« Joanne's on the Lake » est un gîte confortable et récemment rénové, situé au bord du lac, au cœur d'un cadre rural paisible le long du magnifique lac Quennell, à Cedar, juste à la sortie de Nanaimo. Niché au bout d'une route calme sans issue, c'est un lieu de villégiature idéal pour les couples et les familles souhaitant se détendre et explorer le sud de l'île de Vancouver.

Ce gîte lumineux et ouvert peut accueillir confortablement 4 à 6 personnes, avec deux chambres équipées de lits queen-size et un canapé-lit dans le salon. Profitez d’une cuisine entièrement équipée, d’un lave-vaisselle, d’un lave-linge et d’un sèche-linge, de la climatisation, de haut-parleurs encastrés au plafond et d’une télévision de 75 pouces. Sortez sur la terrasse spacieuse, idéale pour prendre un café le matin ou organiser des barbecues en soirée avec vue sur le lac.

Profitez pleinement de la vie au bord du lac grâce à votre ponton privé, parfait pour nager, pagayer ou simplement vous détendre sur l’eau. Le lac Quennell est réputé pour la pêche au bar, en particulier au printemps et en été. Apportez votre planche de paddle, votre kayak ou tout autre équipement nautique, et mettez à l’eau de petits bateaux à quelques minutes seulement. Terminez votre journée en vous réunissant autour du foyer sur mesure, sous les étoiles.

La nature vous entoure ici, avec des fermes à proximité et la possibilité de rencontrer et de nourrir des chèvres, des cochons et des poules sympathiques sur l’hébergement. Il y a également de superbes sentiers de randonnée à proximité pour ceux qui souhaitent partir à la découverte des environs.

Idéalement situé, Joanne's se trouve à seulement 15 minutes de l'aéroport de Nanaimo (YCD) et du terminal de ferry de Duke Point, à 25 minutes de Departure Bay, et à seulement 10 minutes des supermarchés, des restaurants et des commodités locales. Pour vous rendre sur le continent, le ferry Hullo propose une traversée rapide de 70 minutes, sans embarquement des véhicules, jusqu’au centre-ville de Vancouver.

Great place to stay near Nanaimo. Lovely property with 2 goats and a few chickens. Very clean and comfortable with beautiful lake views. Our children loved it!

The setting was absolutely beautiful. Right on the lake with still waters and gorgeous scenery. The house was very clean and beautiful inside with all of the amenities that you would expect. Very comfortable bed and great views of the lake from the sitting room. Big, beautiful TV for entertainment but we spent most of our time sitting outside enjoying the peaceful setting and watching all of the wildlife. There were deer, rabbits, squirrels and many different birds. We also got to feed the resident goats. We had fresh eggs every morning out of the chicken coop beside the house. This was an exceptionally relaxing holiday for us and we recommend it for any wanting to “just slow down and relax”.Lee was there whenever we had any questions. We met him and he’s a super nice guy. Thanks for everything.

Joanne’s on the Lake - WOW what an amazing property and location. We could not have asked for anything more. From the initial booking to leaving the hosts have been excellent. The property had everything we needed for our stay and the men were happy with the fishing equipment provided.They even caught a few fish. Breakfast every morning was provided by your lovely chickens - the eggs were so tasty! During our stay the weather was kind to us so we sat out on the patio having breakfast soaking up the amazing views most mornings. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer to take advantage of the quiet beautiful location of this excellent property. We will definitely be back.

Awesome stay, once again!

Second year in a row staying at the lake house and it was just a wonderful visit. The kids always had something to do - swimming, fishing, frog catching, feeding the goats, exploring the property. The house was clean, the kitchen had every amenity, gas stove/bbq. We had an amazing time and we’ll definitely be back!

Relaxing waterfront oasis

Joanne’s on the lake was the perfect getaway for us! The private dock was perfect launch for going bass fishing and paddle boarding, the gorgeous decks, beautiful shady landscaped side offered a refuge from the sun, numerous games or a huge tv for the evenings. We’ll be back for sure!

A lovely spot!

We had such a great week here! The property is super comfortable and our daughter enjoyed feeding the goats and looking for eggs in the chicken coup every day. Lee has lot’s of nice touches like lawn games available. We’ll be back :)

Magical Time Away from Home

This was our second time booking this home and returning to the comfort of knowing our family vacation will be relaxing, serene and peaceful. Brought the kayaks this time and the lake didn’t disappoint. Calm waters and beautiful sunsets. Beautiful farm and lake setting offers an unique getaway experience. Great hosts.

A Large Piece of Paradise!

Joanne and Lee the caretaker thank you for letting us stay at your place of paradise. It was a wonderful background for us to visit with our grandchildren from Northwest Territories. It offered a place for them to run around, feed the goats and chickens with a dock to fishl. I wish I could keep your place a secret but I know I need to share. Once again thank you very much for a wonderful vacation!!!

Amazing place!

The cottage is just beautiful and the setting can’t be beat! Lovely for a restful stay in a beautiful environment. Lee and Corrie were very helpful with a couple of minor issues. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock with the fishing rod that was supplied. He even caught a couple of fish! We will definitely come back hopefully for longer next time.

10 nights in paradise

Every imaginable convenience, impeccably clean, beautiful setting with the sights and sounds of nature to begin and end each day. Lee, the host, lives next door and could not have been more gracious. The best Vrbo experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had some good ones. Cannot think of any possible way to improve the experience, except to stay longer. Thank you Lee and family for an extraordinary visit.

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful. Peaceful lake, wildlife, and goats and chickens! Lee was very accommodating. Excellent message response time. He even brought us some delicious eggs from his chickens. The kids enjoyed fishing from the dock, even though they didn't catch anything. 😂 The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen items. I highly recommend the lake house!

Couldn’t wish for anything more!

The most stunning and ideallic place to stay! There was nothing Joanne’s didn’t have to offer. We fed goats, talked to the chickens and had their fresh eggs, we had wonderful dinners outside using the bbq, took some dips out on the lake - the place was stoked with everything for cooking and baking, plus more towels than we could ever use (both bath and outdoor). The interior and exterior is so beautiful and kept so, so clean. The furniture is so cozy and comfy, plus they’re equipped with games to play with the family. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and would LOVE to come back again and again! We didn’t want to leave!

Amazing weekend away!

Staying on the property was so nice! My 8 month old loved seeing farm animals for the first time, and the property was so nice to get away and relax. Having a fire right by the lake felt like we were much farther from home than we were. The house was clean, and had ample amount of towels, pillows, bedding and kitchen supplies that we didnt need to bother the host for extras. We loved that the house came fully equipped with all the kitchen goods (even an air fryer!), and basics like seasonings and kitchen staples. The host was amazing and allowed us to meet the pigs and was quick to respond to any requests. 10/10 would visit this home again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

One of our best stays ever!

We were so happy with every aspect of this stay. Country living (complete with goats, chickens, deer, rabbits and a pig) in a beautifully designed home. The living spaces, indoors and out, allowed our party of 4 to get together for meals and games and also have spaces for some “alone time”. The kitchen had every dish and appliance necessary to afford ease in cooking whatever we dreamed up in our 5 day stay and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated during our fabulously sunny July visit. Our host Lee was gracious and accommodating and quick to respond to any questions as well as providing additional linens and a dozen eggs from the chickens! We brought kayaks and a row boat to paddle on Quennell Lake and explored it every day. Truly one of the best VRBO experiences we’re had in many years of travel. Thank you!

Fabulous Experience

Lee was a wonderful host, going out of his way to make us feel welcome. He even put his own eggs in the chicken’s nesting box so our grandson could ‘find’ them for breakfast in the morning. We were delighted to find that he had turned the heat on for us before we arrived so the house was warm. He also supplied us with flour to thicken the gravy for our Thanksgiving dinner (which we had forgotten) It was a wonderful place to spend time reconnecting with family! The farm animals were friendly, the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The house was lovely, and the views stunning! Don’t hesitate to book this place for a fabulous experience!!
