Cactus Flower Cottage - une charmante retraite tranquille avec vue sur l'océan

Cactus Flower Cottage est un charmant chalet 1 chambre niché dans Fish Bay, l'un des St. Le quartier le plus calme de John. Construit au milieu de ruines vieilles de 200 ans encore visibles sur la propriété. Profitez de la papaye fraîche, de la noix de coco et d'autres fruits des arbres dans les jardins en saison. À 10 minutes de route de Cruz Bay sur des routes pavées. Le chalet comprend une cuisine complète, une terrasse couverte, une douche extérieure privée en pierre indigène, un aménagement paysager établi, la climatisation dans la chambre, la télévision par câble, Internet haut débit, de l'eau chaude solaire, une vue sur l'eau de Fish Bay et de la mer des Caraïbes. Les clients du chalet ont la pleine utilisation de la piscine, qui est adjacente à la maison principale. L'accès à la plage de North Shore est à 5-10 minutes en voiture. Les plages de la rive sud, les sites de ruines historiques et les sentiers du parc national sont accessibles à pied. La location de véhicule est fortement recommandée. Le service de taxi est également facile.

We had a fantastic stay in the cactus flower cottage in the Fish Bay area—such a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by lush tropical landscape. The property itself was wonderful, especially the dark and cool bedroom, which made it so comfortable to relax and get a great night’s sleep. The deck was absolutely beautiful and a perfect spot to unwind and take in the surroundings. We also really appreciated having access to a washer and dryer—it made the stay even more convenient. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we would definitely come back

Air conditioning in the bedroom was nice and cool. It was quite warm in the living room during the day even with all fans going. I really liked the porch to sit on. Bed nice and comfortable. When sitting outside make sure to use bug spray lots of mosquitoes. Loved the hot tub. Pool was very small. Convenient to town. Loved the sweet and friendly cat! Would stay again.

Tina and Joe have created a peaceful nook that has everything you need plus extras to enjoy the island! We loaded up our jeep everyday with nice beach chairs and a cooler they have at the cottage and enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor shower to rinse off the day! Porch was amazing for coffee and wine time!! Very clean, no problems checking in or out, they have a generator too but no power issues while we were there . Hope we get to come back! Tina sent spot on helpful tips on how to navigate things from taxis to groceries which made traveling easier for our first trip. Many thanks for a great stay!!

We recently stayed at this charming cottage and had a wonderful experience. This is our third stay on this property. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and welcomed. This cottage is beautifully maintained, cozy and thoughtfully decorated. The living area is warm and inviting -perfect for unwinding in the evenings as is the porch area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed making it easy to prepare meals. The bedroom is comfortable & quiet and we slept well. Everything was spotlessly, clean and well organized. We especially appreciated the peaceful outdoor space with all of the unique plants of the area. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch with the beautiful view. It really felt like a private retreat away from the noise of every day life back in New Hampshire. Tina and Joe are friendly and responsive. They have attention to detail and made sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, this is the perfect getaway and we will happily return next year. Highly recommend this place to others.

Excellent Stay

We had the most wonderful time on island and the stay at this cottage was perfect. Excellent location. Easy drive from Cruz Bay. No rough roads or crazy parking! Cottage had everything we needed and the AC in the bedroom was fantastic! We highly recommend!

St John’s adventure

Tina was very helpful and communicative. Cactus Flower was a wonderful place for us as we explored the island. She had beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear and even a cooler we could use during our stay. Our last day we enjoyed the lovely pool and hot tub as well. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very nice and allowed for restful sleep after full days of hiking and swimming. Thank you for opening up your bungalow to us!

Wonderful place to stay on St. John!

We loved staying at Cactus Flower! It’s in a great location tucked in the hills just a few minutes away from Cruz Bay, and easy access to the North Shore beaches. The cottage is charming, peaceful and comfy—the hosts have provided everything you could need. Highly recommend!

Truly an amazing cottage in paradise

I'm so glad I found this gem on Vrbo. My boyfriend and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and perfectly located. We truly felt like we were in paradise! The hosts where so kind and accommodating. We can't wait to come back!

This cottage is the perfect place for a couple.We love the outdoor shower,the kitchen has everything we needed,Joe and Tina are excellent hosts. Quite and peaceful.

A hidden gem.

Great cottage for a couple with access to a refreshing pool and nice hot tub for starry nights. Easy access with paved roads and a quiet neighborhood made it a relaxing stay. Quick drive to the beaches, restaurants, and groceries.

The owners were absolutely the sweetest…including the pets. Everything was clean and just perfect! It was cozy and nice and we loved the outside shower. We wish all rental owners were as wonderful as the ones with this property. Thank you for having us!!!!

Great cottage!

We came to St. John for a wedding and stayed at Cactus Flower. Vivi and Riley were very gracious hosts and took care of all our needs. Luckily the cottage has a solar generator because the power goes out daily in St. John! The cottage was perfect for us

Joe is a licensed contractor on St John. Tina is a Finance Manager and Real Estate Agent. Our combined family includes 3 daughters who attend college and highschool in the Carolinas. And a son who works and lives in Charlotte, NC. Joe has lived on St. John since 1974 when his parents moved here with their 7 kids. Two siblings and his parents still live on St. John. Tina has lived on St John since 2004 and previously in the 80’s.

Joe found a unique piece of property with historical ruins and pictured building his dream home. He first designed and built Cactus Flower to live in. The cottage has all custom woodworking throughout. He and Tina now live in the main house that he also designed and built. Joe and Tina also own the adjoining property.

The cottage and main villa encompass 250 year old ruins. Together with the adjoining property, there are fruit trees and gardens to enjoy.
