The air-conditioned chalet is located in breathtaking Scotch Creek, British Columbia, Canada, only 2 min walk to the beautiful Shuswap Lake beach. This vacation rental perfect for families and groups boasts over 3000 sq. ft. of open concept space, 1000 sq. ft. of sundeck, 12-person hot tub and a 400 sq. ft. loft.

This home is the place to make memories for your family holidays and special gatherings. Fun, play, laughter, and relaxation await you.

The space
Fully furnished log post and beam chalet with 4 large bedrooms and a spacious loft will accommodate even the largest of families, now with AC to withstand even the warmest of summers. Living room with large screen tv, loft space for retro video games or quiet moments, 2nd floor bar, and large backyard to play games or make a campfire are ready no matter your definition of vacation. The driveway has plenty of parking for your boat, trailer and vehicles.

LOCATION
Centrally located only minutes away from Captains Village Marina, Super-Valu, Liquor Store, Home Hardware, Family Fun Centre, Shuswap Hub Restaurant, and Shuswap Lake Provincial Park. A quiet beach is only 2 min walk away.

Fantastic Family Fun
The "cabin" that 15 of us stayed in at Scotch Creek was the best accommodation we have encountered in our 7 years of family gatherings. It was beautifully laid out to accommodate different age groups and activities (board games, jigsaw puzzle, video games, reading, hide and seek!). The kitchen and linen supplies were above and beyond expectations. Proximity to the lake, availability of rentals, delightful decks and the huge hot tub also added to the desirability of the property. The only problem - if too many people know how spectacular this property is, there won't be room for us to return.

Scotch Creek Family Vacation/Reunion
The location close to the beach is great, and the size of the house is good for accommodating a large group. Lots of parking. Some of the amenities are top notch ie the dishwasher and the barbeques. Lots of fridges, 2 in the house and 2 small ones on the side patio. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes but lacking some larger cookware. Beds were comfortable and nice bedding. The arcade game was a big hit with our grandkids. No air conditioning so it was warm, especially in the evening and night. Lots of fans so that helped. The house, patios and deck are great besides needing a bit of maintenance ie stain, but we were a bit dissapponted in the yard and firepit area- it wasn't as nice as in the pictures. The back deck is shaded by trees so that was awesome, and the patio lights are a nice touch. We almost didn't get to use the hot tub/swim spa as there was an issue with the filtering when we got there. The host called the spa company to come the next day and then it was going to be Tuesday, then ended up they didn't come until after we left on Friday. Luckily we own one and were able to get the water inhabitable for the 2nd half of our stay. This amenity was important to us, as we think it would be to a lot of guests. Overall our family had a great time. Thank you to our host Jen for being flexible to our needs and helping to make this a memorable and enjoyable holiday!

Just what we needed
House very neat and clean. Plenty of kitchen utensils and dishes. Great hot tub. We really appreciated an easy 2 minute walk to step into the lake

In the last dozen years, we have travelled the globe and are continually in search of the perfect spot to celebrate our milestones and to bring our larger chosen family together. When we find these spots, some of our most treasured memories are created.

In 2020, when the world was a scary and restricted place, we happened upon a listing for a chalet in Scotch Creek. It was everything we ever would have looked for in a family vacation property - a stunning timber beam home that was warm and inviting, a wraparound patio for the largest meals, a magical backyard with fire pit for late night s'mores, and a two minute walk to the warmth of Shuswap Lake. Our passion for the possibilities ran wild! Would we let a pandemic stop us? Absolutely not. We took a leap and have started creating what we hope will be your dream family vacation location. We can't wait to have you join us.

The house itself is stunning - open concept, warm timber beams, large and inviting. The rooms are very spacious and there are plenty of spots to connect with a few from your group. The backyard is magical - lights, trees, and an extra large hot tub. With the lake only two minutes away, it doesn't get much better.
