Great place for a staff of baseball coaches to stay at. AC had issues first night we were there and they jumped on it quick to get it back up and running

Gratitude

Our family gathered from CA, CO, IL, WV, VT, DC, MO, and Mexico City, Mexico here to celebrate the life of a beloved grandfather. The home gave us a wonderful respite before and following our time at a cemetery and gathering with a wider community. We enjoyed everything about the pond - the frogs, tadpoles, blue gills, a quite evasive enormous bass that no one was able to catch, the water snakes, the song bird chorus. It was wonderful - and we are so grateful for a comfortable place to lay our heads.

Great property

We stayed this past weekend to attend my son’s graduation from Mizzou. The house was perfect for our large group. Plenty of space for us to spread out and a nice big back yard for the kids to play. Some even fished in the pond. The a/c wasn’t working when we got there, but Tim had someone over the next morning and the issue was resolved. Also, the hot tub didn’t work, would have been nice to use, but there were plenty of other things to do. Tim was very prompt in answering any questions and addressing our concerns. We would definitely stay here again with a large group.

We came to town to get together with friends from college and see a football game. The grounds were great and the house was very nice. It was a little away from town but super easy to get to. I’m glad we weren’t there in the winter due to the gravel driveway which has a fairly steep hill. The kitchen’s organization was strange to us but we found everything we needed

Spacious house...

The house was awesome! The hot tub was a disappointment, not clean the first evening, then the next time it overflowed and kicked a breaker, was too full...then didn't hear back from owner and it didn't warm up, so never got to use it... also there isn't privacy... patio doors from a basement suite right there...kitchen cupboards and drawers need cleaning and organizing... but otherwise we enjoyed our stay😊

Family Weekend at Mizzou

Hot tub was only 84 degrees so that was frustrating and a bummer I feel the pics on this listing were a tad deceiving. House much older decor etc in person that what pics led me to think. Wish it had told us sharp turn off of road to property. Everyone passed it the first time. Also Apple Maps take you across the street!

Just needs basic maintenance and more detailed cleaning. The size of the house was perfect for our extended family for the weekend, and was nicely located just outside of Columbia. Basic maintenance: linen closet door needs attached in Jack & Jill bathroom and the toilet in this bathroom does not refill properly, Keurig did not work however host did try to help by bringing over a regular coffee pot that had been in storage, found dirty dishes in the cabinets, hall bathroom door does not latch, a/c on one end of the house did not work though host gave approval for us to lower the thermostat that was set on 74 when we arrived, ceiling fan in back bedroom vibrates when on, bed sheets were old and stained- I’d recommend spending a little money for new sheets and bath towels for when guests are staying. There was a leak that appeared under the kitchen sink, however the host did come over and fix it and cleaned and sanitized everything well from the repair. Overall, we made it work for the weekend just fine, but for a continuing to rent out this house I’d recommend a few of the typical amenities such as new shower soaps, adequate toilet paper, a new sponge, little things that make it feel well prepared for guests.

We did our best to get you taken care of while at the property. - We were not aware that when they had worked on the new water filter system, there was a loose pipe. We are glad you let us know about it, and we got it fixed immediately while you were out for the day. - We apologize for the Keurig; we think it might have been left on too long. We're glad we were able to provide you with a replacement. - We have never had any complaints about the TV channels; all of the units are smart TVs and fully capable of streaming from all sources. - We had to take care of the cleaning ourselves as our original team was not available. They will be sure to take care of the last few items you mentioned, and will be back soon.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Plenty of space

The home accommodated our needs for plenty of beds for our family. The pond and outdoors were nice for the little ones to explore. The layout doesn’t allow for gathering as a large group. There is plenty of seating but spread out in different rooms. Also the kitchen is not set up for rentals at all. There was 1 spoon and 4 forks. Glasses were hard to find as they were in multiple cabinets. No baking dishes. And some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty. I also didn’t appreciate the rule to not touch the thermostat. It was a spring visit and it got warm while we were there.

Great property, not well maintained.

The house is spacious and on a beautiful plot of land with space for kids to run and a pond to fish. However, the house is not well stocked (no handsoap in the containers, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, no cooking oil or pepper or spatulas or baking dish in the kitchen, 1 roll of paper towels), big spiders, and the beds are ancient and uncomfortable. The hot tub was unusable due to unsafe chemical levels that made us cough. We bought water test strips and the chlorine was at a level 10 which is not safe to use. Also the guest contact number on the listing is not correct- I had to call customer service to get ahold of someone for handsoap as soon as we arrived. If you want a place for a staycation, make sure you bring absolutely everything that is normally provided.

Our group recently stayed at this property. The home is large and provides plenty of sleeping arrangements, which worked well for our group. The kitchen was a plus and had and a nice washer and dryer. Almost every room has a ceiling fan, which added comfort, and the porch off the dining room was a nice bonus.Unfortunately, the overall condition and cleanliness of the home left much to be desired. The powder room was not cleaned before our arrival, with visible stains on and around the toilet. Throughout the house, the level of cleanliness was disappointing: stained bedsheets, visibly dirty bathroom carpets, and even a pile of dead bugs left on a nightstand in the family room. The towels were old and stained, and basic essentials like hand soap in the powder room were missing. The house feels somewhat outdated and rundown, which added to the impression that it is not being maintained at the level expected for a vacation rental. Some of the layout and amenity issues were also frustrating. A major disappointment was the hot tub. It was advertised as a key feature but was not usable. When mentioned to the property owner he said it was not functional for quite awhile. It should’ve been reported as not operational. In summary, this property has space, but it fell short in cleanliness, upkeep and amenities that were important to our stay. With better attention to housekeeping and clearer communication about amenities like the hot tub, this would be a good place.

Long weekend

The house was nice. The description of the property wasn't exactly correct though. The room with the hot tub is downstairs as shown but there are slider doors in the room that go in to an apartment and another rental, so you don't really have privacy. The king bed is not in the room with the bunk beds as stated also. Nothing horrible, just not as described. The only thing our group had an issue with is that the internet wasn't working and the property owner did enter the house when we weren't there to plug it in. There were sticky notes left stating to not unplug the wifi (which we did not). The wifi wasn't working the night we got there or the next morning and the owner was told about it by another renter while we were there. We were uncomfortable that the house was entered without our knowledge and while we were out.

The contact information was not correct that we received from Vrbo. When we arrived there was no information listed for wi-fi, contact info. Was not able to locate towels, paper goods, trash can liners. Owner did show up 2nd day because we were parked in the wrong space🤷🏻‍♀️ Fortunately he was able to give us the info we needed. After that our stay was lovely.
