Leslie, arriving to find the house not ready and losing hours of your first evening is a real letdown, especially when you are excited to settle in. The cleaning schedule for that home has been tightened so turnovers finish well before the standard check-in window. Glad the location and the property itself won you over once you got inside, and Hill Country in general has a way of making up for a rough start. Come back in the spring when the wildflowers are out along the resort grounds and the evenings cool down nicely.

Tami, walking to shops and restaurants from a clean, comfortable home base is honestly one of the best ways to do a Hill Country weekend, and it sounds like you found the sweet spot.
