Great location

This condo has a wonderful lanai and great ocean view. It is clean, but could benefit from some upgrades.

Kamaole Sands #1-302

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was spectacular of the ocean, the grounds, the fountains, and the pool. Saw everything from the balcony. Staff was wonderful. The unit was in a great location. The living room was nice and comfortable. The kitchen stocked with accessories, but the silverware was undesirable. The bed was very comfortable but the mattress cover is too large and the sheets/blankets kept shifting all night. The major issue with that unit is the bedroom window had previously been damaged on the bottom section. The owners/maintenance had placed a piece of wood in the window so nothing could access the unit through that large section. The wood piece does not cover the entire damaged/broken area, so you hear everything outside through the window and the wind blows through the uncovered space. Approximately 2 inches x 24 inches open space. That issue should be repaired. We have stayed at Kamaole Sands 3 times now, and we will stay there again. Mahalo

Nine day stay during Thanksgiving 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The kitchen, living room/dining area and lanai were all excellent. The lanai was a bit small though. Because of the usual fresh breeze we never had to use the AC during the day.BUT:The bedroom was small, cramped and stuffy. The window AC had been removed and the wholly inadequate "solution" to the stuffiness and lack of air flow was a cheap box floor fan.We were unable to sleep in the bedroom and had to make use of the pullout couch. This made our stay a less than enjoyable night time experience. The ceiling fan above the pullout made an annoying noise and wasn't fixed, although I asked for it to be looked at.Also, one day the toilet tank overflowed. A plumber came out and remedied that situation.I booked at the Kamaole Sands this year because I enjoyed my stay in 2020 on the 4th floor 2 BR condo. The master bedroom was upstairs, airy and perfect plenty of airflow, the ceiling fan was perfect.Spend a little more, book the two bedroom and put your mother-in-law in the downstairs BR.

Amazing Stay in Maui

Reviewer Comments: The condo that we occupied for 8 nights in Maui had the most amazing view of both the ocean and the sunrises over the Haleakalā volcano.If there is one suggestions that I could make for this condo, it would be to provide additional beach and bath towels, as well as beach chairs. Unit is rated for 4 persons and there are only two each of the above available for use.

Reviewer Comments: Vacation is awesome Maui is always been beautiful, unfortunately the condo was not kept up , broken tiles broken microwave broken lamps ,old refrigerator either stuff got warm or frozen , the worst part was the check in and the poor customer service at the “Maui condo agency”The Kameole sands is gorgeous and we have stayed that complex 6 times love it , I would never again book through a 3rd party like Maui condo I would book directly with kameole sands.

I knew the general property from previous trips. This unit was tidy and pleasant. I liked having a/c too. Quick walk to the water. And nice view. I’d return in the future.

September 2019 Stay

We love the location of this property. Close proximity to different eateries and beaches, within walking distance. The grounds and gardens are loving maintained and beautiful. The view from the lanai is stellar. A couple of notes regarding the contents of the condo. There are beach towels. But unfortunately no break proof (plastic) cups for the pool area. Also only two pieces of Tupperware. A few more pieces would be great for picnics, road trips, left overs. The towels have seen there life and should be replaced, from kitchen to bath. A big bonus, the pull out couch is comfortable! There are backpack lawn chairs X 2. Beach umbrella, foam noodles and two boogie boards. And a small cooler, for perhaps a six pack. Overall we totally recommend staying here.

All we needed... But...

We had a wonderful stay in this condo in Kehei. Booking, check in and check out were all seemless. The place itself was dated but clean. You couldn't ask for a better location, steps to a wonderful beach and close to restaurants and shopping. There are just a couple of things that we would suggest to make this place even better. To start with, the booking app suggested a packing list that included beach towels among other things while the suite ad itself promised no "beach accessories" necessitating larger suitcases etc to pack. We stopped at Costco on the way to the condo and bought beach stuff too only to arrive at the condo to find tons of towels, boogie boards, coolers, chairs etc. It would be great if it was more clear what was available in the condo. Conversely, there was no sugar for coffee and no tissue while these little things were promised. Like others, our main complaint was the bed. Not only was it worn and old with major depressions that made it impossibly uncomfortable but the sheets actually had large tears in them. All in all this place wasn't horrible and with some minor changes could easily be just fine.

Kamaole Sands Fantastic property, this unit not so great

We recently stayed at Kamaole Sands (Dec 20 2018 -Jan 3 2019), it is a fantastic property; the grounds, staff, and location are excellent and we would not hesitate to stay there again However, the bed was terrible, we couldn't sleep on it and after 3 nights moved to the pull out couch. I did not pay for a one bedroom condo to have to pull out and make a sofa bed each night. For the price we paid per night you would expect a bed that we could sleep on. The springs were broken, which is evident when looking at the bed.(I have taken photos and will be sending them to Kamaole Sands and the management company) To rectify the broken bed they have put a cheap foamy on top. For the price we paid they could have bought a mattress at Costco or Walmart. I recognize that each unit is individually owned and different units have different features. I do not require granite counter tops in a kitchen on a vacation, but a decent sleep for 14 nights is a pretty standard request. When I booked the condo in March 2018 there were no reviews that I could find on the unit. So in future, I will only book units with reviews and not book through the property management company again if this is the standard of units they have. Again Kamaole Sands is a fantastic property and will definitely stay there again, just not this unit

Awsome!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful condo for one week, it was wonderful. We had everything we needed for the beach, especially loved the umbrella and beach chairs! We really appreciated having the washer & dryer in the condo. It was an amazing trip, we hope to come back and enjoy the amazing view from this lanai. thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

the view was better than we expected

great location, view of the ocean and lovely grounds. The unit is very comfortable, we had everything we needed. The air conditioner in the living area works well, and even though we didn't have it in the bedroom, the ceiling fan and open window made it comfortable. And with front and back doors open, you get a great breeze. I would stay here again! Thanks!
