Waking up and seeing that view every morning. There's really nothing like it. You're perched atop a cliff, nothing in front of you to impede the vista, gazing out to the north-east over the Pacific Ocean. The light is magical at every time of day, but sunrise is extra special, with the shadows lengthening as the sun pops out over the distant horizon. The whole apartment is designed to take advantage of the setting, with floor-to-ceiling windows (with electric blinds) and a wraparound entertaining terrace.

What we love
Looking out the windows, you might be forgiven for thinking you're in a small coastal town. Good thing you're not. Coogee has so much to offer. First on your itinerary should be a swim at Wylie's Baths, just across the park. These old school ocean baths are one of Sydney's best kept secrets. From there, wander down the beach, grab a coffee and hit Coogee Bay Road for any number of hip dining and nightlife options. There's something for everyone here.
