Our place is close to Kaiapoi. You’ll love our place because it has plenty of room, good heating / cooling, well-equipped kitchen, gas hot water with great pressure, three luxury mattresses for a perfect sleep and rural views out the back. It is good for couples and families (with kids). It's on a 10-acre established section with lots of space to explore.

The Den has a 55 inch smart TV with Sky satellite TV, DVD player and Netflix if you have an account. It has super-fast Fibre Internet and WiFi.

Note that there is an external floodlight/security camera facing the driveway. If you would like that disabled for your stay, please let me know.

** 100% refund if cancelled by the day before check-in. VRBO does not have this option but I can approve the refund if your plans change. Please let me know ASAP though, so someone else gets a chance to rent it **

We had a lovely stay at Simon's place (3 adult women). It had everything we needed - warmth, comfy beds, well stocked, fresh air, sunshine and quiet. Everything is as described, and much better. It's a really comfy stay, and well worth it. We hope to return.

Great farmhouse retreat the whole family can enjoy!

Everything you need is there to make your stay memorable. Location to Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Christchurch and surrounds perfect. Airport only 17 mins away. Us Ozzie's found it a bit cold around April with Temps around 3⁰C at night and 15⁰C in the daytime. After we worked out the generous heating appliances supplied in the house. All was fine. Although an electric blanket or two would have not gone amiss.

Delightful cottage

We love having our getaways at this cottage. It is always tidy and clean. It has lots of lovely touches that makes it feel like you are in your home: comfortable chairs, books, well-supplied kitchen. I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage

We had a lovely getaway here, 4 friends just wanting to relax together. The house was well taken care of, comfortable bed, good showers, well equipped kitchen and comfortable couches in the living rooms. It felt like a home.

Gorgeous and welcoming house - perfect bbq spot

Thank you for having us to stay at your beautiful house and gardens, especially with the cherry blossoms coming out. It was so homely and a perfect place to host a engagement bbq. Amazing kitchen & bbq facilities, all very well equipped. It was a lovely place to unwind. The location was great, clost to Chch and only 10 mins out of Rangiora & Kaiapoi. But it really felt like a slice of tranquil countryside.

Rural Retreat

Fabulous House

We loved staying at Simon's house. It is peaceful and quiet with absolutely everything you need. the beds are comfortable and there really isn't anything that hasn't been thought of. This is the second time we have stayed and both times loved it. It is handy to Christchurch as well as Rangiora. It is beautiful sitting outside as well as watching the rabbit in the morning.

Great stay!

We loved our stay at this cozy home. Loved how close it is to Christchurch but far enough to have a private feel. It’s also not a far drive from some beaches which we really enjoyed. Everything worked great for us while staying at the house and it had everything we needed. The house has an older feel to it with modern touches which we thought was neat. Would definitely recommend the house if you’re looking for a place to stay near Christchurch!

Ohoka Retreat

We needed to leave the city over Guy Fawkes 2-7 november. We booked this lovely looking house in the country 45min; drive from our home. The house suited our needs for bedrooms, it was warm (cool weather happened),well appointed kitchen as we were totally self catering, a great selection of the owner's books, good laundry, lovely kitchen dining, and 2 lounges.
