We had a great labor day weekend! The house was clean, pet friendly and a close drive to all our favorite spots. Loved being out in the country. It was very private and heard the faint sound of the neighbors rooster in the morning. The crickets and grasshoppers were in full swing, but we didn't mind them and knew that was just part of the country experience! We would stay again!

We liked the property, we stayed there 2 years ago. The only thing I would recommend is to replace the mattresses and pillows. All beds were very uncomfortable and with staying 4 nights it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Beautiful and quiet setting for our family. The home had everything needed, including space for our 2 older teens, 21 yr old child and ourselves. The kitchen had all the necessary items for cooking meals, and plenty of space to spread out in the home for relaxing time. The location was great with respect to getting to all parts of Door County easily. The only area of needed improvement would the actual master bed, very disappointing considering it is the main sleeping for adults (and only sleeping room on main floor). The mattress is terribly uncomfortable and a big miss in my opinion. Hard to feel rested when you are unable to get a good night's sleep.

Lovely farm house

We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful property. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of space for the family. Loved the screened in porch. It was fun reading about the history of the home as well.

Friends getaway

Long time friends together for a getaway to your old farm retreat.We enjoyed the charm of the old farmhouse. We thought the location was central to the various Door county attractions. We enjoyed all the birds and saw some deer. All in all we enjoyed a relaxing weekend.

Lovely location and space!

Fabulous location for easy access to boat launches and other areas in the peninsula for Fourth of July festivities. Quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of towns, but were able to see fireworks from the patio! Great weather our whole trip - a bit on the warm side luckily there were fans as there is no a.c. Loved that there was laundry on site and the hosts were quick with any responses needed! Hope to make this an annual adventure!!

Very comfortable

Plenty of room to hang out in living room. Plenty of room to cook with mom. Very quiet spot to relax and enjoy the stars. We thought it was perfect.

Annual Door County Trip 2023

It was clean and comfy and quiet and relaxing. The only issue was that the lightpole on the property was not working so it was very dark at night.

Mini honeymoon in beautiful door county

A country farmhouse experience, grounds and building were clean - aside from some typical farm flys. Very nice central location in door county made getting to everything a blast and loved how dog friendly the very responsive hosts were. Only note - no AC but we new that going in

Quiet Country Escape

The photos of this place don’t do it justice! If you are looking for a spacious, peaceful country retreat a little off the beaten path, this is for you! The home was charming and we appreciated learning about the history of the farm. We live in a farmhouse, so we are used to the character of homes of this age (I believe the floors on the second floor are original -very cool). The home was very clean and there is a lot of outdoor space, including a fire pit and grill. We plan to stay again next year. Thank you!

Quiet Country Getaway

This older farmhouse has been renovated inside and has plenty of room for a group of 8, if people are willing to share beds. The surrounding property is fairly well maintained, and provides a nice country view. We were able to gather in the evenings for cards and prepare meals in the large kitchen. With a group of 8, getting ready in the mornings might be a challenge with (2) small bathrooms. but we never ran out of hot water and were able to get it done. Overall was a good experience.

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The home was big enough for a family of 6. The home was in the quiet countryside as promised and there was no light pollution at night, making for nice evenings viewing the stars. The screened in porch was a highlight. There was no AC, but box fans were provided which were sufficient for a weekend in the high 70s. There are tons of windows to let fresh air in and there was always a good breeze. The home also had everything that we needed, and the host was very responsive to questions leading up to our stay. We did find the home to be in need of extra cleaning when we arrived. There were a significant amount of cobwebs, dead bugs, and live spiders and flys and ants in the house when we got there. Some of this could of course be expected, being in the country on a farm in a house that isn’t occupied 100% of the time, but I was really surprised to see the amount of cobwebs with dead bugs in the corners in multiple rooms and in the window sills. They had clearly been there a long time. And the box fans were very dusty and dirty as well. We did let the host know so this could be addressed for future stays. Everything else about the home including the linens and dishes, counters, and bathroom surfaces were absolutely clean.

Worst Booking Ever

The property was not clean, there where moths, flies and spiders. The pots and pans were rusty. The building had rotting window frames and window sills. We did not stay any nights there. We booked a hotel 40 miles away rather than stay a single night there. This listing should be taken off-line. In my view it’s inhabitable!

We are sorry about the inconvenience you experienced with bugs in the home and we have ongoing pest control monitoring the property. We work with a professional cleaning company that cleans the home before each guest's arrival. We also live 15 minutes away from the property and inspect the cleaning regularly. - We inspected the pots and pans after your department and we did not notice any rust in any of them. We will continuously check them and replace them if needed. We go above and beyond for our guests and we are confident future guests will have excellent stays!

Not too bad

The house was fine but could have been a little cleaner. Spices in the cupboard dated 1991. We just didn't use. There is NO air, only fans. If it is a hot week, it would have been a huge problem for us as rooms are mostly upstairs. I think this should be noted somewhere. Otherwise it was a nice old farm house.

We have tried to achieve that feel in our renovations and are always delighted when our guests "get" that. - Thank you for letting us know about the spices in the cupboard, we will check them out on our next visit. Sometimes guests leave them and we don't always know if they are up to date. - We do not list AC as one of the amenities and we do provide our guests with fans. Very nice farmhouse

We really enjoyed our time at the farmhouse. The property was nice and clean. You could tell it was an older home as they are just by nature a bit tougher to keep every nook and cranny clean but it was more than livable. The story of the farmhouse was very cool and the grounds outside were perfect for our little ones to run and play. The bonfire pit was wonderful as was the screened in porch. The bedrooms were cute and clean as well. It wasn’t hot when we stayed so the lack of AC wasn’t an issue. Only things that would be great to add would be darkening shades for the bedrooms as some of the windows have nothing on them which makes for some very early mornings, especially with little ones. And it would have been helpful to have hand soap in each of the bathrooms as we had to go out and buy some. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay and our family had a very fun time! Thanks again for everything!
