Close to the city and close to nature, this renovated cottage is located on a quiet cul-de-sac next to a reserve in the wonderful Aro Valley - home of Garage Project, Rita restaurant, Arobake and much more.

Only a 15-minute walk to Cuba St.

Inside there are two bedrooms (one queen, one double) and an office room equipped with two desks and monitors (with HDMI). There are two heat pumps to keep the house nice and warm. The kitchen, dining and lounge are open plan, with the kitchen opening out to a patio area.

Outside there is also seated front porch and a tandem carport.

Please note there is a security camera at the front entrance to help us preserve the peace and security of this great neighbourhood. No additional guests without prior approval.

Aro Valley Cottage

The cottage was perfect for our needs. It is private and peaceful yet very close to the bustling city.We hope to stay here again when we next visit Wellington.

A perfect place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location was great as it was close to everything we wanted to do in Wellington. The off road parking was a huge bonus too. Everything about this charming cottage was perfect!

Nice stay in Wellington

It was our first time in Wellington and this was a nice quiet place to stay. We walked to Te Papa which wasn't far and really enjoyed the Weta workshop and Mt Victoria.

House was very clean and communication with owners was to notch! We loved the country feel but easy accessibility to bus and travel anywhere in the city! Loved it!

Cottage is very nicely fitted out and really clean. Nice bush outlook and quiet area. Easy walk to village and on to the central city.

Private city cottage with carpark.

Beautiful property, amazing hosts, highly recommend to anyone wanting to be in the heart of Wellington. Could not fault any part of the stay. Waking up to bird song from nearby Zealandia park was amazing.

Excellent holiday!

Our family of 3 adults stayed at the residence for our 10 day stay in Wellington.Well equipped property and very good hosts. Excellent location - we were able to walk into central Wellington most days. Lots to see and do very close by.Arobake and Aro Cafe were bith great recommendations.We had a great time - thank you!

Everything we needed.

Good location about 15 mins walk from the city . Really appreciated the carport..parking isnt easy to find in Wellington. Very clean and well stocked. I'd stay again.

Excellent Property & Location

The property on arrival exceeded our expectations. Everything we wanted was there. The area was quiet, yet within a 10 minute walk of local shops. Five minutes further walk and you're at Cuba Street with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Wonderful Accommodation

My husband and I stayed here for six nights in January. We loved this spacious cottage and especially appreciated the private back patio, perfect for relaxing after a day of touring Wellington. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was also an easy walk down through the quaint Aro Village to the city centre. Many thanks to the owner. We highly recommend this place for couples, friends travelling together and families.

Great house in awesome location

Lovely house, well equipped with all the little things you forget or don't want to buy for a short stay. Off street parking is very convenient, only 1 min off the end of the motorway and a short walk to many cafes and restaurants. Clean and tidy, good heating and lovely hot water. Owners had great communication and were very helpful!

Cottage in Wellington

Very nice cottage but chilly in winter August. We missed accessing local TV stations but did access streaming. Beds were comfortable and the mattress heaters really helped keep us warm! Very nice to have full kitchen and full size washing machine AND dryer.

Not for us

The house looks as listed and the location is good for traveling around Wellington. It is an old cottage and was not as clean as we would have liked. As it is an older home, there is a bit of a musty smell, but you can remedy this by opening the windows and airing the place out during your stay.

It's seems to be challenging to convince guests to leave the small windows at each end of the house slightly open for airflow, even thought there are safety locks, and the air reticulation system through the house seems not match for Wellington, but alas, we have removed our wee humble cottage from short term stays!

Clean well appointed home in a great area

What a nice surprise. The house is very clean with modern appliances and lots of amenities. There are grocery stores, restaurants, cinemas nearby and easy access to Interstate 15. The backyard is fenced and has a covered patio. The Wi-if is very fast and there are smart TVs in the den and Master bedroom. There is no access to the garage.

Great Wellington Villa

Wellington Villa style with mod cons. Very comfortable with all amenities that you could wish for. Nice and close to city. Quiet peaceful gardens. Would happily stay again.

A Lovely Wellington Villa!

Very relaxing and a quiet spot. Clean and tidy, lovely furnishings and well equipped. We enjoyed hearing the birdlife in the mornings too. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Cottage

They thought about everything to make our stay over easier, even an ambrella. It's the perfect place to stay for a small family with older kids. Nice quiet neighbourhood, clean and safe little house not to far from the city centre.
