The Villa was as described inside but the outdoor area was different. The outdoor tropical look spa area had weeds on the pavers and a lot in the garden bed. Overall the exterior of the property was a bit bare and tired looking. Quite a few plants were missing compared to the website pic at the rear of the Villa. Spa wasn't the same water colour as the pic. The bbq was rusty. No secure parking as described on the website, both the side gate and main parking area gates were open all the time with cars coming and going from the other units. We never saw them closed in our 3 night stay. The interior of the Villa was clean and had all we required. Our host was friendly and answered the phone quickly when I said we couldn't use the tight taps in the handbasin. He advised he knew of the constant dripping tap and it was due to be fixed after we left and we agreed to that. Scarborough is a great location. The Villa is a easy walk to supermarket, food venues and things to see as well as the stunning white beach and the ocean.

Fantastic stay at Scarborough Beach Villa. A great location close to beach and amenities. We really appreciated the personal service and nice touches like a welcome bottle of wine. Would highly recommend.

Scarborough November 2023

Neil’s place is as described and well located 8 minutes walk from the Scarborough Esplanade - good cafes, restaurants and hotel. Fabulous for sunset watching on the Esplanade. Neil is very generous with his welcome gifts including a bottle of red wine under his own label - I think it was Shiraz. It was nice to have lovely soft white towels (like at home). The beds were not comfortable for us though - only a thin layer of mattress between you and the springs. Overall, a good stay was had by the family.

We were thrilled with our recent stay at Neils beach house. The accommodation was clean modern and had everything we needed for a short stay with our children. Neil was flexible and communicative. The hot tub and the fire panel made for a great way to relax each night. We also appreciated the complimentary wine! We would definitely stay here again, it was honestly a fantastic option for our family.

Clean and Convenient Scarborough Apartment

The pros: Location very convenient/walkable to Scarborough's main "scene" -- shops, community pool, and beach, restaurants. Neil is a very responsive host and keeps a very clean property. The picky stuff: Immediate neighborhood includes construction of an adjacent high-rise which minimized enjoyment (noise factor) of the little patio and we felt could have been mentioned in the rental description. The main bedroom bed didn't meet the usual quality of other rentals. Overall, a comfortable place from which to explore and enjoy Scarborough and the picky stuff shouldn't deter a stay here.

We really enjoyed the stay the house, was very close to the beach and nice and cosy overall I would say that our overall rating was 4.5/5. The owner was very helpful if we had a problem and fixed it in no time.

Great house and a great location

The communication with Neil was great. They provided everything we needed and more. The spa was perfect when it was too windy for the beach. Very close to shops and beach. We'll be back!

Perfect place, town and outstanding host.

The hosts Neil and Anita, were by far the best communicators and providers of an online accommodation booking experience I have had in my recent 5 years or so of using these services. Their accommodation was absolutely everything you could want. Amazing how they set up their cozy little space with more than the average 2 bedroom villa...we certainly utilised that spa and daybed the whole time we were there. It was close to the beach, supermarket, bars and restaurants...everything you needed was an enjoyable 10 minute stroll from the villa. Gelato bars, awesome open skatepark, big kids playpark, surf shops, e scooters, and that amazingly built amphitheatre on the beach to view the sunsets.....Neil and Anita's beach villa is right there at the doorstep of beautiful Scarborough.....we fell in love and will definitely be back. But as impressed as we were with the town, we were equally blown away with our hosts willingness to provide us with the small details needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Everything from communicating pre arrival queries, to providing us with requests made during our stay to make things perfect. We met Neil a couple of times while we were there and he's an outstanding provider and lovely person...great guy...10/10 👍👍

Little Gem!

Neil’s place is quiet and very charming. There is a lovely little outdoor area with a heated spa which our children loved! It was perfectly clean with everything you need for your stay. It is very close to the beach, grocery store and pubs, all within walking distance. Neil was very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when he welcomed us. We would definitely recommend!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

Excellent location, short walk from the beach & cafes/restaurants. The property has been very well renovated & the outdoor area with the spa is a great place to relax. The check in process was very simple and Neil was very helpful with any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again.
