Cozy Sunset Cabin located lakeside in family friendly campground

Watch the sun set from your private porch overlooking beautiful Buck Lake located just 20 minutes outside of Huntsville. Your private backyard is a great place to bbq, chill, or roast some smores at your firepit.

Sunset Cabin is a large, open concept, country cottage with many of the conveniences of home! The kitchen is fully appointed with a dishwasher, stove, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. There are many places to sit and look at the lake both inside and outside the cottage. One bed is a pull out queen and the other a double. there is also a couch that one person could sleep on. The TV has satellite cable and lots of DVD's for rainy days. Or better yet play one of the many board games, or try the upright piano!

We are located inside a family friendly campground so there are shared spaces such as the front lawn and the private beach (private to our small campground). Our lake is beautiful to swim in and has a sandy beach that slopes gently out. There are no sudden drop offs or strong currents. There is good fishing for bass, pike, walleye, and even the occasional crappie. The campground is very private and quiet. Quiet hours are after 10pm. We are often joined by deer, moose, and beavers in our area and even on the front lawn! If you enjoy watching birds there is no shortage of them - warblers, vireos, robins, hummingbirds, herons, and so much more. The back of the cottage has 2 public bathrooms that are not seen or accessed from the cottage itself, but you may hear the occasional door close.

If exploring is your thing the town of Huntsville is only 20 minutes away with lots of shops, restaurants, and fun things to do. Other local attractions include the Dwight General Store, Lookout, Screaming Heads, Copperhead Distillery, and much more.

The highlight is definitely the beautiful sunset you can enjoy from your porch each evening or if you're an early bird watch the sun come up from the other porch.
