGING - Is available on request, so please speak with us before checking in to discuss the additional charge.

Our group found everything had met or exceeded our expectations. We loved the expansive outdoor area with the unbelievable view. Everything was easy in terms of communication with the host and the amenities provided. Would certainly stay again, whether it be with a group of friends or with family as the property would suit multiple/large families too.

Wonderful Family Trip
We stayed at this beautiful property celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay - the house was beautifully presented with excellent amenities ( we particularly loved the outdoor fire / couch area and the magnificent views). Tania was a wonderful and responsive host, making planning very easy. Would stay here again for sure.

Breath taking views
The property is in an amazing location and set up with all the luxuries of home. The property was clean, the supply of linen and crockery was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t fault anything and would happily stay again soon.

best place we have ever stayed
the house was amazing. groups of friends stay here and couldn’t believe how thoughtful and well equipped kitchens etc.. had 2 large fridge so great for large family or group. Cute swings for the kids. outdoor firepit was the highlight and views. tania kept gave us all the info we needed. we have already wanting to book again. thank you so much for letting us stay.

A perfect family holiday
I can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful property. Family of ten (3 generations) met here and we just had the best time. Close enough to Mansfield for shops and the local pub for a lunch. Far enough away to feel like you are truly on holiday. The view is something else! Absolutely spectacular and the wildlife had everyone gaping. There is so much to do at the property and nearby lake that you won’t want to leave. I wholeheartedly recommend The Olive Grove for a very special holiday!

We had the most incredible weekend away with friends at The Olive Grove. I would highly recommend The Olive Grove to anyone looking for a fabulous getaway and would stay again! The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a large group. It was so warm and cozy for winter with the hot tub and indoor and outdoor fires.. The views were amazing. The complete package!
What an amazing home! You guys have thought of every detail to make our MIL's 80th birthday something we will all never forget.
The house has plenty of living space indoors as well as the perfect setup for enjoying the outdoors too. Comfortable beds, and a kitchen with absolutely everything you would possibly need.
Your excellent communication and the way you accommodated our needs were A1👌! The view was the icing on the cake. Thank you for gifting the champagne also, we can't wait to come back ❤️.

This is a reluctant bad review as this could have been an amazing holiday but for a couple of issues that have not been resolved in the appropriate manner.
I booked Olive Grove and stayed with my family - 5 Adults and 9 teenagers for 7 nights from 26/12/21 to 2/1/22
The property itself has amazing views and is set up well.
Unfortunately the bore water that services the bungalow has the most repulsive smell that makes staying in the bungalow impossible. It smells like the sewer and the owners and property manager fail to believe how bad this actually is.
This was pointed out to a neighbour who could not believe the smell, it is absolutely disgusting. 4 teenage girls left due to the smell that put a damper on our holiday.
We had issues with garbage removal that need addressing in the future and we were unlucky to have a water pump seize during our stay costing us 24 hrs with out running water. Unable to shower or use toilet in main house and the smell in the bungalow meant we went without!
The property manager and owners failed to compensate us for the issues and had the audacity to send me an email saying I was unwelcome back at the property in the future.
Having been an owner of a holiday rental I advertised and ran on Stayz for many years I can say that the arrogance of these people is astounding.
Is this property spectacular - yes.
Would I stay again - no
For those staying in the future think carefully in case something goes wrong as the owners believe that they have don’t need to compensate holiday makers when things go wrong.
Terrible customer service and bad business sense.
This is the first bad review I have ever written and do so knowing that I have the high moral ground.

Ours is a beautiful lake side, rural property and we make every effort for our guests to have a wonderful experience.
Our first contact from Matt was on the fifth night of his stay, when the water pump to the house failed. We were able to arrange 20 litres of drinking water to be delivered within the hour. The pump was repaired just after midday the following day. The homeowner was thanked for his prompt efforts, especially being New Years Eve.
Throughout their stay, the guests had the use of the bungalow indoor shower, indoor toilet, and outdoor shower with the water being supplied by bore. These facilities were not affected by the failed pump. The first complaint regarding the bore water was emailed approximately 36 hours after checkout.
We received threats of an unfavourable review & potentially damaging social media if his requests for compensation were not met. Our offer of compensation for the inconvenience of the broken pump was rejected by the guest.
This is the property’s fifth summer as a holiday rental. The first summer under new management. Of all the property reviews, most being 5-star, the bore water and rubbish removal has never been mentioned as an issue.
We believe a reasonable person would have appreciated the efforts made in a timely matter to solve the water pump issue.
This guest (Matt) will not be welcome back and we would not recommend him to other hosts.
