Stoke the slow combustion woodfire for the cooler nights. Set in a tranquil private rural landscape enjoy abundant wildlife, kangaroos in the garden, echidnas and birds. No neighbours. Walk down to the white sands of unspoilt Carrickalinga Beach or into the quaint town of Normanville for a barista coffee, local food and markets. on the Village Green. Dogs welcome to join guests for a stay too. Paddocks available for horse enthusiasts next to the house, so bring your horse and ride on Normanville Beach. Dine at the nearby Forktree Brewery on the next hilltop or hike renown Deep Creek Conservation Park. Victor Harbor is 30 minutes away as is Cape Jervis to jump on the Kangaroo Island ferry. Discover Rapid Bay and Second Valley, home to the Leafy Sea Dragon.

We had a lovely long weekend getaway with family. The view is divine and we enjoyed bird and kangaroo watching whilst staying at Currolga. Thank you to Olga and James for their hospitality.

Lovely stay

We had a really lovely stay here. The view is stunning with everything you’ll need. Kids loved the horses and all the room to run around. Felt like a real country escape.

Thanks so much Amy ! The horses loved you all and the attention ! The great outdoors on our acreage is the best thing for kids usually followed by a good night's sleep. It's just such a quiet spot that you can hear the wind vibrate the pine needles on the Sheoaks - hope you got a bit of a sleep-in and the kids are keen to summon up the horses and donkey another time.

Cozy and comfortable

Beautiful views from the top.of the hill. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The house has all the amenities and beds are very comfortable too. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Roo's and Views

Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing. The sunsets certainly didn't disappoint, and the local wildlife was an added bonus. Carickalinga beach has to be one of the best around with plenty of other activities also near by. Check in was seamless and the cottage had everything we needed.

Very peaceful - beautiful view

Lovely stay, excellent communication, absolutely stunning view making for a very peaceful few days . Nice to have linen and towels provided - everything very well appointed. Our dog also enjoyed exploring the yard . Recommended .

Great view

Tranquil location with amazing view. Some maintenance and attention to furnishings required eg couch with throw over it to cover peeling vinyl, sliding door hard to open and shut. Overall lovely stay.

Thanks Sue for bringing the sliding door to our attention. The door is fixed and slides fully open beautifully. Something caught it and living in the country on acreage there is always something ! Its our first experience with a leather look couch, sand, sea and salt. Thinking of the planet the couch will be recovered rather than landfill. We hope you also enjoyed the sunny light-filled rooms, quality white linen and fluffy towels all our guests have loved in addition to the serenity and sea views. Happy continuation of your travels.

Lovely views

The property is well situated with a lovely view. The property is clean & tidy & has everything you could need for a short break. You may need a 4WD in bad weather though as the dirt road leading into the property is steep & had deep ruts in it when we were there.

Thanks CG. Everyone loves the seaviews, nature, privacy and tranquility of the acreage. Best spot in the world for a sunset BBQ ! The relenting rainstorms in SA have also run down Davey Rd which is a council owned dirt no thru road. It is not marked by council as requiring a 4WD, nor unsafe, nor steep. However walking it may leave you catching your breath especially during simultaneous conversation at my age ! We've applied some TLC to the road on our side of the gate. I'm sure the council will be there soon to smooth it over when we can see an end to all this damaging weather and they work down their priority list. I zip up and down constantly with my Toyota Prius Hybrid even now. Toyotas are such good cars. Hope to see you again.

Loved the Currolga

We loved every minute of our stay at Currolga.It has the most stunning ocean views and the sunsets are amazing! Glad we had binoculars to watch the passing ships, yachts and even some dolphins! Everything you need is in the home and we can't wait to return in winter to enjoy the wood fire. And wandering over to the paddocks to see/feed Chester, the gorgeous resident horse, was just lovely. Will definitely return, we missed the quietness as soon as we drove away. Thanks Olga

5th Wedding Anniversary Getaway

I cannot praise Olga the property host enough. My wife had no idea we were spending a weekend away fir uou wedding anniversary. Olga meet with the florist at the property to have the flowers ready before we arrived. To my surprise Olga had left a beautiful greeting message and complimentary bottle of sparkling to help us celebrate The property has beautiful views of Carrickalinga and the ocean and is very private. Beautiful warm fire for the cold night. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning again ❤️❤️❤️

Tranquil beauty with seaviews and dog friendly

The property's location allows you to enjoy the breaktaking seaviews while having peace of mind that your furbaby is safe. Peaceful and quiet location close to nature and stone throw away from amenities. Owner was accomadating to our needs aloowing us an early checkin. Property well equipped and had everything you would need for your stay. The bbq was clean and ready for use. Property was clean and tidy. Beds and bed linen were comfortable. Bonus was the beautiful fireplace with complimentary fire wood. Thank you for a memorastay Olga, we will definitely book again. Encourage anyone looking for a quiet, ocean view property that is pet friendly to book!
