Nestled in the stunning countryside of New Zealand, this retreat boasts breathtaking scenery and friendly animals, creating an idyllic, peaceful escape. Enjoy a tranquil night's rest in this serene environment.
Conveniently located just 20.6km from Christchurch airport, 22km from Christchurch Central, and 66.5km from the picturesque town of Akaroa, this retreat provides easy access to nearby attractions. For those with business or family in Lincoln, a mere 2.5km away.

Welcome to Blackbird Cottage, situated at the front of our breathtaking rural property. This charming abode is separate from our main house and Willow Cottage, boasting its own entrance, driveway, and off-street parking. We are thrilled to welcome your furry friends and provide a secure, fenced area for them to frolic in. Please let us know about your pet by ticking the pet box, as we do charge a small fee per stay, and your pet must feel at ease around our livestock.

Although petite, Blackbird Cottage is fully equipped with a complete kitchen, featuring a fridge, gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. (Under the kitchen sink is where we store your laundry liquid )We offer plunger coffee, a selection of organic teas, and snacks to enhance your stay.

The master bedroom is separated from the kitchen/living area by a charming barn door. Our ensuite boasts a high-pressure shower and a heated towel rail for cooler months. Our goal is to ensure your comfort, which is why we provide a heat pump/air con unit in the living area, an electric heater in the bedroom, electric blankets, and a Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay Single Room Ventilation System that offers energy recovery ventilation.

You'll discover ample storage for your luggage and belongings to keep your space tidy and uncluttered. You are welcome to store your bikes, dog crates, suitcases, and more in our secure storage shed.

Blackbird Cottage is exquisitely decorated to a high standard, providing warmth, comfort, and stunning views of the evening sunset. It is a serene and peaceful haven that you'll fall in love with.

Brilliant use of Space
Not only is Blackbird well designed it is nicely decorated. Although not a large cottage it was cozy and met our needs.

Beautiful Home
We arrived in the middle of a severe wind event and our hosts welcomed us and booked us in early to keep us safe. This little house is honestly beautiful, comfortable and had everything we could possibly want. I cant thank the hosts enough for welcoming us to this safe home in a storm.

Annoyed as been hit with a bill for a dog that we identified at time of booking, all other places we did this there was no additional bill but this one seemed to think it was a surpruise we had a dog even though we booked it in and then wanted $70 for a broken plate and the dog
